Hotel Villa Seeschau - Adults only (Meersburg, Baden-Wurttemberg) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"This villa is brimming with style and charm! The attention to detail and dedication of the hostess can be seen in the tasteful, very personal and individual decoration (e. g. the Grande Suite is wonderful), the lovely breakfast and attentive service! In addition, there is the great view of Lake Constance and the Old Town – just a 5min walk away." - Tablet Hotels

This German hotel is a wonderful choice for a relaxing getaway. The staff are warm and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Breakfast is a highlight — not only is the food fresh and satisfying, but it’s served with a lovely view that sets the perfect tone for the day. The interior design is beautiful, combining comfort with a stylish touch, and everything feels well cared for. Prices are moderate, offering very good value for the quality of service and amenities provided. Its location, close to Switzerland, makes it an ideal spot for a summer weekend escape — easy to reach, yet far enough to feel like a refreshing change of scenery. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a mix of charm, convenience, and relaxation.

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exquisite boutique hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The attention to detail in the design of the hotel was truly exceptional, creating a cozy and luxurious atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The room was beautifully appointed with modern amenities and elegant decor, providing a peaceful retreat. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's morning breakfast was delicious, made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the staff went above and beyond to cater to my dietary preferences. Overall, my experience at this boutique hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to provide guests with a truly luxurious and memorable stay. I can't wait to return and immerse myself in the beauty and tranquility of this hidden gem once again."

Lovely adults only hotel, well positioned for a walk into Meersburg with parking.

This hotel is good, period. But. They want the exquisite status without the investments for it. 180€ is a fair price for a nice room, nice but basic bathroom, fresh breakfast included. But you don't start charging your residents for an open air parking with a sign that you deny any responsability for damage. You cannot expect high standard guests if you only accept cash, unles one is aiming to attract the All Capones of this world. And be honest, they expect more luxury...

It may sound mean but I was disappointed with this hotel and it's difficult to put my finger on it. We had previously spent a week in the mountains two hours away and loved our week, I extended our holiday by a day as friends had been in town and we wanted to check out the area with a view to return at a later date. This was supposed to be a romantic end to our trip.||After a fight with the traffic to get into Meersburg we arrived at the hotel, which commands a hilltop view over the medieval town and Bodensee. We were stood at the reception desk and two separate people walked past us to the room behind the counter and ignored us, eventually the lady that showed us round etc came through, perhaps it was because we were 5 min early for first booking in time, but we had tried to find somewhere to park up and explore a little and found this next to impossible as there were large queues for any parking in town, so decided to go to hotel and walk in.||The hotel appears super slick upon entry, the boutique hotel we wanted for that final day of spoiling ourselves! We were shown to our room, which was whiter than a hospital room and had less colour! The room was immaculately clean, until we found the empty cigarette packet on our balcony floor. The room and hotel has had a large amount of money put into it, but unfortunately was spoilt by cheap finishing ( skirting, that fell off, bath plug broken, fixed with glue, and broken again, woodchip wallpaper etc) the bathroom reminded me of a prison cell (I have no personal experience of one) and the room in general was devoid of colour and personality. The window and patio doors are equipped with extremely efficient external blinds, but my wife doesn't like being closed in (fire safety reasons) and was uncomfortable with the door blinds closed, the only alternative was a chiffon style see through curtain and with some of the external lights out of our control and the traffic lights down the hill on view, as well as that very small light, the sun, she found it hard to sleep. The views from our room were good, overlooking the medieval town and lake.||There is no mini bar in the room and no bar in the hotel. There is a large minibar in the central area of the hotel, that is run as an honesty bar, but unless you want a full bottle of wine , beer or soft drink, you are quite limited. For €255 per night I would expect a well stocked bar of good quality, not all people are wine ponces, I'm a whisky ponce, and enjoy sampling a nice malt whilst my wife enjoys her wine whilst we sit and enjoy the views, and I'm sure other people have other relative preferences.||Breakfast was truly boutique, with more choices than some delicatessens, although some of the items are perhaps a bit more for curiosity. It was very well presented but apart from a few pleasant additions, not really anything special, although the bread was extremely tasty.||As I said before, when I have stayed in better for a lot lot less, I have high expectations of a hotel that charges €255 per night, and was disappointed. I'm sure that for those of you that enjoy the ultra clinical hospital look then you may enjoy this hotel, I on the other hand would rather have stayed in the hotel that needs updating but has those extra homely comforts, such as pictures fixtures that and a bar with a person in it and I'd pay more for it. ||Sorry but not for me although the bed was comfortable!

The hotel is beautiful and as advertised. BUT there are 2 issues to beware of both due to it being on the top of a hill over the town.||||1. There is no protection from hot sun. The balconies are nice, but there is no awning and the hotel faces south, so sun beats down on the balcony morning till night making it unusable when it is hot. We walked around the neighborhood and saw that every other hotel and every house and apartment have some kind of awning over their balconies, giving them shade from the blistering sun. Also, because of the relentless sun, the room continues to heat up all day. The staff's recommendation is to close the blinds of your room from 9:00am to 8:00 p.m.---which results in no view of the town and no moving air. It is stiflingly hot. Despite charging over 200 euros a night, they refuse to buy a 40 euro fan for the room as other hotels that charge much less do. Staff claims it was an unusual hot spell, but records show that Germany has these hot spells almost every year now, probably because of Global Warming. ||2. Being on the top of the hill means you have a long walk down to the street along the lake which is where everyone wants to go. It is about 25 minutes, despite the staff telling you it is 5 minutes. The 5 minutes gets you down to the highest level of the town, but there are a couple more levels down to get to the lake. The challenge once you are down at the lake is to get back up in the blistering heat--parts of the hill are very steep--at about a 30 degree angle (or so it seemed). || In summary, it is a great hotel if the weather is cool and you are willing and able to make long, difficult walks down and especially back up.

Location perfect in front of vineyards looking over town and lake. Was spotlessly clean, our room had a patio too. Breakfast good too. Can walk to lake downhill but uphill on way back. Flat shoes recommended! Highly recommended.

We stayed here one night in October. The room was very comfortable with a nice view overlooking vineyard and lake. The hotel had a wine bar accessible after hours. The dining room for breakfast was exquisite. Prettiest setting we had during our trip!
