Hotel Victoria

My boyfriend and I stayed here in early September. Hotel Victoria is a very classy and wonderful Hotel! The welcome little tray in the room was a warm way to start our stay. The staff is very professional and always at service with the best attitude. El Jardín restaurante is absolutely delicious for dinner and wonderful breakfasts as well. Daniel, the owner, made sure we are well attended at all times and it was such a joy to hear his stories and advice about how to get around in the beautiful Cuenca. We were more than pleased and we will surely come back!!

Loved this hotel. Great location, excellent food, service is wonderful. Choose your room with care for they range from large to small. However, we lacked for nothing. We also had a lovely view from our window of the river! Love Cuenca! There was not a second I felt unsafe and the city is very clean and peaceful.

This hotel is beautiful, architecturally spectacular, beautiful decor and comfortable rooms. The staff are very attentive and treat you so well, you do not want to leave, and I can't wait to come back. The breakfast was fantastic each day and included with my room. The rates were spectacular since I avoided the Easter holiday week. I loved how they were continually improving the hotel to keep it clean and fresh. Way to go, Hotel Victoria!!!

Best hotel in the old city HANDS DOWN. Perfect location, high-end interior, and excellent food. The service is outstanding.

Our overall experience at Hotel Victoria was outstanding. The hotel is beautiful and well-located within the historic centre of Cuenca. All of the staff were so accommodating, but particularly for us as non-Spanish speaking guests. When we first arrived we were offered a complementary drink as we registered. The first afternoon a plate of snacks welcomed us when we arrived back at our room later in the day. A fantastic breakfast was included in our stay and the dining room is beautiful with views of Souther Cuenca. All of the staff were exceptional, but we particularly would like to acknowledge Estaban at the front desk and Robert in the dining room.

Everything was perfect, whenever I have the opportunity to enjoy a cozy atmosphere that hotel Victoria offers : |It’s Classy architecture and its view to the beautiful Tomebamba River . Surrounded by an incredible vegetation ( trees and beautiful flowers) and an excellent service . Its food is delicious . Plenty af parking space .|Again , thanks to staff that makes Hotel Victoria an exceptional place to stay . |

Avery charming hotel with charming common spaces and plesant and helpful staff. |Had a room with a terrace balcony and the views were beautiful. Room itself was a bit small but took on the openness of the terrace and had ambient light through during the day.|Toilets are a bit dated, and water pressure was a tad slow. Breakfast was nice and you can order some hot options as well. The hotel is very conveniently situated to visit the entire downtown and its attractions by food. The entire road and surrounds have a number of great dining options. I should mention that it gets very noisy over the weekends with loud music blaring almost until dawn. We were less affected as our room faced the back of the building. Noise did seep through and had a pretty restless night. Weekdays are fine though. |A nice option to stay in Cuenca. ||

We had a meal here - we had had a very disappointing experience at their sister hotel in Ingapirka - this restaurant did not disappoint. The staff were very attentive, the food was delicious and the portions suited me much better than some other places that we have eaten in Equador!. The empanadas were fresh and tasty, the beef was very tender and flavoursome ( as was the pork that my husband had) and the dessert completed the meal perfectly. The restaurant was nicely decorated with a good view over the river. All the staff worked well together and our glasses were always filled.
