The room was very clean and nice, and the private beach is very nice to have :) The restaurant is delicious and the staff is genuine. It is well situated (the hotel btw) and offer you a nice view to the lake Como!! You even can spend more time admiring the view with Kayak or boat (at your disposition )Don't worry about parking your car, someone takes care of that !!

I can't say enough good things about this delightful place. It is tremendously welcoming, both the staff and the physical space invite you to relax and have fun from the time you cross the threshold. Every component (breakfast, room lay out, the restaurant, the cafe/bar, the sun deck, the water activities) has been refined to the sweet spot where functionality and cosiness are maximised. Staff are very experienced, and just lovely people. We were a group of 16, and nothing was a drama, and the only hitch was leaving! It's wonderful that places like this are out there, and we felt very lucky to have happened upon this memorable place, and aspire to an early return visit

Villa Aurora is hands down the best location on Lake Como. Nestled right on the water’s edge in the charming village of Lezzeno (10 minutes from Bellagio) . It offers an authentic and peaceful escape from the busier tourist towns.||The on-site restaurant was excellent! Each morning began with a generous breakfast selection, included with the room, which we enjoyed before stepping out onto our small patio to take in the breathtaking view of Lake Como. Waking up to that view was simply unforgettable.||Keep in mind, this is a small boutique hotel with plenty of character. If you're staying in the main villa, you'll likely hear creaky floors and the sounds of staff preparing for the day as the inn comes to life. For us, this added to the charm and authenticity of the experience.||Highly recommend Villa Aurora for anyone looking for a serene and scenic stay on Lake Como, with warm hospitality and a true local feel.

Awesome hotel!! Great location between Bellagio and Como. Amazing views of the lake. Awesome staff, very helpful. They also have in house laundry available. Great breakfast. Lots of activities on the lake. Great place to stay. Highly recommended!

Google
Outstanding hotel with such a wonderful vibrant family feeling. The main restaurant looks awesome but our insight would be to prefer the terrace/bistro with a gin and tonic on the sun bathed terrace beforehand. Staff are awesome, food amazing and we wished our 2 days had been 5. We will return and recommend

Absolutely loved this place! Such a warm welcome! The room (and en-suite) werent the biggest but perfectly formed 🤣. Fab breakfast and had three dinners in the restaurant which were all superb. Only criticism, not enough charging points in the bedroom.

An incredible stay made all the better by the friendly and gracious staff who were so helpful. You can’t beat the scenery and location, the onsite restaurant (best lasagna bolognese you’ll ever have), or the proximity to the ferry for exploring other areas around Lake Como. Grab a balcony room, it’s a view you’ll never forget. And book a Lake Como Boat tour, they can pull right up to the pier at the restaurant across the street.

