Wow. Not what we were expecting for $121 per night! The hotel is indeed 3 blocks from the beach, but a small, seaweed clogged beach, with murky water. The hotel advertises free parking, however what they don't disclose is there is a very limited number of spaces (about 10) and if you come in late at night and the spaces are full, you have to go to a 24 hour pay parking lot located behind the hotel, which charges $10. This hotel rents cars as well, which is a fine service for those who need it. We found it very frustrating that they doubled parked their rental cars behind the guests cars at all hours of the day and night. Every time we wanted to leave, we had to flag down an employee to move their vehicles. Once it took 20 mins to get out of the lot, almost causing us to miss an excursion reservation!! Another big issue was water temperature and pressure for the showers. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold, nothing inbetween.... SO UNPLEASANT!! The hotel bar/restaurant seemed to keep irregular hours. Every time I wanted a cocktail, they were closed. But luckly, there were plenty of other drinking establishments near by. While most of the staff were friendly, there is a very rude woman attending the desk at night. She seemed inconvenienced by any type of request. She should definitely not be working in the hospitality industry. On a fair note, our room was modest, clean, had ice cold AC and comfortable beds. We were 50 mins from the Ferry in Fajardo, 15 from Old San Juan, 1 hour 15 from zip lines, so overall a convenient location. Keep in mind, hotel is about 5-7 mins from the airport, so the flight noise is a consistent 24 hours a day. Oh, it's also important to know (for those of us who have to work on vaca), the wifi only works on the 1st floor.
