This charming hotel was possibly my favorite hotel I’ve stayed in EVER! Because we were late in the season it was especially quiet and they upgraded our room selection to a corner with the most spectacular view from our patio where we lounged in the afternoon sun and light breezes. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on. The bathtub was gorgeously tiled and special experience to luxuriate in before dinner. Our dinner was romantic and tasty and they make a great cocktail. The staff was especially helpful getting us to and from the funicular with our luggage and informing us on the ferry schedule which was possibly going to shut down due to high winds but we made it back to mainland Italy. I especially loved that check out time was 11:30 am so no rushing in the morning! Thank you for a perfect stay in Capri!

This is such a lovely hotel. From the time we checked in until the time we checked out, the whole staff was so friendly, kind and helpful. The setting for the hotel is stunning with the views of the sea and all the beautiful gardens. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast served out by the pool was delicious and so peaceful. We hope to return again. One of our all time favorites!

In ALL categories, this hotel was amazing. We loved the size and location of this hotel. Just a short beautiful walk from the main square it sat nestled in the hill with spectacular views. The Staff was outstanding and helped us plan an amazing vow renewal. Truly was a phenomenal experience. Book here, you won’t regret it.

We booked Villa Brunella in Capri last minute, and it ended up being one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had last year—and we’ve traveled a lot worldwide. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. Our room was sparking clean, beautifully maintained with high quality amenities. We didn’t have a room with views, but that wasn’t much necessary since the Garden with views was just 5 steps away & we enjoyed it everyday. The hotel restaurant was outstanding—every meal was fresh, high-quality, and made even more special by the breathtaking views. The complimentary breakfast each morning was another treat, with fresh, delicious options that started each day perfectly. Villa Brunella in Capri truly exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it and would absolutely stay again!

I couldn’t recommend Villa Brunella enough. My husband and I came for a few days at the end of our Honeymoon. The property is gorgeous, the staff is very welcoming, and we had an all around amazing experience. Matteo, who works at the pool restaurant/bar, was the most friendly person that we interacted with during our 2 weeks in Italy. He was professional, helpful with recommendations, and gave us all around 5-star service. We will be back here in the future, we love villa Brunella!

This is our third stay at Bella Villa Brunella. This hotel is exceptional in terms of service and amenities, and the views are breathtaking. The staff treats us like we are family, and it is nice to be greeted by our familiar faces each time we return. Pepe and Francesco take great care of us at breakfast and at the pool, and we really enjoyed getting to know newcomer Matteo this year during the late afternoon and evening hours. He is truly a great addition to the team!|We love you Villa Brunella, and we will not say Arrivederci, but Al Presto!

The hotel is in the perfect location. Our room didnt have a view but it it had a door to the yard which was nice. The team was so helpful before and during the trip. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a spot thats central but also slightly tucked away.

Google
This little slice of heaven was one the best hotels I’ve stays I’ve had in years! The staff is next level, Francesco and Pepe were so lovely and made sure we had everything we needed! The view from every spot is absolutely breathtaking and it’s a short walk to the main square so it’s a quiet calm feel escaping the rush busy areas. I have already recommended this hotel to very discerning friends headed to Capri in a few months!

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing place, amazing view. What a beautiful and delicious dinner. The branzino for two was delicious. They brought it to us with a side of pomodoro pasta. The meat was also soft and delicious. Very juicy. The view is just jaw dropping. The service was great. Everything wonderful. Loved it.

Yelp
Words can not describe this hotel. My second visit and I would never stay anywhere else on Capri. Best view of any hotel-can not be compared. Family run-authentic-Quisisana, Capri Palace..this hotel is far superior because it is boutique and you get a true sense of being on Capri. And no obnoxious tourists that you find in those big hotels. I almost don't want my secret to be out. The staff is lovely-they treat you like family. It feels like you are staying in a private villa. The restaurant was by far our favorite meal and BY FAR the most romantic restaurant on the Island. And in response to the guy a few reviews below that hated the food and criticized the restaurant, he is absolutely WRONG, the food was exceptional. Service EXCEPTIONAL. Music exceptional: Stacy Kent, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan....come on! Completely candle lit with the best view ON THE ISLAND. This hotel and restaurant is A GEM. The elegance clearly lost on this guy.

Yelp
The breakfast is spectacular. The service was great. The view is phenomenal. The restaurant is two thumbs up. Would definitely comeback.

