Hotel Villa Favorita

We had an incredible stay here for the last leg of Spain honeymoon trip! The views, location, and decor of the hotel were excellent. They even had a nice surprise for when we arrived. Service was overall good as well. Alba was a wonderful concierge and was really helpful with making recommendations and securing reservations. Strong recommendation for anyone visiting San Sebastián.

Our stay at Villa Favorita was unforgettable! The room and outdoor terrace had spectacular views across the beach in all directions, and up into the mountains on both sides. The room was superbly appointed with everything we could need. The staff were outstanding!! The cleaning staff made the room perfect every day. David at Concierge was so friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. Valentina in the bar area was delightful and nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff made it feel like home away from home. We miss you and we will visit again!

This little hotel punches above its weight. Rooms are compact, but the thoughtful layout makes it work. Views and location are the absolute best (be sure to book a sea view room). Little touches not universal to 4 star hotels make it feel luxe: turn down service, beach towels and chairs to take down to La Concha, nightlights in the rooms, plenty of toiletries and vanity kits,etc. The excellent friendly staff makes Villa Favorita stand out. Every single staff member was helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable. Special thanks to David at the front desk and Lukas at the bar. Absolutely fantastic stay!

We had the most wonderful stay when we came to San Sebastian for my birthday with my fiancée. The hotel staff was incredibly kind and gracious; they were genuinely positive, nice and thoughtful. Service was fast, location was perfect, hotel was in prime condition and our water facing room’s view was simply impeccable. Would highly recommend this hotel especially for couples.

This is a wonderful hotel that could be perfect. Front desk service was friendly and efficient throughout. The view from our room was spectacular. The bar stopped serving cocktails after 9pm which was disappointing. Breakfast had a very limited choice. I expected much better. It was pretty noisy all night with people partying on the beach and walking past, so we had to shut the door and couldn’t hear the waves. The lift is beautifully painted and we enjoyed that a lot. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel and San Sebastián as an amazing weekend destination.

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way with service, quality, and convenience. From the moment I arrived I was welcomed by Sabine, who made me feel right at home while showing me around. Her kindness set the tone for the rest of my stay, and every member of the team went out of their way to make my trip unforgettable. The breakfast bar and restaurant area were especially relaxing with a beautiful view of the beach that made every morning feel special. I left with such a wonderful impression and can’t wait to return the next time I’m in San Sebastián.

Pros- Really nice hotel, great staff, perfect location. Cons- Do not book a city view room. The street noise is terrible and we were on a higher floor. We requested to change our room but apparently nothing was available even though the hotel looked quite empty. Breakfast was mediocre, the selection of vegetables and fruit was non existent compared to most hotels that offer a buffet breakfast. The only great thing about it was the omelet and the cappuccino.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms and the hotel in general are well appointed. Staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Perfect location, right on the beach and a quick walk to downtown, Old Town, and Gros.

Came by as I was walking towards the beach. Had a glass of moscato along with the lobster empanada which was so delicious, it was hot and flavourful. Perfect for a hot summer day. Over looking the beach, this was a perfect snack! Definitely recommend :)

Best hotel in San Sebastián. Attention to detail, great location, food and drink delicious. The scramble eggs were so good. Had the terrace room and did not need to leave much. The technology is new and again too service. Definitely staying here again.

We live in USA and learned about San Sebastián's attractions trough online travel sites. We then looked for places to stay and found Hotel Villa Favorita. This spectacular Michelin rated boutique hotel sits right on a magnificent bay. Walking distance to all restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. It won't get any better than this. Despite unexpected cold and rain, we had a great time and would love to come back!
