Hôtel Villa Toscane

- offering of free wifi is good service but needed to increase the connection speed since most of the times needed to wait and seems no responses even the connection is full. - suggest the windows to have some extra way to block the traffic light coming from the road side since i was highly affected by the light even i've already shutted all the shelter

I really can’t say anything good about this place. It's more of a boarding house and Railbookers should stop booking people in here. It's not well located. It doesn't have a reception. Our room didn't have heating that worked. We had to drag our bags up stairs as the part of the hotel we were only had a lift part of the way. As far as hotel standards in Europe go It's a one-star property. The check-in and breakfast is handled by the Royal Plaza over the road. On checkout I was asked "how was everything? " I relayed my concerns and also comments on the very poor breakfast we had. I feel sure that they'd heard it all before as I received no response.

Horrible experience The door of the room can’t close, lights from corridor going inside the room, thin wall that was allowing to hear EVERYTHING from the room next door, noisy, we could hear everything from the street, leak on the floor, smoke from other rooms coming to our room… It is the worst hotel we ever been. We were very luck that the staff from the other hotel was good. Mr Pawel was very welcoming and found a solution and we changed to room. It was not great but was manageable for us.

This hotel was difficult to review and assess and whilst I've given it 4 stars, I decided to round up from 3.5 stars, rather than round down. The hotel is located about 15 minutes walk from the railway station and is at the end of town. However, there is a convenient bus stop outside to go into town and to return. |Check in/out is at the (5 star?) Royal Plaza Hotel across the road, which is unusual; breakfast is there as well; luggage storage if required, is also at the Royal Plaza and they provide complimentary public transport tickets. Reception provide you with a keycard and code to enter Villa Toscane, with entry along a short side street off the main road. Looking at the exterior of the hotel, your initial thoughts are oh, oh, it looks a little run down. However, on entering, it has clearly been and is still being, renovated (without any inconvenience). Our room faced the back of the hotel, which meant it was nice and quiet and it was modern and looked newly renovated. All facilities were there - a safe, a fridge, desk, chairs, coffee table, although a large portable fan substituted for air con. Plus, best of all, we had two bathrooms. Whether that is standard, I have no idea. It was very comfortable.|As mentioned, breakfast was back across the road at the Royal Plaza and breakfast was pretty average, with limited options. |

Very nice hotel. But our room is location on 3/F only accessible from 2/F via stairs. It may be difficult if u get big luggage.

This is a very interesting building. A pałace style. The room is impressive with tall celing. Very nice balkony.

The hotel is approx 15 mints walk from Railway station. However, its a straight road ( turn right from station) and no problem with luggage. Bus 201 stops right in front of hotel but you have to take the stairs down from opp railway station to go to the right bus stop. We walked. Hotel is fantastic for budget travelers - I cant imagine why some reviewers wrote differently. Large carpeted room, balcony, very nice washroom with bathtub, fresh clean white towels. Good wifi. Electric kettle and tea bags were provided. Clean, white sheeted comfortable beds with pillows. Good value for money.|Note : Go opp hotel to Royal Plaza for initial check in. Get card to open room and code to open main entrance of Villa Touscane. You have to carry your luggage yourself - no help provided. Elevator to take luggage. No reception in Villa Touscane. That said - once you settle in - am sure you will love it as we did. Famous Lake promenade is 5 minutes walk from hotel. Highly recommended for budget travelers.

Checked in late at night ( on 27sep) in room 317 Villa Toscana, no one was at the reception, had to go across the street in royal plaza to checkin. Came back to the hotel and used the squeaky elevator to go up only to know there are more stairs to our room without elevator. Had to carry 3 50 pound bags up by my self n my husband.! On top of that Ac was not working, called reception and it went to voice mail. Called again someone picked up n said we cant do anything about Ac n regarding room this is the only room available :( talk to manager in the morning! After expressing all the disappointment the person said he will send someone. Took 30 min to come, by the time we found that ac plug was not inserted, the wall socket is bad so removed tv plug n inserted ac plug in to get going n cool down. Another bummer put my passport n stuff in locker n now its somehow stuck without a passcode n doesnt open! Re beds they are too hard not comfortable! Definitely not 4 star highly disappointed! V wrong expectations set! They had jacussi which was shared with royal plaza. The water in the jacussi would bubble but wasnt hot. We couldnt find any knob to change the temperature. Overall all it was a 1 star experience on the first night n major disappointment. Next day after expressing our concerns, they moved us to room number 304 which had elevator and was a bigger room, had balcony, had bath tub and standing shower, had sofa cum bed, two twin beds and they put a cover at the top to make it look/feel like a single bed, and gave us a single comforter on request. They gave us the complimentary breakfast for the next 2 days. This room was much better but still had cracks in the bathroom tiles n i saw a few insects coming out as well. Also spotted a small hole in the ceiling. Cant believe how the authorities gave it a 4 star. Overall i would say the experience was 3 star.