Yelp
Clean and comfortable hotel with great views of Capri. The room was big and well appointed. The bed was okay and the pillows were a little flat. The hotel offered turndown service which was great. Breakfast was great and serviced on the pool deck with a view of the area. The hotel staff was very helpful and took care of our bags with the porter so we just needed to meet the at the boat when we departed.

Yelp
On our first night in Capri we went to Villa Brunella for dinner. It was a short walk from where we stayed and this place has the best sunset views especially if you can get a table near the window. The wine was great, they recommended something that would go with the food we ordered and we were floored. We got the lemon risotto, which was absolutely divine and also the salted cod, with olives, capers and lots of lemon. This is my new favorite way to have fish, with olives capers and lemons. At the end we also had a lemon cake. We went a little lemon crazy but hey we were in Capri and they do have the best lemons. The service is great and the people very warm and friendly. Loved it.

Yelp
Everything was just ok and service lacked. As well as mosquitos ate me alive. Worst month to be in italy Sept and October 2016 , as mosquitos are out during harvest, feasting on humans and grapes. Food was good, not great! My $70 orata was overcooked and served with no sauce, just a lemon wedge, which would of been fine if fish was cooked to a juicy tenderness instead of dry and tasteless like cardboard. Marinated anchovies delish! Fennel gratin Good needed salt, whole meal needed salt. Service friendly but totally ignores you and too busy to care for you! With these prices for dinner service should be impeccable!!! Was NOT. Expensive drinks, wine, food= i don't mind, but don't overcook my fish! Service was lacking very bad. My dinner was almost $200 for what? The view! Thats worth a lot, don't order foods though!! this was more like 2 star dining with 5 star prices. View to die for! Service to ignore you! Food just OK. Chose your favorite.

Yelp
The view here is to die for and the vibe in this restaurant is very old school "Pretty Woman"-ish. It has a very classy feeling between the candlelight, waiters and music. The seafood was wonderfully fresh and there was a great wine selection. Be sure to make a reservation!

Yelp
Rude owner, smelly room. Horrible experience. Checked in garden room for 3 night stay. AC wasn't working at 9, six hours after checkin, so sent maid who didn't speak English who didn't know if we wanted hotter or colder. Had to call desk again. Brought fan which didn't make it better. Called again to say it's not solved. Insist they fix and finally get technician to change filter. 10 at night. In evening smelly, garbage smell coming from drain in patio. Was told by reception, he didn't smell anything, nothing he could do, nobody else complains. Totally insulting. Finally other reception guy pours bleach in and it helps. Wanted to move to another hotel next 2 nights but they wouldn't let me get refund I ask to move rooms. Unfortunately only one is next door. Next night same issue. Last night the sewer smell so bad, I complain again. Send maid to pour gallons of bleach, learn word for smelly is puzza, she does this twice then covers with mat. I have stayed from youth hostels to 5 star hotels and at $360 a night I expect a clean, cool, non smelly hotel room. Most issues could have been solved with a caring customer attitude "I don't smell anything" could have been "let me see what we can do" "Nobody else complains" could have been "I understand your problem let me see what I can do." "I can't do anything tonight" could have been "I'll have manager speak to you in morning". In addition was overcharged for room service, 20 euro instead of 10. When I check out they corrected it because I "complained" not admitting they were wrong. No room service menus in room. Probably too cheap to print. Overwhelming perfume smell from bedspread, had to put outside. WiFi didn't work, weird registration rather than password, had to take device to front desk and go up 2 elevators and stairs every time. Huge buffets at Positano and Venice. This serves only continental. Pinching pennies again. Plastic lounge chairs and table faced air conditioner unit. Upon checkout I politely and calmly asked for room reduction because of problems that made stay less than ideal. The old man owner stands up and screams at me "YOU STINK. NOBODY ELSE COMPLAINS." PROCEEDS TO TELL ME NOT TO KEEP SPEAKING WITH RECEPTION AS THEY HAVE OTHER THINGS TO DO AND MOTIONS WITH HAND TO WRAP IT UP!!! Their are many places to choose and one closer to town and other restaurants would be better. No one should have to deal with problems that an owner doesn't care about. if you like the view from restaurant come for a drink and that's it.