Prego! Hotel Villa Aurora in Lezzeno is a true gem on the shores of Lake Como—our stay was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made us feel right at home. The hotel’s family-run charm and attention to detail shine through in every aspect, from the immaculate rooms to the exceptional service at the restaurant. The staff were always helpful (English). No one asked for a tip (refreshing coming from the Americas) Rooms & Comfort Our accommodations were spotlessly clean, cozy, and exactly as pictured on the website. We stayed in the IL Molo Apartment, just a short stroll from the main hotel- Hotel Villa Aurora. The three-story layout was perfect for our group, would comfortably sleep six, and the fully stocked kitchen made it easy to settle in. Waking up to breathtaking lake views each morning was an absolute highlight. The rooms in the main hotel are equally inviting, with elegant furnishings and all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay. We kept our windows open at night and listened the song birds in the morning as we sipped on our espresso! We even checked out the property in Nesso (Old Mill) on a day hike. Location & Walkability The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring Lake Como. It’s a quick walk to both the ferry (7 minutes) and bus stops (1 minute), making it easy to visit nearby towns like Bellagio (35 minutes) and Como (50 minutes) without a car (don't rent one). The area is very walkable, and we felt safe at all hours—even when returning late at night on public transportation. While the picturesque lakeside paths and charming villages are best enjoyed on foot, travelers with mobility issues or strollers should be aware that some routes can be steep or uneven. Activities & Experiences There’s no shortage of things to do, both on and off the water. We enjoyed hiking, exploring historic castles, shopping in local boutiques, wine tasting, and even taking a cooking class. Water sports are a big draw here—kayaks, paddle boards, and even wake surfing are available right from the hotel’s private sun deck. We got lucky with the sunshine in late April. The hotel’s proximity to natural beaches and scenic trails makes it a perfect base for outdoor adventures. Dining & Local Cuisine Fine dining is the norm in this region, and the hotel’s lakeside restaurant is no exception. We savored delicious seafood, fresh pasta, and wood-fired pizza while soaking in panoramic views of the lake (go at sunset to the local restaurants). For those with dietary sensitivities, we were pleasantly surprised: despite having issues with bread and cheese back home, we had no problems enjoying these staples in Italy. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with options for all tastes, including gluten-free choices it was €10. There is a bar in the hotel where you can order food, snacks, drinks and visit with other guests and friendly staff. Safety & Peace of Mind We always felt completely safe, whether walking around after dark or taking the last bus home. The friendly local atmosphere and helpful staff did their best to make the trip unforgettable! Travel Tips A couple of tech tips made our trip even smoother: Google Maps was invaluable for navigating the area and planning public transit, especially with an eSIM for reliable connectivity. Use it to get on/off the bus. I used Airalo and got a unlimited data eSim. It worked from Amsterdam, Milano, to Zurich. Data speed was more than I needed. Using our phone’s camera and a translation button (download the Italian pack!) made reading menus and signs effortless. Final Thoughts Our stay at Hotel Villa Aurora was unforgettable. The combination of stunning scenery, exceptional hospitality, and endless activities makes it a perfect choice for anyone visiting Lake Como. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to friends, families, and couples alike. Five stars—don’t miss this lakeside paradise!

Yelp
This is a review of the restaurant. We loved this. We came for lunch and sat by the water, and while we were disappointed that they didn't have pizza for lunch, we ended up with some excellent pastas -- a basically perfect edition of linguine with clams, and a paccheri with fish sauce and pistachios that was just excellent. Their prosciutto with melon was also amazing, and we really liked the bruschetta as well. Our three-year-old also loved their penne with tomato sauce. Definitely would love to come back here (especially for dinner to try the pizza) on our next trip.

Yelp
We set out early from Careno for a morning in Lenno, and Lezzeno was the closest place where we could get a direct ferry. We were eager to find a breakfast spot, and Hotel Aurora was the closest option to where the bus dropped us off. The waterfront outdoor patio has a very charming atmosphere with nice decor and beautiful views. We received very friendly and quick service, and enjoyed a small breakfast of bread, butter, jam, omelette, cappuccino, and fresh juice. Simple but exactly what we needed to fuel our busy day! The interior bar area was just as nice, and while I can't personally speak to any of the accommodations I would highly recommend this location as a place to stay. It's a great midpoint between Como and Bellagio and has frequent public transportation.

Yelp
Hotel Aurora was absolutely the highlight of our two-week Italy trip, accommodations-wise! I'm a huge water junkie and they kept me very busy and happy with all the complimentary lake activities (paddleboarding, kayaking, water trampoline, small inflatable waterslide) and the paid-for fun (I went waterskiing twice for 3 Euro per minute -- average of $20 US per quick trip and so worth it to me for the amazing time with such a beautiful backdrop). My husband was super content to lounge in a chaise lounger for two days straight enjoying his book and the incredible Lake Como views while I played myself silly. Bike rentals are complimentary for guests, too, and you're welcome to stick around for the full day that you check out and even use showers in their boat house to tidy up after your lake day. It would take about 45 minutes to an hour to cycle into Bellagio if you fancied it (those curvy and slender Italian roads scare me so I drove in -- took less than 15 minutes and it was easy to find parking). I would so highly recommend staying at this peaceful oasis as opposed to finding accommodations in the much more crowded cities of Bellagio or Como (unless you're into to crowding). From the moment we arrived to the second we left, the customer service and warm welcome blew us away. This business has been in the same family since it opened in the '50s and much of the staff is part of this family and that pride in ownership is so absolutely evident. All the staff we encountered were incredibly welcoming, spoke perfect English, and clearly had hospitality running through their veins. We ate all our meals at the incredible restaurant on site and were delighted by every single bite. We'd highly recommend the whitefish pate starter (or splurge on the seafood starter that includes about 8 different small seafood nibbles including the pate), the perch risotto (as with most Italian restaurants, they require at least 2 people order the risotto at once due to the involved preparation -- my husband and I both loved it and the portions were very generous), and the trifecta of mini desserts (tiramisu, panna cotta, and something scrumptiously straberrylicious). We had a mountain view room but we got a peek at the lake-view ones -- WOW! We'll be sure to pay for the upgrade when -- not if -- we return A perfect visit!

