I would like to share my recent experience during check-in at [Hotel Name], which was far below the standards I expected—especially from a four-star hotel.
We had booked two rooms through Expedia, but upon arrival, the front desk staff could only locate one reservation. I showed them my confirmation emails and my Expedia account, clearly proving that both rooms had been booked. The front desk agent called for assistance from another staff member (possibly a manager), but they were still unable to locate the second booking.
Instead of offering a solution, I was told to call Expedia myself. Being a visitor from Canada, I had to activate my international data plan, which cost me extra just to make the call. While I was on the phone with Expedia, the staff eventually found the second reservation—but continued to ignore me when I asked multiple times whether I should hang up the call.
What was most disappointing was the complete lack of professionalism and courtesy. The staff member who found the booking offered no apology, abruptly walked away, and made us feel as though the issue was somehow our fault. I remained polite throughout, even thanking her in hopes of encouraging a more respectful interaction, but it was clear that customer service was not a priority.
To make matters worse, the hotel lacks basic amenities like a kettle or access to hot water, which is not what one would expect from a four-star property. Based on this experience, I would rate this hotel no more than two stars.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to improvements for future guests.
There is a huge lack of customer service here.
The room itself is ok though.
