Hotel Villa Romántica

Visited as part of a G adventures trip. Although our room was clean, this hotel is very dated and needs updating. No glass in bathroom window, just a net (that had holes in), slats missing from front window, mouldy shower curtain and poor air conditioning. Pool area small and grubby - broken tiles in pool. Breakfast expensive with no coffee included and no refills and cash only for payments. Would not recommend

This is an exquisitely designed place. The gardens are magnificent. The pool is gorgeous at night. It is truly and deeply romantic. Romantic in the sense of caring deeply and passionately. The owners know how to hold a space for beautiful connected experience of the majesty of this part of the world.

Rustic accommodation. Small rooms. Wooden closet doors warped and unable to close properly. AC worked well in bedroom but bathroom had little airflow and stayed damp. Beds comfortable. Room safe did not work. Small pool with loungers was nice in the heat. Good breakfast available for order at the hotel. 15 minute walk to the waterfront and marina area. Local bus stop on road by hotel.

Stayed here for two nights and it was absolutely lovely! The grounds are beautifully landscaped, full of greenery and wildlife and there is a beautiful refreshing swimming pool as well. There were lots of comfy sunloungers around the pool, including a rocking double sunbed type lounger. The jacuzzi was not working while we were there sadly, it only had very weak bubbles from the jets but nonetheless, it was nice. There was a fridge nearby the pool where you could help yourself to soft drinks or beer, you just marked down on a board what you had taken and then paid at check-out. The rooms were perfectly comfortable and the aircon was nicely welcomed. The hotel also did a lovely breakfast. Great location, it was an easy walk to bars and restaurants and only a short bus/uber away from Manuel Antonio National Park - which was also absolutely stunning.

We lucked out and found this beautiful hotel right smack in the heart of Quepos . Super reasonable , awesome breakfast, wonderful pool and courtyard area .. Christian was our hero after our long drive. Thank you!!

The hotel is like an oasis in an otherwise standard neighbourhood. The grounds are surrounded by a beautiful garden. Our room was simply but tastefully furnished. More than acceptable for a mid-range hotel. There was air conditioning and a fan which after our awful experience in San Jose was very appreciated. The staff were lovely and friendly. There was vegan porridge made with almond milk which we thoroughly enjoyed. Although there were no tea or coffee making facilities, they were happy to give hot water and we could purchase beverages and snacks. They had hair dryers that I could borrow. Good location in relation to beach, park and restaurants, shops, pharmacy, bakery.

Please don't believe the good reviews on this hotel. The area this hotel is located in is very sketchy. Even though just a block or two away from the downtown area of Quepos I would never feel safe walking around there after dark. Our room was not at all secure. The door to our room was defective. When we checked in we were even told they had a hard time getting the door to lock. It would not take a lot of effort at all to push in the door to gain entry. The room itself smelled of cigarette smoke that they attempted to cover up with an abundance of air freshener. The only amenities in the room where a safe and air conditioning, although the bathroom was not air conditioned. A one star rating is very generous for this hotel.
