Location is oceanfront and convenient. Restaurant options are just a short walk from the property and easy walk into the heart of Portoferraio. If you are coming by ferry from the mainland it is just a quick drive to the property. Our room was a small suite with a separate sitting area. We had a balcony in each room overlooking the ocean. Each balcony had a clothesline which was perfect since we needed to wash out some of our travel clothes. There is parking available at the property. Breakfast buffet offered pastries and cereals but you could order eggs and bacon if you wanted that. They did offer a dinner menu but we never ate there so I cannot comment on the quality. They have a lovely outdoor garden seating area. They had a bar in the lobby area. Room decor needs a facelift but they are clean and large.

This is a VERY special hotel. The staff seems to have been here since the 1980:s, all of them, and they are not very warm and welcoming. Time has stod still here, and there is absolutely a charm about that. ||The only staff that was warm and friendly were the cleaning ladies. The breakfast was a joke, one of the worst I have experienced. Some guest got to get a omelette but nobody offered you - I got one just because I heard an italian order one. ||I have read a lot of reviews and the positive thing I can say is: the rooms are fresh and they are not very small. The location is good, 10 minutes walk to the harbor.

From the communication booking early in January to our arrival in May every thing went well.|Great location, chose a room with sea view and balcony, excellent position giving the best views.|Breakfast offering a bit basic, but sufficient.|Staff really pleasant and helpful. |Parking is simple, it has its own area opposite the Hotel.|The old town a ten minute walk away.|Definitely recommend this Hotel, we will visit again.|Thanks for a super stay.

The beaming heart of hospitality. We were stranded in the neighborhood and they were the only hotel with compassion for us to give us a late night booking, with the possibility to extend. Excellent rooms, with a terrace view over the sea, quiet room with air-conditioning ( perfect for in the summer), and clean rooms with shower and bath tub!!! People at the reception are bilingual and show what hospitality and kindness stand for.

This hotel is in an excellent location. It is within walking distance of the historic centre and marina area of Portoferraio. It has its own private beach opposite the hotel, which was well maintained. The view from our room, out over the crystal clear water, was magnificent. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet and the dinners were exceptionally good. If you have a car, the hotel has provision for under cover parking there are plenty of interesting places to explore on the island. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return to this hotel if we are travelling in the area again. John and Susan, Australia

Very nice location, within walking distance from Portoferraio town center and 5 of the most re-known beaches of Isola d’Elba. Personnel is welcoming and available. Rooms are clean, but a bit tiny. The interiors would need to be refreshed.

This hotel is one of the few which are opened all the year. The hotel is in a good position, walking distance to town and very close to Portoferraio ferry terminal. It has private parking.||But that's all. The lobby is like beeing back to the 80s, our room on backside (they call it with garden view) was small and with old furniture, noisy and dark, bathroom extremely small and you hear a water splash noise from neighbour room. Rooms on the front of the hotel have beatiful view on the sea.||The staff is unfriendly, reception personelle not welcoming, not giving information about the city and without city map. The staff at breakfast talking to each other and not bothering, breakfast selection was very poor, macnine for juice out of order.

I was surprised on my trip to Florence and got taken to Isola d’Elba. Although I have been to this island in the past on my third or fourth visit this time I’d stayed in Portoferraio. ||My friend had booked this hotel and it was good hotel. It wasn’t too far away from the port. There was parking available for our car, almost amenities was in walking distance and the main aspect was the beach which was also in walking distance.||Our room was very spacious, nice size bed 😉 and bathroom. I enjoyed my showers as sometimes being on a small island the water isn’t always powerful enough and the extra toiletries came in handy too. We even had a little terrace.||The front of house staff were accommodating and gave us advice on were to have dinner on our first night and the cleaners were already on the case every morning.||Breakfast was included but being 30 something who gets up before 10.30am when on holiday?||As our trip was only for three days we|didn’t get to explore the hotel in great depths, but it was big.||If I go back to Elba, which I’m sure I will I would stay here again.|
