This hotel is listed as a 4-star, but I do not believe it falls under the 4-star category. No AC in the rooms - they mentioned they could provide us with a fan if we were feeling hot. LOL!
The room did not have an iron or coffee machine unless you ask - even then, water bottles and coffee pods were not refreshed.
Plumbing issues (slow drainage, noisy sink) did not help either.
Service was poor: the front desk rarely greeted us, seemed glued to the phone, and couldn’t provide basic local info. When I asked about the Glion train and Roches de Naye Summit and their timetable, they had no clue - even though the hotel advertises ticketing assistance online. We ended up finding out ourselves that the summit was closed for construction.
The website also says there’s a common coffee/tea area in the lobby, but there was none.
The biggest issue is the smoking smell. The lobby smelled of smoke and felt dark and dingy. Breakfast was limited, especially for vegetarians/vegans.
Dinner was overpriced, bland, with very few vegetarian options.
The only saving grace here is the beautiful view of Lake Geneva and the mountains. We stayed in Lucerne and Interlaken at true 4–5 star hotels, and the difference was night and day. This property has potential, but right now it does not deliver on the 4-star promise.
