Me and my partner stayed at Hotel Victor for two nights.|We ve booked the stay with breakfast, which was extra $50 for two per day.|The hotel staff and amenities were superb. Clean rooms, well equipped gym, spa etc. All the hotel staff were amazing, always friendly and accommodating.|The breakfast on the other hand… it is provided by a Cafe adjacent to the hotel.|It is done in the form of a menu. As soon as we sat down on the first morning we were quite shocked by the service. The wait staff were very rushed and paid very little attention to us. The menu is set and not very balanced at all, for ex. You can get two eggs with bread and potato, or plain pancakes with syrup etc… however i did manage after a long debate to swap the side of potatoes for a bowl of fruit.|The next morning my partner had to leave very early so i came to the breakfast alone. We still paid for two breakfasts. Yet again as soon as the waiter (a different one to the first day) noticed my breakfast vouchers it took good 10minutes to bring the menu and another 15 to take the order. I ordered the same meal as the other day to which he replied that “it s not possible” that “this is a free menu”.|After a - too long discussion - he agreed “to check” if i can swap fruit for potatoes to have with two eggs...for $25|I also ordered an avocado toast for the second meal.|All of this comes with careless, rude attitude that really makes you not want to be in the environment.|I managed to get the order right however was left in shock when the $25 avocado toast arrived. One slice of bread (a nice one to be fair) with barely half an avocado spread on it. Absolutely ridiculous.|Oh and my drink order (which was just water on the second day) never arrived…|I dont think I’ve ever left a bad review in my life and guess this was the situation that really called for it.|So yes, absolutely thrilled with the hotel but do not book the breakfast. Staff doesn’t give a sh** as soon as they realise you re with the hotel and prepaid for you breakfast and what u getting for $25 is laughable.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Victor Hotel in South Beach! The location is unbeatable - right on Ocean Drive and directly across from the beach. It was lovely to be steps away from the ocean, and the hotel made it even more convenient to enjoy by providing lounge chairs and towels to take out to the beach. We also loved taking advantage of the complimentary bikes and enjoyed biking the scenic trail that runs alongside the beach.|The terrace offers a beautiful view of the ocean and enjoyable space to play games.||From start to finish, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we want to give a special shoutout to Pino, who was wonderful in helping us with our reservation and making sure we were settled in comfortably upon check-in.||Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. We especially loved the balcony that overlooked the pool with a beautiful view of the ocean - it made for a perfect way to start and end each day.||We honestly can’t say enough positive things about this place. The combination of a prime location, outstanding service, and great amenities made this one of our favorite stays. We would definitely return and highly recommend Hotel Victor to anyone visiting Miami!

Google
Victor Hotel in Miami left us with mixed impressions. The reception team was welcoming, especially Ricardo (hope the name is right), and that was a good start. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The rooms are very small, and there is almost no privacy in the bathroom area. A glass partition separates the bathroom from the bedroom, which is quite inconvenient when staying with kids. The only plus was having direct access to the pool from the room, along with separate outdoor showers and plenty of sunbeds. The pool itself was clean and well-maintained. The location is right in the middle of Ocean Drive, which sounds exciting until you try to sleep. The noise at night is constant and often overwhelming, especially the sound of cars showing off. The hotel seems to attract many visitors of the pride beach across the street. Room service was a real letdown. Towels were not replaced properly, and I had to call the reception every single day just to get basic items. It felt like there was no consistency in housekeeping, and the management should really take action to improve it. Breakfast was another weak point. Vouchers offer a very limited selection, and after a few days it gets repetitive. The staff serving breakfast acted as if they were doing guests a favor. To make it worse, the restaurant is also open to outside guests who have access to a different menu, and that means hotel guests can end up without seats, especially outdoors. One more thing worth mentioning is parking. If you go through the hotel, it’s $50 per night, but if you deal directly with the same parking company outside, it’s $40 per night. Small difference, but it says a lot about the setup. Overall, the hotel has potential but misses the mark on several important points. It looks stylish on the outside, but the experience doesn’t quite live up to it.

We stayed at this hotel for nine nights. Great location, but the cleanliness was terrible. The floor was not swept even once during our stay! We had to buy our own bath soap because, even though we asked for more, it was never replaced. The same goes for tissues – they were never restocked either. The bathroom floor was never mopped, not even once! There were always towels missing; on some days, we had to request them because there was only one towel in the room. The sides of the bed were dusty and had dirt that looked like it had been there for ages! We were very poorly treated by the night receptionist (with red highlights in her hair), who clearly didn’t care and made no effort to resolve anything. On the other hand, the morning staff (especially Ricardo) were extremely polite and kind. The glasses in the room were never washed, not even once! That’s it. What a shame!!!

5 Stars and beyond! Hotel Victor is first class. Conveniently located along Ocean Drive South Beach. Directly across the street from beach access and the beach walk. Minutes away with a short walk to everything from restaurants, museums, shopping, shows, historic sites and more… Magnificently beautiful nostalgically decorated quaint and boutique-like. Clean, cool and comfortable. Hotel personnel were all professional, friendly, polite, courteous, attentive and informative. Greeted at check-in by Jeff. Checking in process was a breeze. Night manager Laura was just as delightly and making you feel at home as well. Among the amenities in the hotel, guests have access to the pool, bicycles, beach chairs, towels for the beach and pool plus 10% off their restaurants. A real plus for us. Room was clean, bright, nicely decorated and comfortable overlooking the pool with a partial oceanview. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay here again at our next visit to South Beach Miami.