Yelp
We loved this place. Stumbled upon it our first night in Capri. Wonderful atmosphere, food and service. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Order the eggplant appetizer (with marmalade and cherry tomatoes). We also really enjoyed the tuna, lamb chops and "la principessa" (or the dark chocolate and almond cake) for dessert. We've had several great meals in Italy (especially fish of the day specials) and this stood out. Great views, We only wish we had had a reservation to have had a seat directly next to the window for the views.

Yelp
This was our first stay at Villa Brunella and it definitely won't be the last! The views were breathtakingly good, both from our very spacious room and from the pool deck. The restaurant is first rate and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Warren C.

Yelp
Cliffside seafood restaurant with a friendly staff and a very good wine list; we went for the local Falanghina. The Dorado was amazing as was the fresh made pasta in brown sauce. White anchovies a must. The host had no tables immediately available without a reservation but sat us in a comfy waiting spot with a complimentary and delicious Zonin Prosecco while we waited. Well worth the 30 minute wait.

Yelp
It was very nice staying at Villa Brunella on my birthday; it has one of the best locations in Capri; its personnel is outstanding well traineed, customer service oriented and always with a great disposition to help you. Room had and amazing room with a wide terrace, it was impeccable clean and neat; the quality of food was execellent at breakfast and or dinner; you cannot miss dinner on its famous restaurant with a table close to the window with one of the best sunset view.

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing. Breathtaking view, incredibly romantic atmosphere and very attentive staff. If you want a table by the window with the best view, make a reservation more than one day in advance. The next day, we were told it is ideal to go there for lunch, when you can see the view even better (before sunset). That sounds like a good idea. But we definitely still enjoyed the restaurant by night. The food is also excellent. The lemon risotto was the best I have ever had and we keep talking about it still. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening!

Yelp
Villa Brunella is the unique hotel on Capri, situated on the prettiest of Capri Town streets. It is small and family owned and managed with knowledgeable, welcoming staff. Beautifully appointed yet comfortable rooms cascade down the hilside toward the sea, facing Monte Monte Solaro and Marina Piccola. Views are astounding and on-site gardens include lemon and pommegrate trees, roses, lilies, gardenias and vibrant geraniums. Maids and wait staff accommodate any request. Villa Brunella boasts one of the best restaurants on the island, both in setting and offerings. Pool and room service are additional delights. There is also a small, outdoor gym. I describe the whole experience, and mine includes multiple stays during Season, as magical.

Yelp
Definitely take advantage of their baggage collection from Ferry. The map to find the place was pretty good but it is a fair walk from town center so you may think you have gone wrong but you probably have not - keep going. A long walk but worth it. Hotel is beautiful, location except for being a long walk is amazing. we had a junior suite which was nearly as lovely as we could hope. Nice bathroom but a little tired (only slightly) remainder of room and balcony with view was perfect. Service from beginning to end was excellent. Breakfast not huge in choice but ok for us. We did not have an evening meal in restaurant until last night of our stay otherwise would probably have been more. Food and wine was first class and not as expensive as I had guessed. Nice little pool with good pool service and bar. However, hotel lacked a bar area in the evening if you wanted a drink before walking out or on returning from a meal elsewhere. Overall highly recommended. If I was going back to Capri I would stay again

Yelp
My husband and I have stayed at the Villa Brunella and dined at their restaurant for the last 3 years. It is, hands down, the most wonderful hotel. The staff is kind, attentive and gracious and the hotel is beautifully appointed with attention to every detail. The restaurant is our favorite place on the island to eat and we begin and end our stay with them. The food is local and well-prepared and the setting is breathtaking. The Ravioli Caprese is exquisite. This is a place I hope we have the opportunity to visit again and again.

Yelp
While we did not stay at the Albergo, we dined at the restaurant THREE times while we were in Capri in October. It was wonderful. I don't think I have ever had such consistently DELICIOUS and varied meals. The first night, Spaghetti con Ricci di Mare (sea urchin) was sublime. My husband had perfect gamberoni alla griglia. The second time, I had grilled dorato straight from the sea. I picked it from several fish presented to me on a platter of ice. Every bite was delicious and I ate every morsel save the bones: my husband had perfect gamberoni!. And, the third time, lunch before we left the island, was in a way the most memorable. My husband had a simple and, again, perfect caprese, and I had risotto al limone. It was light and creamy and lemony, a taste so specific to the Campana region. Memorable in every way. As soon as I am lucky enough to return, Villa Brunella will be my first choice restaurant to visit. The hotel looks lovely, too.
