I can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel and everyone here. If I could give this hotel and the restaurant La Corte a 20/ 10 review I would. The property is beautifully decorated and exactly what you think a quaint family owned boutique hotel in the Prosecco hills should be. Filled with character and warmth, you feel as if you are staying at a friends villa instead of a hotel. ||The breakfast is delightful and lovely to have a relaxing morning. ||The restaurant La Corte exceeded my expectations. The chef menu was superb, the wine parings spot on. Chef came out to the table to give personal touch to courses and flavors were out of this world. ||Then there is the owners and staff. They are the heart and soul of this hotel and why you feel so amazing from the moment you check in. So incredibly warm, welcoming, and kind Giovanni, his son, his sisters, and the rest of his staff feel like family. We even jokingly started calling him “Dad” because he looks out for you from the second he knows you are coming until you leave. So rare to find people so genuine and caring. Can not wait to come back and share our experience with other! Gratzie! 🥂

We came here as part of a Trek biking tour and loved the hotel. It’s very charming, all family run since the 1990s, walkable to the restaurants in town and even a couple wineries. Giovani went out of his way to make us feel welcome, and the restaurant was out of this world. Try the lasagna! The staff was always very attentive. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel on lovely grounds and gardens in a small, picturesque and sleepy town. We dined twice in the bistro and the food and service was excellent. The hotel manager, Giovanni, went above and beyond every day.

We had the most amazing stay at the Villa! From the minute we checked in we felt very welcomed. Giovanni set us up with a beautiful lunch in the garden and gave us tips on where to hike with our dog. Dinner was phenomenal and they set a table up for us and our dog to have privacy and space. Everyone that works there is beyond kind and made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was delicious and all around this is a top notch, high class place to stay. Conveniently located in Prosecco hills with so much to explore all around. Would highly recommend staying here!

Stayed here last month for a night during our honeymoon - my only regret is not staying here for a few more nights! We were very close to a whole host of wineries producing Prosecco - many of which were recommended by our hotel which were just excellent. Our room was quite grand and was very quiet. I highly recommend getting dinner at the restaurant if staying here - it was truly a top-tier experience. We did a multi-course dinner with a wine pairing, and it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had! Breakfast was excellent the next day as well. Before parting, the girl at the front desk gifted us a bottle of Prosecco from a local winery which was very kind of them.

Awful wedding food-Beautiful venue Our family recently had our wedding here. The venue is classic, romantic and beautifully situated in the hills of Umbria. The sister-owners, Frederica and Charia were helpful and engaging and gave their full attention to the spouses and guests. It was wonderful to move into the abbazia for three days with only our guests. The breakfast included is lovely and so many options! Small issues like poor internet could not detract from the quaint and majestic setting. It was truly magical and we highly recommend this venue! On another note, I am posting this here because I think more future couples will be able to see it: DO NOT USE THE IN-HOUSE/ON-SITE CATERER. The caterer (Alloro Restaurant) is a separate business from the Abbazia itself but is on site. While everything else for the wedding was near perfect, the food at the wedding reception from this onsite caterer was absolutely awful. It was especially disappointing since we had visited the venue a year prior to do a full menu tasting with this caterer, which was quite excellent – but what we received on the wedding day was something else entirely. The quality and quantity of the food did not approach the tasting. Some of the courses were truly laughably small, cold, and overcooked. There was also no coffee, tea or espresso service offered, and the desserts were as though they had been purchased in supermarket packages. The poor quality food and slow service tried hard to ruin an otherwise beautiful wedding day. When I went looking for the caterer to talk with her during the service, she was nowhere to be found and was at another business arrangement. While the Alloro and Abbazia are separate businesses, it is reflective on the Abbazia to even engage someone as failing as this Caterer.

Too expensive for what it is. More of a B&B really. Watch out for the hidden costs as well. No water or coffee in the rooms. Very very average.

After 40 years of travel we have found perfection. It is the Hotel Villa Abbazia located in the historic town of Follina. Our stay began with a warm welcome from one of the owners of the Hotel, Giovanni of the family Zanon de Marchi. He led us to our stunningly beautiful suite. It was filled with antiques and beautiful fabrics. Three French doors opened onto balconies that overlooked a stream, gardens, and imposing mountains. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable.| The staff of this relais & chateaux hotel were charming and gracious, without exception. A lavish continental breakfast was included in the rate-cheese, ham caffe latte, fruit, cereal. It goes on and on.|| Dinner at the hotel at the La Corte was extraordinary. We had the VEG (vegetarian) menu coupled with the wonderful wines of the prosecco region where Follina is located. | We really wanted to enjoy the beautiful countryside in the area, and Giovanni showed us several long walks through the chestnut laden hills, far from busy roads and full of gorgeous vistas and hillside trattorias.| Giovanni also graciously drove us to the nearby Palladian Villa Maser with a stop at the best prosecco vinyard in the region. | At the end of our stay Giovanni's co-owner sister and the entire staff gave us a warm arriverderci. We will never forget the Hotel Villa Abbazia. | |