Google
Hotel had a great location! As for the rooms -they had lack of sound proofing. Liked the design on the bathroom which made it more designer style. Practicle for a couple, but probably unpractical for a family. The staff did not answer on the phone when calling the reception from our room.

Fun to sit at pool and watch the flashy people stroll by! Pool had plush towels fruit infused waters, and oranges/apples for snacks! 10%off they offered at 3 high end local restaurants great too! Laura at desk very welcoming and helpful...the large screen computers in beautiful art deco lobby were really helpful for some planning too!

A wonderful hotel for a vacation. Excellent location, valet parking, breakfast, terrace, pool area with various games, gym, and spa. The front desk was attentive to every detail. Many thanks to Pino. 💯guaranteed.

Yelp
I checked in today and am very pleased with this hotel. The location is spectacular for South Beach. It's that same location I know and love from playing Grand Theft Auto Vice City from my childhood. Now, I get to experience it in person. Across the street from a great beach. Lots of bars and restaurants next door. The staff is top notch. A gentleman at the front desk when I tried checking in early was so professional and helpful. Went out of his way to help me. You don't get quality service that often. The room is extremely nice and perfectly cleaned. I made the right choice staying here. I looked at a lot of other hotels on this same street and none looked as nice in the photos. This one looks just as good as their beautiful hotel photos. The restaurant attached to the hotel is great and has a hard working waiter who was rushing to help everyone attentively. Very friendly place. I took this trip on an impulse by myself and I feel that it was worth it. It's nice to get out of the house and do something once in a while. If you're debating on where to stay in this area you won't regret Hotel Victor. I know this review sounds shady but I assure you I am a real customer who is very happy with staying here.

Yelp
The rooms are run down, everything felt dirty, no food, no room service, super unfriend and unhelpful staff. It has to be one of the worst hotels in South beach. Impossible to even complain about the condition of the room because there is no one to talk to be a check in person who has no information and refuses to listen to any issues with the rooms. Its also under repair so my room was super noisy with the construction. Neer seen anything like this.

Yelp
A wonderful breath of fresh air on your stroll of South Beach. Gorgeous hotel and lovely bar off of the lobby, where the cocktails are top-notch. Cocktails taken to the 2nd floor pool deck = Ocean Blvd viewing at its finest!

Yelp
So, anyone here a fan of Formula 1? Or NASCAR? If so, you know races are won or lost in the pits. The driver is important but the team is crucial to winning. Same thing here at Hotel Victor! And what a world class team! We began our vacay with beautiful and charming Laura at the front desk. She cordially and graciously welcomed us, upsold us on a room upgrade (ye$ plea$e - worth every penny) and gave us tips on what to see and where to go here in South Beach. At every coming or going we were greeted by name by gracious staff (Ann, Veronica, Ricardo, Emmanual) who asked about our stay and ensured all was well. The house is spotless, the room crews affable and efficient, and the associated restaurant offers a 15% discount! All things told, the Hotel Victor takes the Checkered Flag! Many thanks for a great stay - and see you next year! MW & KW

Yelp
I would give this hotel a zero if I could. No parking. Try to force almost $50 valet on you. We booked through booking.com, and when we arrived, the front desk said that we owed money and needed a card, but we paid in full on Booking.com. We left to contact Booking.com, and when they tried to get ahold of the Hotel to straighten it out, nobody would answer. We ended up sleeping in our until time to arrive at our cruise terminal. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you like driving 16 hrs to end up sleeping in your car.

Yelp
Great hotel to stay at on ocean drive, it has a really nice rooftop swimming pool.you also have use of there computer cafe free internet .The art there on the walls are awesome,an their seats are really comfortable. You also have cabs and uber car service that will pick you up right in front of the hotel. Plus the sugar factory is inside the victor hotel, me and my wife celebrated our birthdays there before, really nice party atmosphere. Because on any given day some one is celebrating a birthday at the sugar factory. The food there is pretty good we went Italian when we were there Thchicken parmesan, with pasta, along with the chicken alfredo. This restaurant is kind of pricey but its south beach. Don't forget about there famous acholic drinks they are huge and pricey and you can have smoke come out of them as well. These drinks are very famous and is one of the restaurants biggest attractions. There pastries a good they have nice selection of cakes ,candy cupcakes ,candy, ice cream .you will see why this restaurant is called the sugar factory. The hotel is right across the street the street from Miami beach. The beach has a nice park with a bike path ,walking path benches ,citi bikes you can rent the park is pretty big .Its connected to the beach If you ever get a chance to visit Miami beach ocean drive ,the victor isn't a bad hotel to stay at,and a couple of other hotels have a connection with the victor were you have access to the pool and cafe.

Yelp
I was charged $300 dollars for someone else's valet parking waited for some to call me back and justify the the situation but that never happened. Called to try and talk to someone again and got hung up on poor customer service if you ask me. I will filling a dispute with my bank next this is ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend staying here. Don't stay here poor and terrible customer service.

Yelp
Hotel Victor South Beach on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach is a great place to stay by the beach and in the middle of everything. I really like the location and atmosphere that they have created here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have the best stay.

