Hotel Victoria Glion

A spectacular hotel with delicious food. Very spacious rooms which stunning view of the alps and the lake. Will definitely visit again. The staff was super hospitable and the owners were always around to keep an eye. Old world charm.

The hotel is a bit away from Montreux city center, but not a problem even if you don't have a car because it is easily reachable via the train or the funicular. As it is located high on a hill, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the lake, particularly when wandering in the nice garden of the hotel. Service is perfect, room are old-style but comfortable and very clean. Just be aware that there is no double bed, only two single ones close to each other. Only the choice of the breakfast buffet could be improved, otherwise everything was perfect.

Usually this is a good family driven hotel. It is now the third time we come. |However I really don’t like being told “to read what the terminal says!! :( by the receptionist as if I am not able to read. |The receptionist could not find my deposit of 688 CHF, when I asked if he found it he just ignored me. Finally when finding it there was nothing- not even a “I got it” Just a really sour and arrogant attitude the entire way. Even when ordering the rooms I was refused a confirmation. |Not sure I want to do this hotel again :(

First, I must say...The front desk staff that we met were VERY nice! I actually forgot something in our room but didn't notice until we were already in Bern. The front desk attendant is going waaaaay out of her way to return my item to me. I am very thankful.||I read all these other reviews and I'm hesitant to add additional thoughts because everyone seems to love it here. We did not. We stayed for just one night in April, instead of the two we booked. It is like a museum, there are so many antiques crowded in everywhere and since the place was deserted it felt creepy. There was not a guest to be seen during our stay, perhaps that is because we were here early in the season. But the the grounds are gorgeous and the breakfast was enormous....but no people to eat it and only one server that briefly appeared almost silently. The area around the hotel is full of businesses and even hotels that are boarded up, it was not the vibe for us.

Gorgeous grounds and views to enjoy a cocktail. A step back in time inside the hotel with the polite and attentive servers all dressed in white jackets.

A bit distant, but very comfortable place. Lots of beautiful art, fantastic views.

Comfortable, high-quality, historical, with extraordinary views, clean and quiet, delicious breakfast, and elegant service. We loved this authentic hotel. The hotel's location was unique. Everything was perfect. We can't wait to come again.
