Hotel Victory Therme Erding

I stayed at the hotel for two nights midweek in January and enjoyed it. The rooms are finished to a very high standard and my room (a single) was quiet and comfortable despite an interconnecting door to the next room. The location is great if you’re visiting the Therme Erding spa but it’s a bit inconvenient for Munich itself (train takes 1 hour from nearby Altenerding station). Note there is no kettle in the room (not sure if reception could supply one) and no USB charging sockets. So bring your mains charger for electronic devices. It was also very expensive at €288 B&B per night for a single room - including Therme Erding admission (but €15 extra for the vital and sauna area). I didn’t use the restaurant as it looked expensive and closed quite early. Book in advance if you want a table and last orders are at 21:00. The adjacent Ruffs Burger is walk-in and is open until 21:30. A burger and chips with a drink will cost you about €25. But despite cost and location issues, Hotel Victory is perfect for a real treat and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended.

I had a very disappointing experience especially on their Christmas Eve day. We show up on the 24th and we were informed Therme Erding was closing at 2pm. I understand why this is done for the staff but I wish I had known about this before booking. The Christmas special program was super disappointing with very limited arts and crafts for the children and a violinist with a German rendition of the nutcracker. I will give credit and say the violinist was very talented and kind with the children. We were expecting Santa Claus to show up but he did not. We paid extra for the Christmas special but it did not feel special. However the dinner experience was very good and the wait staff were superb. I can’t believe we paid so much for the 24th and received nothing but a nice dinner and a violinist. The 25th when we got to experience the Therme Erding which was so crowded that it made me regret the decision of coming here. The breakfast here is decent but nothing out of this world. The burgers were expensive. They charged us extra for a baby crib to be put in the room. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that charges for this. I would not recommend this especially to international tourists during the holidays.

Our family of four had the best two days here in an Admirals Cabin room. It was a great start to our trip to beat jet lag! Breakfast each day was exceptional with eggs cooked to order. Reception were super friendly and helpful especially when I hurt myself. Access to the Therme for our full stay was brilliant. So much fun.

We had a pleasant stay and would like to share our feedback. Positive points: The staff was always kind, welcoming, and attentive. The hotel maintains excellent hygiene standards, and the breakfast selection was great — fresh, well organized, and enjoyable every morning. Points for improvement: We requested an extra birthday package, but the decoration was placed on our young children’s bed, which caused confusion, since it was actually my birthday. Two years ago the birthday package included cake and prosecco, but this time it was only provided after we asked, and it did not feel as special or personalized. It seems the team did not check who the celebration was for. Additionally, the room facing the club had a window that could not be opened, making the space feel very warm and stuffy. We also noticed that the Alexa devices are no longer available, and the TV felt outdated, with limited channels and occasional signal issues. We hope this helps the hotel improve, because we truly enjoy staying there and would love to return.

This is my seventh stay at the Hotel Victory in Erding... and each time becomes my home for three days after walking some of Europes Caminos and pilgrimage paths. Typically I stay in a Yacht Cabine room - sleek and impeccably clean, and with all the amenities I could ask for. And then access to the Therme's wellness and sauna areas is so easy for one of the finest aufguss experiences anywhere. To top it off, the hotel's Empire Restaurant is world-class in every way - and in my opinion worthy of a Michelin rating. It's superb.

I reserved a room with a balcony overlooking the wave pool. When I arrived, I was informed the description of the room on the website is incorrect and that my room does not have a balcony. The trip was for my son’s 15th birthday, and I wanted everything to be perfect. Unfortunately, the hotel was sold out and it was not possible to move us to the room I was expecting based on the description on the website. I spoke to the hotel manager who offered us two drink coupons as an apology. While I was disappointed by this resolution, I didn’t want to cause a scene and decided to just go with it and have a good time, despite this setback. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is free parking for hotel guests. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, with an omelette station and a wide selection of items to choose from. My son had an amazing time, especially considering the slides close late at night. Admission to the Therme the following day is also included for hotel guests. We had a wonderful time! We will definitely return.

We have stayed here a couple times. Sometimes going to the therme sometimes not. Breakfast is solid. Rooms are fun. And Pablo Ruiz at check in is absolutely the best! We are coming back next year. This is such a great place after a long plane flight to relax before a grueling touristic itinerary. And the Aufguss is tops! So many talented Aufgussmeisters. Gergö in the Russian Banya was probably the best!

The GOOD||We are spa people and have been to many spas over the years. This place is really something! It models itself on a giant ship, and the rooms have various nautical and also space themes. It’s kind of like the Disneyland of Spas. It’s very family focused but we stayed there as a couple and really enjoyed it.||One thing that’s VERY important with any hotel/spa is cleanliness, and this place is kept very clean. SO important!! Big bonus points for that. I never got an “eewww” feeling like I was about to get someone's cooties. ||||The rooms are really fun, but if you want peace and quiet, ask for a room that faces outward toward the green area. If you face the pool, you will be hearing people and music until 10 PM. Their doors are pretty solid though. When closed you don’t hear too much noise. ||||The spa can get crowded so getting there early is best. We decided to sleep in and found out only later the day that a certain amount of cabana chairs are reserved for guests. The front desk needs to make a point of telling guests that when they check in. We would’ve gone straight there with our stuff and not awkwardly carried it around for a couple hours.||||THE BAD... that turned out to be good.||So we had a full day at the spa and are pleasantly tired and looking forward to a simple buffet before we had to fly out early the next morning. ||Apparently there was some corporate event that night and the main buffet restaurant was closed. The only restaurant options were limited to very expensive and pool food. The staff were polite but rather indifferent about our predicament.||However, this story has a happy ending. We did have to pull the Karen card though and asked to speak to the manager. A very nice young man named Valentin, (think of a young Tom Hiddleston in “The Night Manager” type) actually listened to our complaint about the lack of buffet for paying guests and did something about it. ||He offered to order food from outside and have it delivered to our room. So basically “room service” which we were very happy with. He picked a good restaurant (La Vera Pasta) with reasonable prices and and delivered the food himself! The food turned out to be delicious! And hot! And arrived sooner than he initially said it would. We were quite happy with how it turned out. Easier than the buffet. Score Valentin! Otherwise this experience would have left a bad impression on our last night. ||Give Valentin a raise. He’s what every high end hotel needs, a problem solver!