Yelp
So let's talk about one of the Top 10 restaurants in South beach, Hotel Victor has it down to a science. I ordered the bacon eggs and avocado with French toast on the side ( I'm a pig Ik but I work hard in the gym so it's fine ). The sandwich was well crafted, the French toast was beautiful and it tasted 10/10. I couldn't recommend a better place to visit in the area. It was amazing For a reasonable price. Service was great and the hostess was fine as hell

Yelp
Doesn't look like much when you walk right by it but it's one of the best hotels I've stayed at while visiting Miami. It's right on ocean drive so no need to get a car. I love this hotel because they were very accommodating and had beach chairs, towels, and bikes. The hotel room we stayed on had a beautiful view of the ocean and when we walked in the room was very clean. Right next to the hotel was the House of Versace which was very convenient for us during our stay. Perfect location for families or a group of friends to stay at!

Yelp
Update: no response from hotel so bumping to 1 star. Can only imagine how horrible an experience it would have been.

Jane S.

Yelp
Clean rooms. Really lovely people at front desk. Nice location. Had a room with partial view of ocean -- which would be better if they cleaned the windows! Very grimy view. I know being by the ocean is a challenge, but clean windows when the view is The Thing would be a good idea. Rooms are hermetically sealed -- can't open even a part of window for fresh air and they are heavy on cleaning materials that smell a lot, very chemically. Suggest providing some capacity for fresh ventilation, and also go to scent-less cleaning materials. I felt most of the time I was in the room that I was being slowly poisoned! Public areas seem a bit "worn." Nice big desk in room, which is great for work and also laying out stuff. But the desk lamp has a weird flicker that is strobe-like and impossible to have on to do work! If I HAD to come back, I would but I would prefer to look elsewhere. But all of these issues are remedy-able.

Yelp
If you're paying close to $600 a night you expect a certain level of satisfaction and this place is really not a good value. I wanted to feel indulged but this place was just not that. Left feeling ripped off especially as had booked this place for three days. The photos online are completely not accurate!! The location is central but the view is not as it appears online (mostly of a boardwalk from fourth floor) and would not call this resort level at all. Standard room, pool is very small and only 3 ft deep. Additional resort fee felt unnecessary ($20/day for towels)??? I mean, come on! Lots of basic things missing: no cups for coffee in the room, nowhere to hang towels, no private door to shower or toilet area in room. Room felt slightly aged, especially rug around the beds. Honestly the best thing was free bike rentals. Extremely disappointed overall and wouldn't come back.

Yelp
The reason we selected this hotel during Covid was because the rules were easy to find on the website and said strictly enforce after looking at multiple hotels there rules we're not listed or easily found. When you go on vacation You're going on vacation their expectations you have minimum or maximum a vision in your mind or vibe you're looking for. After arriving to the hotel the beautiful airy ambiance of the lobby, Visibly posted Rules for Covid he felt comfortable. The check in process was complete chaos stating that each night needed to be paid for it separately having insert your card multiple times just to pay for your stay.Handed two bottles of water and no mention of any of the Covid rules but only the rules I need to be followed during the week of spring break with the curfew that had been implemented. Our room was clean and the level of cleanliness was perfect. Modern, sleek and spacious. The reason for a two star rating is due to the security and safety at this hotel yes it is on the main street for what goes on in your hotel needs to be controlled by the staff and it is a direct reflection of this hotel itself; it was utter chaos. From cigarettes found all over the pool deck for a non-smoking hotel. To people visibly smoking on their balcony. Blasting music from each balcony I'm screaming into the middle of the night well until 1:30 AM is a complete Nuisance. The hotel did zero about this, after calling it in, requesting it to be stopped. All a direct reflection on your hotel, and what you're going to attract. If I wanna oh hotel but didn't hear or would let everything slide this would definitely be the hotel I had selected but I didn't I selected this hotel based on the way they were approaching Covid and how they said everything would be handled. Zero enforcement of any rule covid or not. Pool closes at 7pm but there's a secret way to enter that had been shared multiple times. The other frustrating part is there have been multiple people who are not staying at this hotel using its amenities such as the pool, and drunk people stumbling into the lobby asking to use the restroom. This is a direct reflection on management and staff, and I would not stay here again based on these reason.

Yelp
Location, location, location!! Hotel sits right on Ocean Avenue & 12th Street pretty much in the center of all you'd ever really want in South Beach, and next door to the Versace mansion & restaurant. For an old hotel, it's age is showing in the finer details like carpets, grout lines and oddly configured rooms but it definitely had a lot of charm where it really counts, and the staff was top notch especially Mykel who runs front desk and went above and beyond. Strangely all the mirrors in bathrooms are super high and hung recessed back from the sinks making it incredibly challenging for anyone below 5'5" to properly use the mirrors. The interior designer must have been really tall or all mirrors were an afterthought in design!! The mirrors actually remind me of those flimsy dorm room mirrors which stood out as strange to me because the rest of the interior design was tasteful Art Deco with large marble rain shower/bath tub and stainless fixtures. In my case, I needed to get daily eye contacts in an out so Mykel went on a scavenger hunt to find a vanity mirror which was so appreciated. Seems like a small thing but it made a huge difference when could see on my vacay! Also upon check-in, the manager noticed it was a birthday celebration so sent up Sparkling wine and fresh berries to the room - a very thoughtful gesture that made the welcome special. They are generous with providing cold bottled water in room and to take to the beach because it is insanely humid there! Towels, beach chairs and bikes also available upon request to use and return to front desk. There was a Lavazza coffee machine in the room which at first I was excited about but for the life of me, I couldn't get it to do anything but run water all over the console and dribble three drops of coffee into the mug so I'm guessing it was probably broken. I run on coffee soooo gratefully they had a station set up by the lobby elevators for coffee and tea daily each morning as well as individually wrapped green apples to take on the go! They have a full spa and meditation center tucked away on the lower level, but they won't allow you to use without an appointment and no photos allowed. It was very tranquil and I didn't book in time to use it this trip so I'll have to plan ahead another time. The pool area was beautiful and was open daily until 7pm. I kind of wish it was open slightly later because it would have been nice to chill there before going out for dinner and after a day at the beach. Cest la Vie! Overall it was a great convenient place to stay and I felt relaxed in this atmosphere. Word to the wise: SoBe is a bit rowdy and loud but once inside the hotel it was peaceful and I got the rest and relaxation I wanted so mission accomplished! Until next time:)

