Hotel Villa Elia

A hotel with the best location in the city of veria comes with a lot of noise from the bars during busy seasons like Christmas. One really old man around 70 was very rude with us at the reception, which made my overall experience quite negative. We did make a mistake with our booking which led to us booking a one bedroom apartment. The hotel was fully booked, but he still needed to charge us for a bigger room as he claimed that it was not possible to give us the one bedroom for two people. The room we were given had cracked shower glass, which is quite dangerous. The breakfast we did not even try once as we didn't want it but they were still insisting that they offer all their rooms with breakfast so we have to pay a certain price initially for the room as a whole. The elevator was stopping sometimes. There was no plug next to the beds. Everytime in the shower all the water was spilled out of the shower and even one towel was not enough to dry the floor. The shower head was not even fitting at the top for a comfortable shower so you had to hold it. The wardrobe door was hanging. But on the positives the room was always warm and had always hot water. The rest of the people working at the reception were OK. Two of them were very kind and helpful but unfortunately didnt ask for their names. They were kind enough to provide us with parking even though it was not included in the booking. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT PARKING IS FIRST COMES FIRST SERVED AND NOT ALWAYS AVAILABLE. Overall I would maybe stay again at this hotel due to its great location but not for the rooms or the warm welcome at the property.

Very nice hotel, big rooms. The hotel has very cozy atmosphere, retro style 👌 The parking of the hotel is not big, but enough for the guests. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was like in aristocratic house. The hotel is in the city center and there are many places - restaurants, bars, shops.

Please don't be fooled by the high scores of this hotel. Overall it was a terrible stay. First, we were placed on the 4th floor and the rooms were very hot on this floor. The AC was very old and was not able to cool down the room. We asked for another room on another floor but we were informed that there was no availability. Second, the staff was not helpful at all. Only the girl that was serving the breakfast was smiling. The men at the check in and check out were not welcoming. Third, the room was very poorly equipped. The curtains were falling off of their places! There was no way to successfully close the curtains. The toilet flush is leaking so the water never stops filling the toilet. There is a constant noise from the bathroom. The shower cabin is missing it's lids because the lids were removed from their places where they were supposed to be. You have to unavoidably wet the whole bathroom while taking a shower. It is impossible not to. The toilet bowl has very dark marks and looks very gross. The water was pooling in the sink. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Two of the four mattresses felt like they were broken as there was a significant downward collapse around where a human's torso is supposed to be. Also mattresses had a lot of stains on them. There were very few plugs in the room and no plugs near the beds. My dad uses a CPAP machine and there was no bedside near the beds in the second room. We had to place that on the floor. In sum, nothing was really convenient in the room. There were no nets on the windows so it was not possible to open the windows.

The hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly and eager to help with anything. The breakfast is a big spread with lots of yummy food. The location is great, right near everything you need. It is a great place to stay for a short or long time.

Crappy hotel. Disinterested staff. Smelly rooms that had been smoked in. They even had an ashtray. Sheets with holes. Shower didn’t get warm. Lots of street noise. Saw a cockroach. Very basic breakfast.

The hotel is in the heart of Veria which is ideal for moving around in the town. The room service is fantastic. Very clean rooms and clean linen everyday. Also a nice breakfast for Greek standards. All in all it is a good hotel. Little disappointed with the bathroom as most of the water went all over the place but apart from that it is ideal.

Not five star, but clean, could do with some updating. Breakfast very basic and don't bother to order cappuccino worst coffee I had in Greece.

Villa Elia is a largely no frills hotel in an excellent location with a good breakfast, free but spotty wifi, parking, and quite nice rooms. The hotel has an elevator for those in need of that.||||We stayed there for four nights and were quite pleased with the stay. We would not hesitate to stay there again as a cheap and comfortable option in a very good location with excellent bars and restaurants quite literally around the corner.
