Accommodation is in the Villa Toscane but all amenities (e.g. Spa, Gym, Restaurant) and check in/out is across the road at Royal Plaza (Incidentally an absolutely lovely place with multi-lingual staff who are very helpful). Rooms are pleasant but a little dated in terms of decor and some of the doors you really have to lean against to close. All in all, good value for money, but very much a get-what-you-pay-for type of place.

Just arrived back from an amazing 3 day stay in Montreux. We stayed at Villa Toscane and I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. We had a beautiful family room, which was very spacious and clean. The room had a double bed and pull out double sofa bed, both were very comfortable; we all had a very good nights sleep. Although we had to book in at the Royal Plaza opposite, this was not a problem. Staff were very attentive and curteously explained things to do in the area and transport information; nothing was too much trouble. |We didn't book breakfast at the hotel, as we chose to purchase pastries, fruit etc from the local Migros to sit and eat alongside the beautiful lake and watch the world go by. This was such an amazing trip to Montreux and the experience at Villa Toscane added to the wondeful memories made 💕|Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a very enjoyable one 😊

Great service from check-in. It’s a beautiful old Hotel which could be stunning but seriously requires a makeover as it’s very tired with chipped paint and stained carpet. As for the bed, it’s the worst bed we have had over our Europe trip, it gave us both a sore back. We enjoyed our balcony access however it didn’t make up for the hot cold shower experience or the bed.

Staff members are very welcoming and professional. I really enjoyed the spa and it was not crowded. The location is quite nice too, there is a bus stop nearby. The room was always cleaned in time -

Great location short walk along promenade from station or one stop on bus. Great room, clean and well appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Use of facilities (spa/pool/restaurant etc) at five star hotel over the road. What's not to love! Would definitely stay again.

For 300 CHF per night, we did not expect to be sleeping in what is essentially a basement. Our room, 114, was on the ground floor—practically underground—and absolutely did not justify the price. We read comments of other guests complained about room 112, but honestly, room 114 is not any better. The “family room” we were placed in does not resemble—even in 1%—the family rooms advertised on the Hotel Villa Toscana website. Definitely not worth the price.

We came to Montreux to see a few days of the Jazz Festival with our family of 5 (kids 18, 15, 9). I read lots of not great reviews before we came, but they had a room that could comfortably fit our fam, unlike most hotels we were at on the trip so we took a chance (and were rewarded). ||Before we arrived they sent the Montreux Riviera Card sign up so we had access to all public transport on arrival. Check-in across the street at the Royal Plaza was easy. Staff were fantastic, super helpful and pointed out all of the options and amenities. ||Breakfast - we didn’t do the light breakfast that is fully included on any of the 3 mornings, but instead paid the 10CHF per person to have the very good full breakfast. ||Pool - encountered 2 other people each time we went. Kids enjoyed. ||Room - it was hot out, but the room stayed reasonably cool. A bit worn, but not the end of the world. It is a nice old building. We heard noise from the festival, which we expected. If we didn’t want noise we could have stayed far away from this area. ||Overall, there was almost zero alignment with the complaints in other reviews. We’d come back, if we ever can afford it again (Switzerland is expensive. We knew it would be. We loved it).

This charming hotel was very cute. Beds comfy and rooms clean. The staff was very helpful to provide us fans or assist with any planning for our stay. We even swam in the lake right behind the hotel! Negatives, it was super hot while here for one night. The rooms are not air conditioned so we had to wait for sun to go down, open windows, turn on fans but that didn’t help until middle of night when outside dropped in temp a little. And with windows open, you hear road noise so I was hot sleeping.