Yelp
This hotel has both pros and cons. If I were to come to south beach again, I think I would try somewhere else. Pros: - Clean rooms with comfortable bed - Amazing heated pool with cabanas - Very nice hotel staff - Accommodated early check in with no extra cost - Location: seconds from the beach and 100+ restaurants - Supplied beach chairs and towels to check out Cons: - We had our clean room sign on for 2 days with no service. Finally on day 3 they came at 630 pm while we were getting ready for dinner - For $350 a night, small below average coffee in room, no robes, limited tv channels and very small rooms - The elevators broke down and they refused to open the stairs as this was for "emergencies only", apparently the elevators being broken wasn't an emergency Overall the hotel was nice but you are paying for location and the excellent pool.
google avatar

Nikki T.

Yelp
10/10 the best hotel on ocean drive. The ocean/pool view. The pool with free cabanas. A bar and restaurant on-site to beagle to get drinks and food by the pool. Only place I would recommend to stay that is nice with nice amenities right on ocean drive and not overly expensive.

Yelp
We had the best stay here thanks to Miguel at the front. He made us feel welcomed, and he was incredibly helpful. All of his dining and activity recommendations were perfect. We were very satisfied with our stay and owe it to Miguel!

S C.

Yelp
Spent four nights at the hotel, the lobby is very nice Cafe Americano is really good. Our room was nice except for the bathroom, our shower had no water pressure. Maintenance did try and fix it but we're unable, so there was no shower pressure. I did ask for another room but I was not given one, my other complaint about the room was the windows, the windows are so dirty you can't see outside. The other problem with the hotel is the pool, old dirty and uninviting. The hotel does provide you with a beach chair and towels which is very nice. Would i recommend this hotel to a friend probably not only because of the pool and as dumb as it sounds looking out of dirty windows is just skivie.
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
I would probably stay here again. We got a room that opened up to the pool area which was nice. The hotel itself is really pretty. It was also very reasonably priced for a hotel on Ocean Drive that has a pool. Pros: nice tv, large bath tub, decent size room. Cons: the WiFi doesn't work and the bed wasn't comfortable.

Hannah M.

Yelp
Hotel Victor is a beautiful hotel in the perfect location for partying. We weren't there for the club action and felt that we could barely sleep in this hotel because of its location. Overall the service was incredible. The manager (Jeffery I think?) was so sweet and accommodating. The negatives: you can hear everything that happens in the hotel from your room, inside and out. Also, we didn't love the cleanliness of our room, specifically the bathroom.
google avatar

Yelp
"South Beach Boutique Hotel" is a risky search term; sometimes you get a winner, but more often you get something that makes you want to sanitize all clothing immediately after leaving. The Victor is a pleasant surprise. The lobby is reminiscent - in an amusing way - of a certain hotel in a Wes Anderson movie; a bit dated, though clearly started out as a top-notch place to see and be seen. The elevators and corridors to the rooms again evoke that Wes Anderson vibe. But then you open your room and find all kinds of happy surprises, that get better as you go along. My wife fell in love with the very unique and nicely done minibar, with a small fridge for waters. I liked the numerous outlets for my endless collection of things that need charging. The TV was a nice surprise; I think it had pretty much every premium channel on it. But the nicest and most unique feature was the bathroom. I hate to spoil it by describing everything, but it's huge, and manages to be both artistic and practical. It was honestly the most fun feature of the room. (Couples who like to shower together are in for a treat) There's a pool on the second floor which was just cool enough to be refreshing in the hottest part of the day. Lots of bed-sized lounges and we had no trouble finding one. The hotel restaurant (Sweet Factory?) has a good selection of reasonably priced and well-prepared dishes; having them poolside only made it more pleasant. At the pool, noise from ocean blvd can be occasionally annoying as the same stream of rented Ferrari and Lamborghini drive past every 30 minutes with a different tourist realizing they have just paid $500 to drive a supercar at 3mph. The noise is unnoticeable inside the rooms though. Victor is getting five stars from me for under-promising (with the staid lobby) but over-delivering with the playfully unique and comfortable rooms. It's a quality hotel with responsive service and I would especially recommend it for leisure travelers, as they will get the most enjoyment from the fun quirkinesses to be found here.

Christina P.

Yelp
My mother and I just ate dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel. The waiter tried to trick my mother into giving an extra tip. He showed us a bill that did not show us that the tip was included even though it was. A common Miami Beach waiter trick. It's gross. We were going to go back for breakfast a few days later but now we won't. Didn't tell the manager because it didn't seem like he spoke good English and I didn't have the time to explain. I didn't trust the waiter from the beginning. I knew something was off!

