Hotel Victoria

Enjoyed our stay here. Yes, it is a slightly old fashioned hotel, dated, but very clean, the rooms were big enough, good aircon, comfortable beds, good wifi and an OK breakfast, and at a reasonable price point to be so near to old town (10 mins) and on the main bus route from airport (3 mins), and also to train station (3 mins). Massive shout out to the chap on reception who was very welcoming and helped us a lot with what we should see in Cluj, let us check in early and also stored our baggage. Has the nicest staircase of any that I've seen, in Romania, or almost elsewhere for that matter. No kettle in rooms, did not try TV. I would stay again. Thank you for a great stay.

Perfect location, centre Cluj, stayed in this hotel twice, planning to stay there again, brilliant service especially the receptionist Daniel. All in all I would highly recommend.

The rooms are a bit worn, but the service, price, and location more than makes up for it. It's a beautiful hotel and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. I would 100% come here again. The WiFi is free and maybe varies between rooms but despite watching HD and sceeensharing I had no issues at all.

Well located if you want proximity to the city center. It has a nice victorian-age look, with marbled hallways, but that's about is as in terms of confort it fades in comparison to more recent hotels. The rooms are quite old-looking, beds not very comfortable and heating was not working one night even though the temperature outside was close to zero. Staff does a good job, is welcoming as everywhere in Romania. In brief the hotel is ok for the average traveller, though it could use a revamp.

Rooms were dated but comfortable and clean. Internet worked well and I had a fridge in the room. The service was impeccable - the front desk and restaurant people were very helpful and friendly. One man at the front desk spent time explaining where I should go and some of the famous landmarks. The location is safe and great - walkable to the university, old town square, opera house, many landmarks and museums.

Good hotel right in city center, buss station is close by 200m by walk. The staff are very kind all time. The breakfast was best of the best to enjoy România style breakfast. 😍 For sure dinner also is a good, I've not try it. Definitely will book here again in the summer. The room is equipped with a refrigerator. Great room view to the church.

I stayed here as part of a tour group and while I cannot fault the hotel for it's location, the rooms were very old fashioned. However it was comfortable and the lobby was very grand. I had no problems with the Wi-Fi and the breakfast was decent. ||||British guests take note, there is no kettle in this hotel, although this seemed to be standard for Romania. ||||I would have no issues staying here again.