Yelp
Excellent hotel. Pros: -Location. The hotel is almost half way between the two big towns on the lake (Como and Bellagio) and there's a bus stop and water taxi stop very close (less than 2 minutes walk) to the hotel. -Clean and quiet rooms. The bathrooms were recently renovated and the room is well appointed. -Free breakfast. The buffet has a lot more options than the usual free buffet. -The AC in the room is excellent. The room is always very pleasant, even when the hallways in the hotel are not. -Very friendly English speaking staff -The waterfront deck with activities (jet ski, water trampoline, boating, kayaking, etc) is wonderful. Plenty of lounge chairs and close proximity to a bar. -The restaurant is amazing. Worth every penny and a very memorable experience. We are there every day because the view is gorgeous, the food is excellent, the menu is diverse and vast, and the service is good. -Free parking (valet) -Good price Need to know: -The roads are tight if you're driving here. Perhaps a train to Como and the water taxi is the way to go. -No elevator. The staff will carry your bags but if you cannot manage stairs you'll have a hard time. -The beds are decent but not amazing. Also, if you get a twin room the beds will be pushed together like a king size bed. That's not ideal if you want space (don't want to essentially sleep with) your travel companion. -Children. I thought this would be a couples resort, but it's kid friendly. They don't bother us, but there are kids here and they can be loud.

Yelp
Very nice menu, great lakeshore alfresco dining. Attentive staff. Pizza's were good. Nice house wine. Good value. Worth driving to, not far from Bellagio.

Yelp
Poor service. Offered water to everyone but my husband and I. Once they brought the bottle water the didn't offer to pour however poured for everyone else.

Yelp
The food here was delicious (although it was hard to concentrate on the food when the views are what stole the show!) The pastas and pizzas were delicious, and the favorite for us was the "Fiocchi di pera alla fonduta di formaggio" (which they translated as "handmade ravioli with local cheese and pear").

Yelp
Exceptional, personable service. We loved our room; it was very clean & spacious with full length windows overlooking Lake Como. Best sleep we had during our whole trip through Central/North Italy; the bed was so comfortable. And we can't say enough about the owners (there everyday we were) & the staff. When you dine in the restaurant be sure to try the local dish "Pear Ravioli with Cheese Sauce," the Perch Ravioli & the Mixed Grill (the sausage is phenomenal)! Loved the Continental Breakfast too! The front desk was very informative & helpful, the food service staff very friendly & accommodating. There are Kayaks available for hotel guest use for free (although we didn't get the opportunity to try them out - we will on our trip back... there is so much to do & see on Lake Como). If you can, take the opportunity to rent a boat for your personal use. My husband & I really enjoyed touring around the lake together & we were sent off with a picnic lunch, which we enjoyed immensely while stopped in front of the Bellagio Gardens. Beautiful doesn't come close to describing this area of Italy & Lezzeno was the perfect location, not noisy & a couple minutes walk to the Ferry stop (best way to travel to different lake locations). We definitely recommend Hotel & Ristorante Aurora - we will be returning, in fact our stay has made us reconsider our next travel plans!