Yelp
Five of us stayed here last week and it was amazing. Front desk staff was friendly and very welcoming every time we passed by, even offering us cold bottle waters (much needed in that heat). The room was perfect, good view with all the amenities and plenty of beach bikes available. We met Ali, the hotel manager and he was exceptional. He found out it was my bday and went above and beyond in making sure we were well taken care with a special complimentary bottle of champagne. He even personally walked us over to our dinner reservations at Giannis on our 3rd night and made sure we were given a better table with a pool/fountain view. He made our stay so pleasant and elevated our experience to one we will always remember.

Yelp
I stayed for three nights and they charges four, arguing, wothout any proof that i also reserved for an additional night. They promise and charged for a versache mansions brrakfast for two days and just gave me a ticket for a meal and versaches house was closed. Wifi awful as well. No one is reponsible for anything.

Yelp
I'm going to be very reasonable here , because i am not not picky at all... however honesty is also my jam too. I think hotel victor has so much potential, and they just haven't reached it yet. I'm not really sure what's going on in Miami or why this is. But I do see it going in the right direction. Three stars because the following: The fact I didn't plan to stay here (see that whole story below) but I was pleasantly surprised and the service actually delivered to my standards, and the room is pretty gorgeous for the value... BUT we did go into a room that wasn't properly cleaned... there was leftover hair on the shower wall... that's not a deal breaker for me I understand people slip up... but when we brought it too the managers attention she said she's have our room thoroughly cleaned.. we came back after the day and that same hair was still there... the manager can't really control people's cleaning but there should maybe be some training refreshers maybe? Overall though she was professional, the girls at the front were sweet departs some obviously language barriers , and the men were super attentive as well. All the staffed greeted us and tried to fulfill requests and provide assistance with things and I think that's commendable. This hotels pool area is super nice there beds around it plus the lounge chairs. however, you need to know and I am learning still that south beach may be the ratchet part of Miami... therefore the pool area on multiple night was getting pretty ratchet but that's due to clientele and not the hotel itself but you should beware what you're getting into because south beach is a party spot..also if you want a hotel with "ocean views" this may not be the spot for you. I didn't care about that personally. Another thing back to the potential thing I talked about earlier... they don't serve any type of breakfast, and I think this should be a thing... maybe it's due to covid maybe they don't i wasn't sure because I didn't ask but it seems like they are still working on things. The whole hotel is pretty renovated throughout though. The rooms are nice with humongous tubs and rainforest shower heads... BUT my gripe was there's only one shower door and I understand why and you will too if you see the layout. soo the bathroom won't really steam up too much unless you run that water and shut the beautiful Asian style sliding doors... I didn't take pics of the room. They really did a lot with the spaces they ha e though I and did like it! These hotels on ocean drive are super dated and so the modern feel was a nice touch not expecting it . so yeah just a few improvements and this place can really be it if you're trying to stay smack dab in the middle of ocean drive. Back to what I said early about I didn't plan to stay here. Originally, we booked at hotel breakwater...this is their sister site.. idk how many others are in relation.. so I'm glad we moved anyway but the service was really rocky at first upon check in... they moved us outta I'm not sure what/why but they were closed on Monday so they "complimentary upgraded us" it seemed a bit shady so I don't do well with that... it wasn't hotel victors fault but if their sister site is like this... what else can go on you know? My friends room had a leak... and it was blamed on an infinity bath flooding.... I thought those don't flood idk.. I think in general places out here have leaking problems that don't get addressed maybe because they don't get snow? I know In Colorado this doesn't fly. But I started thinking this because I seen plenty of places with leaks out here lol! Our room had leaking ceiling stains, although we didn't have leaks. Anyways bottom line I do recommend staying here if you wanna be close to the beach , and wanna be in the mix in this area. Thank you for reading all the way through!

Yelp
I fell in love with the photos of the king suite with its trendy black and white marble bathroom and oversized jacuzzi tub with panoramic ocean views. Due to a misunderstanding somehow I wasn't able to upgrade to this room before it sold out but upon arrival my King Deluxe with walk in shower and modest sized soaking tub that could still fit two people and balcony overlooking the ocean, ocean drive, and the pool did not fail to deliver. I was a little reluctant to book this hotel because I did purchase a rental and I read bad reviews about the valet service but idk if they hired a new team but it took no more than 15 minutes or less to get my car and I forgot the man's name but he remembered my car number every time he saw us and made sure we were taken care of on a weekend at that! PROS- prime location on ocean drive and it's attached to Sugar, very chill environment at the pool and no kids running around, everyone was minding their business...perfect for couples, Smells good throughout the hotel, lobby has computers. Early check-in upon availability! CONS- it could be a lot cleaner for a DISCOUNTED $250/night room. There were a lot of stains in cracks and crevices that you would expect out of a 2 star hotel. This hotel and Sugar isn't cheap by any means and if free breakfast can't be offered, there should be more than a 20% discount.

