The hotel is beautiful, room was clean, location was good and the room we stayed in was spacious for 3 people but other things left us with doubts about ever returning. The hotel does not have a restaurant inside but there are several in the same building. They have a "Happy hour" with very limited snacks (popcorn, cheese, crackers, nuts and some fruits) and beverages (red wine and a 3 juice mixtures with a bit of alcohol). We are not drinkers but I noticed that none of the snacks were ever refilled. But I guess that the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the staff. Maybe because we were casual in our attire or maybe it seemed like we did not belong, but it seemed like every time we walked through those large sliding doors, one of the staff members rushed over to see if we belonged there. Once, after a long day of sightseeing, I had to use the lobby bathroom and one of their staff ran over to our group stating that this was not a public place and was about to tell us to leave when we showed her our room key. This was insulting because at the remoted controlled glass door to the elevators, a man stood in front of us who was, in my opinion, more casully dressed and looking a bit under the weather, if you know what I mean, but she did not question his presence. It could be that the hotel has had problems with non-guests on their property but this is a large commercial building that they occupy with numerous businesses, commercial office spaces and connecting hallways on multiple floors with public transportation, trains and subways. And maybe security is foremost in the minds. I guess that I can forgive this incident once, but similar incidents, maybe not so aggressive encounters, happened every day that we stayed with them. And this, in my opinion, is not acceptable for the cost if staying at this hotel.
