Hotel Villa Florencia Centro Historico

Was excited to come stay in this hotel as it is a lot closer to the centro histórico than the place I was at before. I was able to secure a room for the price of 25$ a night. Keep in mind, this is the most basic room. A room with a tv that I could not turn on, one bed, no AC, just a ceiling fan that made the room hotter whenever I turned it on. The showers here also do not have hot water so keep that in mind. Other than that, the location and service were great. I liked the fact that it was only about a fifteen minute walk from the city center with a lot of people selling wares close by. Do be weary about walking around in this area at night though. Best to take an uber. The man at the front desk, Alex, was a great help. He was able to give me directions on how to get to Suchitoto and provided me with a lot of useful information as well as recommendations on what to see while I was in the country. His kindness and hospitality was greatly appreciated. Give him a raise!

I wanted to stay near the historic center of the city and this hotel was within a 10 minute walk. Our room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. There was no safe in the room but we left our passports and extra money in the room without any issue, just put no room service required. If you want coffee or breakfast in the morning there are two inexpensive convenient restaurants next to the hotel.

There was no hot water for shower. Asked at reception about it and the on duty fellow look at me like I’m a Martian asking for hot water !!Adjoining building is a funeral parlour and the decor of the hotel is wuite old and therefore it’s quite macabre !Will I stay again nope not even if it’s complimentary thank you very much!

Place is really cute, close to historic center. Staff were very kind. I enjoyed the plants a lot 🪴

The walk into the past deco hotel with a superb location. Walking distance to the Plaza Libertad and the cathedral. Take Calle 2 Pte. Ruben Dario- gentrified pedestrian walkway.

I love the Classy interior, Clean room. This hotel gives you the feeling of home away from home.

Great value. Beautiful atmosphere. I don't want to leave San Salvador because I would happily live in this hotel. I was pleased with the cleanliness. I paid $35 for a room with an air conditioner which was helpful mid day, but barely turned it on at night in November.