Yelp
Super disappointed we booked this room for a 2 night birthday weekend. Although the staff is friendly enough, zero effort to recognize the b-day girl. Barely got a verbal happy Birthday. We reserved a 2nd floor pool side room but had to move. Paper thin glass sliding doors separate the rooms from the pool. Also there are pre-pool rinse off showers right outside the sliding doors. Awkward to say the least. My advice, don't pay extra to stay in any pool front rooms below the 4th floor unless you don't mind hearing fellow guests every word of their pool side conversations. The manager was very accommodating to our displeasure and offered us a bottle of Prosecco after moving us to a room on the 7th floor. Unfortunately there was a Sour gross smell in the hallway getting off the elevator. The room hasn't got a balcony, but it's quite and has a beautiful ocean view! However, the room is filthy! Stains on the rug, popcorn under the bed night stand, stains on the lamp shades. Kinda icky, but considering COVID-19 and the MANDATORY face masks in the lobby, it's down right unacceptable. We left our room from 10:30am-3pm to go enjoy Miami but housekeeping never came despite the please clean room sign we left on our door. I called the front desk and requested they come after we showered... I said we'll be gone between 5pm-6:30pm and requested a few additional pillows, fresh towels, empty trash and restock of our coffee station and cups. When we returned, there were 3 extra pillows at the end of our bed, and that was it. Overflowing trash. Pile of used wet towels on the bathroom floor (right where we left them). Not a dry towel in site and dirty coffee cups and wine glasses still sitting on our desk. I will be speaking with the manager again and let everyone know how that goes. The $700 we spent for two nights, plus $100 to park just leaves me feeling ripped off. Oh and the room we moved to should have been $50/less per night. No offer to credit us for that either. This hotel could be amazing with some better management, better housekeeping and new sound deadening doors. The location is great and the pool is very nice.

Yelp
Came here for a Valentine's Day getaway weekend. Was expecting a luxury ocean view hotel room (since we paid over $700 a night) but when we entered into the hotel room we realized the hotel is not at all what it seems. "Ocean view" was a view of palm trees and the side of the hotel with a sliver of ocean. The "ocean view" pictures on the website are from the nicest corner room - not the ones you end up getting when you stay at the hotel. "Luxury hotel room" is not a luxury hotel room. The mattress is a cheap spring mattress, pillows were lumpy, room was small and run-down. Spoke to management and they did not address the issues - said they would pass along the feedback to the marketing team without trying to make our stay better. If you want a luxury hotel in Miami, this is not the one to book.

Yelp
Hotel Victor was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I mean I have stayed at high end hotels but this hotel pretty much topped them all thus far. They accommodated everything I could think of from bottled water, to bikes, to towels, quality beach chairs, you name it. Room service was very timely and I was greeted by the hotel manager. He asked if everything was okay with my room. He was very visible. I will make sure when I return to Miami I stay at the Victor. The customer service was top tier.

Yelp
The rooms are aesthetically pleasing and the bed and bedding are very comfortable. While the bathroom is again, aesthetically pleasing, the water pressure for the main shower head is a little too weak to completely rinse out shampoo, I couldn't imagine having to wash a day's worth of sand from the beach out. The shower head is one of the rain fall mounts but you do have the option to switch the water flow to the hand held option that... I can only imagine the things that poor thing has seen and places it's been. I was in room 308. I had a view of the pool, with a small window in the bathroom area that if you crank your neck hard enough you can see a little bit of the ocean. Being at the pool and looking up to my room I could see right in... Which means that there is no privacy screen from the outside to the inside... So your business is on full display if you choose not to pull the curtains. Some things you don't learn about the room until it's too late and you're Completely unpacked, in bed, sleeping.... I was initially awoken at the 7:00am hour to The sound of construction in a neighboring room... drills, hammers, walkie-talkies on full blast, you name it, I heard it. There was also an unidentifiable, constant wooshing noise seemingly in the room on the other side of my bed. But not a noise that is eventually absorbed and subconsciously turned into a white noise sound... it clearly did not belong. Now, there was quite the variety of complimentary offerings including: coffee in the rooms and lobby, chairs and beach towels, bicycles, bottled water, and first come first served cabanas at the pool. I didn't take advantage of all of these but liked knowing they were all options. I think it's important to remember that all of these buildings along Ocean Drive are aged and being kept up as best they can be. They're not major chains with the bells and whistles that come with a big name. I would stay here again, but would ask about neighboring room renovations to make my vacation sleep-in a little more plausible.

Yelp
DO NOT VALET - they will rummage through your car and steal from u! Beware of Jasson! He's considered a manager Valet stole from my car during the overnight hours and the hotel told me they have no responsibility for valet or what they do.. everyone basically ignored me and everything that I said and they just kept calling managers and once the manager Jasson (who handled the car) did arrive he was worse than anyone and told me no refunds for the valet that I paid for multiple days and threatened to call the police on me! I had to leave my Miami trip completely stressed out and angered in tears from being robbed and mistreated .. this place has zero class

