Hôtel Villa Rose

Very well located for a city hotel - close enough to the centre to walk everywhere, or catch the frequent trams: but we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was at night. Very little "city" noise reached us. Trams, buses and trains are all very easily accessed (but beware of last train time at night). We very much enjoyed our stay, and we found the hosts to be very helpful and communicative (despite my very weak French skills!) Garden is a bonus.

Lovely villa on the edge of Nice. A short tram ride or walk of around 1.3 miles into town. Despite being in a city centre, the hotel was nicely quiet at night. The room was spacious albeit bathroom v small but we had everything we needed and the bed was really comfy. The hosts were warm and welcoming, allowing us access to the bedroom when we arrived early and then looked after our bags on our last day. The front garden is as charming as the photos, a lovely oasis from the hustle and bustle of Nice plus we got to taste the gorgeous oranges direct from the tree.

Perfect balance between charm, location and cost. This is the place to be when you don't have a filmstar budget but you want a great hotel. Great location, close to train and tram, easy walk to town. Breakfasts are in the beautiful and peaceful garden and yet you are in the city. And best of all, the hosts are fantastic and very helpful.

What made our stay here was the service from Son. He couldn't do enough to help us. We were able to leave our bags in the morning so we could go and explore the city. The next day we were able to store our bags again as we had a very late flight. The rooms are three star but that said had everything we needed including hair dryer. Location is close ( 5 min walk ) to tram stop.

This hotel is absolutely a delightful surprise! It is better described as a bed and breakfast than as a hotel. We only counted 8 rooms. The hosts, which we presume are the owners, could not be nicer or friendlier. There is a lovely little garden just outside the front door. Nice is a small enough City that while the hotel is not right in the center, it is easy enough to get to everything. If you're looking for a big chain with a fitness room and massive lobby, you're in the wrong place, but if a sweet, quaint escape is more your speed, this is perfect. We Love this place! It could not be more perfect!

We loved our stay at the Hotel Villa Rose. It is outside the busy rush of central Nice, but still so easy to get into the centre on the tram, which is a 5-minute walk away. We were surprised with a free upgrade to our room, and our every whim was catered to. ||Breakfast - local Viennoisserie and breads, was delicious, and the bed was very comfy, as were the towels. ||Son was an amazing and hard-working host, and gave us the best recommendations of where to visit and where to eat. ||If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable and cosy place to stay, which isn’t in the middle of the tourist melee, we would highly recommend Hotel Villa Rose!

My wife and I had the most marvellous holiday with Hôtel Villa Rose, and especially thanks to Son, who did everything in his power to ensure our stay was fruitful, comfortable, and easy as possible! The hotel met every need we had for a 4-day leg of our Nice stay. The rooms are charming, perfect to lay your head and to rest and refresh, while the outside garden is tastefully decorated making the best out of the living space. Our large room had air conditioning, television with generous selection, ensuite, and wonderfully sized bed for two. It is a block away from the main tram line along the main street and Old Town Nice, and a Carrefour at the same junction, less than 5 minutes away. Son gave us a thoughtful and detailed description of the things to do, near and far from the hotel, and some of his suggestions were the highlight of our trip! The breakfast was delicious, we enjoyed the continental selection with added extras provided. We can thoroughly recommend Hôtel Villa Rose for couples or small groups wanting an affordable but charming stay, to use as a base when going into or around Nice, and further afield if you have a car.
