Hotel Villa del Ángel

Quite, clean and excellent location. Every time I come to San salvador I will be staying here.....

Hotel was not really to my liking and I would not stay here again. Upon arrival to lobby, there was no a/c. Front desk young lady was nice. We were placed in room #1. Room was disappointing. There were no windows and we felt trapped. Walls are very thin- you can hear everything in the halls. No shampoo or conditioner (bottles were empty). Toilet paper ran out the first night. Room was not properly stocked upon arrival. Which is disappointing because you wouldn’t expect to be asking for all these items on the first day. The second morning, the key got stuck in the lock. We brought it to the attention of the front staff who was struggling to fix the situation. We had to be somewhere at 9 am and instead of being given a new room, we were told that they would protect all of our things and the room would remain unlocked ( with a stick key) for the time being. We left hotel and came back and sure enough everything was protected. But this was still pretty inconvenient. Breakfast was ok.

I booked this hotel thinking it was closer to the Historic Center. When arrived I was disappointed to find out that the place looked like someone’s home in a more industrial area. I expressed my disappointment and told them that in the guide it said that it was walking distance to explore the city center which was obviously not. It was pouring outside and despite expressing my disappointment, I was going to spend at least one night since I was already there. Everything changed when this rude front desk female attendant called the manager to say that she couldn’t find my reservation and that I was complaining about the hotel being far and had said all sorts of things. She elevated my complain to make me look as a rude and undesirable guest to her manager when all I had said was that I was disappointed that the hotel location didn’t match the description on the book. The manager got on the phone with me and told me that if I didn’t like their hotel to go somewhere else. I felt so uncomfortable that I decided to book another place. A young male employee who was very pleasant during the whole situation was really nice and helped me find a place in the historic center which was very charming, clean, friendly and half their price.While the young man was helping me the rude front desk girl kept asking if I found a place yet as in an insinuation for me to leave. This was the worst hotel checking experience I have ever experienced considering I have been to 78 countries and over 1500 cities worldwide. Therefore, I recommend you to find a nicer place where you will feel welcomed and valued as a guest.

A budget hotel so know that going in. Worn and unclean in areas. Our room was clean but bathroom worn. Staff were so friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. Location about 4km from Historic Center. It served its purpose.

Not sure why this place is number 4th ranked hotel in San Salvador. The rooms are dirty with clear signs of water damage. Staff doesn’t know anything. The only good thing about the place is location. That’s it. For slightly more you can stay at Hilton or Marriott, infinitely better properties

This hotel was located in a great spot in San Salvador. We booked it so that we would be closer to the airport but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the location is central to a huge mall where we could spend some time and have access to food in a safe setting. |The hotel is beautiful and we were served breakfast in the morning. I found it to be one of the better hotels for its setting and decor. It had a homey feeling rather than a big hotel. The service from the staff was personal and very helpful. The rooms are decorated like a fancy home but the price was unbeatable. |There are a few seating areas in the hotel where you can spend time reading or relaxing. There is a very small gym for exercise as well.

We stayed at Villa del Angel Hotel 8 days and couldn't be happier with our experience. The location is superb, right behind a large shopping mall and close to several local places to eat. Very safe area with security all throughout.||||Our room was really clean throughout our stay. We asked for the romantic setup since we arrived on our anniversary. We had the breakfast everyday, which was delicious. They even made me a tortilla and brought hot sauce/chile with my meal since they knew that's how I preferred it.||||Carlos and Celina and everyone we worked with was extremely helpful. They gave us tips on places to eat, areas for nightlife, etc.||||The hotel arranged for our transportation from the airport and to our next destination in El Salvador: the beach! We also had laundry service while at Villa del Angel and had we needed a car, we could have rented it from the hotel as well.||||They offer so many services and all with a smile! Definitely staying here when I return to San Salvador!

We only stayed one night but I was very impressed with this hotel. Can’t beat the cost compared to the other high end hotels, especially because it comes with breakfast.|The room was pretty spacious and had everything one needs at a hotel. We were very impressed how much they take care of it. Their service was probably one of the top two of my one month staying in Guatemala and El Salvador.|The only issue is that they don’t have an elevator for people who might want one. Although you don’t need it because they bring all the luggage up and down. My wife also said that the ac was a little noisy so she shut it off at night. It didn’t bother me. The hotel is like half a block away from a huge mall and one block from a few good restaurants. They also provided us with transportation to the airport for a|Very decent fee. If you’re looking for a great deal, this is it.