Yelp
When we first arrived, the person that helps with luggage wasn't paying attention so we basically brought up the luggage past the stairs ourselves. We get to the door and he ran to the door because he saw we were struggling. If you stay here, bring your own towels. Or buy them. They limit your towels 6 per day. We normally only would have needed 4, but because of how the bathroom was set up, we needed towels for the floor around the shower because the shower only had 1 door, so the other half of the shower was water coming out of the shower. They took 2-4 hours to bring up a set of towels every single day. My boyfriend went downstairs to get some because they were taking too long to bring them up. And they said they'd be up. It ended up being 1 hour later that they brought us towels. The mirror in the bathroom was incredibly too high up. The sink hardly worked & wouldn't drain. The window in the bathroom was filthy and we could hardly see out of it & was no larger than 1 foot wide 3 feet tall, felt like a prison window. The doors in the bathroom were sliding ones, so the warmth in the bathroom didn't really exist. And was freezing cold every time we got out of the shower. They had two large mirrors attached to the closet which was nice, however the placement of them were inconvenient, considering we had to close them in order to get a walk way path. When we tried to get ready to go out at night, we noticed the lights were super dim, and you could hardly see anything with the 2 lights that they did have. The outlets through the entire room didn't work or were loose to the point of where I couldn't use them to blow dry my hair without the cord coming out. The entire set up of the room didn't make any sense. The TV was so close to the bed that we could hardly walk through without running into the TV. Mind you, me and my boyfriend are very skinny and very short. We are both built smaller than 13 year olds. The restaurant attached to the hotel, the food was awful. If you do stay here, check the room size and availability. They also don't have any microwave either. So don't plan on eating out and being able to save your food. We came here a few years ago & the experience was completely the opposite of this past experience. So like i said, just do your research & ask lots of questions about the size of the room etc. The only good part of the room was the bed, pillows & the comforter. Also, the pool was freezing cold the entire time, but that could have been because of how "cold" it was for Miami, compared to in the warmer months. Also the fridge was leaking from it being turned off or all the way down as well. Another reason we needed so many towels.

Yelp
Awful awful awful. Check your room when you get there!!! The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. But. The bad reviews are VERY true Valet was a joke, felt rushed, had cars honking at us, we had to unload in the middle of a busy intersection. Upon check in, they proceed to tell me there's addition "service charges" that need to be paid. (Which I had thought were paid upon booking but whatever) We get to the room, great view, cozy, comfy bed, robes, towels, balcony over looking the pool and beach. Everything seems great. Unpack, shower, put on robes.......... Put hands in pocket and boom trash and tissues in the pockets. Check the towels, boom dirty towels. Called front desk, got new towels, robes and fresh sheets because who knows if they were clean. Then notice creamy liquidy something dripping down the wall. Check the complimentary toiletries, boom used and opened.. THEN I go to use the iron, fill it up with water, spritz my $200 dress I bought in key west and the water bleached my dress!!! That's when I lost it. The front desk offered to dry clean my dress (after making me wait a day for the manager to speak to me) I was unable to get dry cleaning bc I had a flight to catch. Then they proceeded to tell me they'd wave a $20 service charge for the inconvenience. Which was a complete slap in the face. Management there is a joke.I should absolutely get a refund. I paid almost $500 for ONE NIGHT (and ONLY night!) to have a horrible time!! Finally got in touch with the gm, ALI DURAL, and have never been spoken to like that by any man let alone the general manager of a hotel. Told me to "take up the water issue with the city of Miami" as he chuckled about it. Told me I'm making all of these complaints up because it is "impossible" that his housekeepers could have possibly skipped cleaning a room. Said "woman like you are alway trying to get free stuff" I have never in my life felt more disgusting and disrespected like how this hotel and their management has made me feel. They refuse to give me a refund and was told "good luck trying to get anything from me" and then was hung up on. The lack of professionalism is unexceptable and that general manager, Ali DURAL, (who is clearly a sexist) should be fired.

Yelp
I had such a pleasant stay at Hotel Victor! It exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very clean and the bed felt like heaven. I also liked how the entire staff respected everyone's wishes regarding the COVID-19 situation. They had masks readily available for those who preferred it. I had the chance to enjoy the beautiful views by the balcony and the delightful drinks at the hotel pool bar. It's also close to a lot of the popular beach bars and right next to the Versace Mansion. In addition, the staff was very friendly and patient with us. They exemplified what guest experience is all about! Considering that Miami is basically party central, my friends and I lacked our guest manners at times and the staff never gave us any trouble. The hotel manager was also SUPER helpful. He gave us some really good advice on places to visit and weather considerations. He was always in the lobby making sure his guests were tended to. I accidentally fell asleep in the lobby while I waited for my Uber and they let me be! LOL I highly recommend Hotel Victor. We had a blast here! I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
A nice small hotel. I was please with the cleanliness but unfortunately there was very load ringing sounds throughout the hotel room I was in. Their maid services were excellent non the less it is worth the money for the price we paid. Just watch out for hidden fees

Yelp
Terrible experience. Staff is untrained, upper management doesn't care about the problems of the their customers. I sat in the lobby WAITING FOR AN HOUR while the manager breezed pass me and grabbed coffee. Wouldn't check me in due to lost passport, when I initially came Miami. The person at the front says I get a full refund, then when I have to come back the next day, manager tells me I will NOT receive a full refund then cannot inform me why her employees do not know the full policy while representing the company. I wanted to come back, but I'll save the money. I just read more reviews and apparently the staff steals credit card information???! WHAT A SCAM.

Yelp
We just had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. We checked in very late at night and when we called, Mikel knew our names. Kind of freaked my wife out in a good way but it was great way start to a great stay. He went over different amenities of the hotel and also told us some great places to eat. Everyone who helped us was really friendly and helpful. Ray at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful. Wonderful hotel, great pool, air conditioning in the room worked very well and it's a great location across the street from the beach. We will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This place is awesome! We stayed for one night for Valentine's Day and had never been here before. Upon arrival, despite being super busy, we were able to check in 2 hours early and also got the option to upgrade our room to the king suite. The room was beautiful!!! We overlooked the pool & ocean. The americano cafe restaurant inside the hotel is also incredible. Great and friendly staff - will definitely be back!

Yelp
Amazing beautiful hotel. Wonderful pool with cabanas and ocean view. We stayed for 2 night for Valentine day. Reservation made directly with hotel for special package: room, Prosecco wine, breakfast. Room was beautiful with full minibar, I set up rose petals on the bed and around to surprise my couple, bottle was already set up. We made sure to tip housekeeping in the end of stay for removing petals from the floor. Next day housekeeping surprised us with towel swans on the bed. After first night we were invited in Americano restaurant for breakfast. It was amazing. Next day we told to go to readhead sandwich. Food was fine but we were surprised of huge differences food quality breakfast for day one and two. I would recommend to offer only americano in this type of "couple" package. You can take beach chairs, towels and bikes for free. What I didn't is that ocean hotel guest can use a pool. Seems breakwater and ocean in one price range, I would recommend to let ocean guest use breakwater pool and keep victor more private.

Yelp
Honestly, this hotel has nothing to offer other than being located right on ocean drive in south beach, which I thought was the worst vacation spot I've ever been to. Our room cost us nearly $5,000.00 for the week and here are a list of things that I thought made this stay unenjoyable: We reserved a king suite, which was supposed to have a couch as well. Well, no couch at all and the hotel didn't do anything to fix it. The shower drain was constantly backed up and we'd be standing in ankle-deep water by the time we got out. We had to go and buy our own toilet paper because the maids didn't leave us any for 2 straight days and our calls to the front desk were ignored. This hotel was supposed to be recently remodeled, but we had moldy blinds in the bathroom, corridors had wall finishes peeling off and the toilet seat had pee stains all over it. The hotel sits right on top of multiple venues that crank music all into the middle of the night and all day, so there's never peace and quiet, even when sleeping. There were 4 street fights right outside our balcony throughout the week. It was honestly like staying in a frat house, only for 5 grand. I would never go back to this hotel and I don't see myself ever setting foot in the cesspool that is South Beach ever again.

Yelp
Customer service was amazing. Room was in a prime location walking distance to the beach, restaurants and bars. Hotel was very clean pool area was nice!

Yelp
Sanitation is definitely Not their priority! Lobby furniture is filled with filth and stains ! I'm only scared of the potential once I'm in the room! Never have I felt so unsafe of the bacteria that might be molded to the furniture... for the price you can stay in a 4-5 star hotel pictures online we're deceiving

Yelp
I tried to eat with a friend at this hotel restaurant and was told that we needed a reservation although there were at least 8-10 empty tables in plain sight. I even pointed this out to them. Other restaurants that were more full interestingly didn't have this policy. Honestly, it seemed like a tactic to not allow black patrons like myself and my friend to eat there especially after I saw the demographics of their patrons.

Yelp
This was perfect for us in every way. Being located on Ocean Drive, provides beautiful scenery, tons of restaurants and lots of entertainment. You are steps away from everything. Sure, it was loud on a Saturday evening as would be expected, but quite pleasant otherwise. Nothing was overly crowded. Hotel Victor has all the amenities to make for a fun on-site vacation from the pool and spa with steam room to Cafe Americano downstairs. We road the complimentary bicycles and took advantage of the beach towels and chairs. The Hotel itself is quite clean and the room was just the right size. Get one with the large tub and separate shower. Staff were pleasant and helpful on all occasions, and the elevator was super fast. Everyone is respectful with mask wearing. For awareness: coffee and hot water for tea are available beginning at 7 am in the hotel lobby. This is the only place we'll stay on South Beach.

Yelp
I'm not the type that have the money to afford this hotel but am a curious tourist wanna see the place where Versace used to live and perish. I would think this is a special and nice hotel but it just too sad a place for me - knowing the history.

Yelp
What's not to love!? The staff here is great. Gerdine (sp) at the front desk is AWESOME! Even the security guard's upbeat personality helped us enjoy our stay. The location is great imo, because you are right between to the quieter 14th St / Lincoln Rd side and the Clevelander/Fat Tuesday party side. If you want to go a little further grab a bike for free. They have more in the back if they are all taken. Housekeeping came everyday even on a very busy Memorial Day weekend Love the pool with a view of the strip and the ocean. There are so many places to people watch especially if you are fortunate enough to get a room with a balcony. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the cleanliness could be improved a bit. The rug under the bed is tattered and appears soiled and the window shades were black at the bottom. There were these little nats in our room here and there I believe coming from shower drain. None of that was a huge deal though. I will continue to come back to Hotel Victor every year!

Moon L.

Yelp
Gross hotel. Dirty bathroom with pink mildew stains and black mold in caulking. Tubs are big but stained and dirty. Poorly managed. If you read TA reviews, the GM keeps saying that they're going to use the feedback to improve... clearly, they haven't because they're still terrible. They don't answer the phone unless you call multiple times and beg for help. They make empty promises like early checkin or calling you when your room is ready. And the front desk people are either really ditzy or appear as though they just rolled out of bed without brushing their hair. The manager is rude and doesn't possess the ability to say, "I'm so sorry this happened." Instead she makes excuses for her and her staff's shortcomings. Giving something comp doesn't fix poor attitudes!!! Don't spend your time or money here. The noise from the crowd outside is the LEAST of your worries!
