We stayed here for a week. We had a lovely time and the hotel was excellent. Pool was lovely, nice and big with plenty of areas to chill out. Rooms were great also perfect for what we were looking for. Reason not getting a full 5 stars is service in restaurant was a little lacklustre (we are not the most needy at all!) - slow to bring bills / take orders. However this aside it was a fabulous stay and can recommend.

Had a wonderful seven night stay at Villas Caracol, it was just perfect. Perfectly located on a beautiful beach and about 20 min stroll into the centre. |Breakfast was amazing, good choice from menu, also included coffee, juice, toast and topped off with a mimosa ! We also ate lunch at the restaurant a few days and food was delicious. We were very well looked after, especially by Angel. ||All the staff were really friendly and really helpful. ||We stayed in a 2 bed villa which was perfect for family of 4. The cleaners did an amazing job, so thorough, special thanks to Ale and Reyna. ||Sunset drinks were a really nice touch, thank you to the whole team at Villas Caracol for a wonderful break, we hope to be back soon 🥰

The rooms are great, staff is very attentive. It‘s not overcrowded and lovely pool area. We were not the biggesz fan of the restaurant/food/breakfast they served (kind of fatty) but other than that can only recommend if staying at Holbox.

The hotel is really beautiful, the rooms are big and with very nice design, the pool is also very good, with different depths. The restaurant is delicious and with reasonable prices. We arrived to the hotel from the ferry using a taxi, since we had backpacks and it was super warm. But during the stay you can reach the “city center” on foot by walking on the seaside and it takes max 20 mins. They also have a couple of kayaks which you can use for free.

We stayed at Villas Caracol for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! The beach is stunning and peaceful, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the food was some of the best we had on the island. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated. They helped us plan all our excursions and surprised us with a free beverage at sunset each evening, which made every day feel special. As a gay couple we felt completely comfortable and cared for. It was the ideal mix of romance, relaxation, and hospitality. We cannot wait to come back!

The hotel is just perfect! The room is beautiful, comfortable and includes everything you need and more. The stuff are amazing and take care with a smile to anything you need. The pool is great and the beach front really nice. Breakfast is amazing with a huge variety. We also ate in the hotel restaurants few times and everything we ate was super and felt very high quality. I can’t think of a better experience while in Holbox.

Smallest details where remembered and all our small or big asks where answered.|Our dj and singer was @almasanta.prod and she sand during our ceremony the whole mashup we created together. I have no words to describe. For me wedding is the ceremony and Dj Alma made it spectacular.|She is a gorgeous soul who helped me creating the most memorable wedding of my dreams.|I will always be forever grateful to the entire team who made my wedding so special.

The gold standard for people who like peace and quiet: Everybody is genuinely friendly. The restaurant is excellent, morning, lunch or dinner. The service by Beto and the rest of the staff was superb, whether you were eating at the restaurant or lazily on the beach. The music was generally very good and the volume was not loud (a very rare thing these days). The hotel is very tastefully built and hidden amongst the palms and trees, it sets the bar high for the rest of the island. The perfect opposite of Cancun's horrible hotel strip. The location is superb, the sea is like a big, private pool, whether you want to swim or walk (the water reaches your knees at the sand banks) all the way to the area with flamingos. The water is fresh in the mornings and nights, and warm/hot during the day. The amount of details, from arranging a free boat trip whilst the place underwent repairs for a few hours, to facilitating borrowing cash, to getting courtesy drinks to watch the sunset, to name but a few (of the very many) things they did for us, this is what really caring about your guests looks like. Didn't get a chance to catch the owner's name but my hat goes off to you sir, this was a vacation to remember. We'll definitely go back.

Yelp
We spent 4 nights at Villa Caracol and had a wonderful time. It's a beautiful resort right on beach. Our room was nestled in the trees with a wonderful view of the pool. The friendly and open hospitality of the staff really made our stay nice. I highly recommend villa Caracol and I hope to return soon.

Yelp
We planned to stay for five nights and decided we were leaving after 24 hours. Here's what happened: -BED BUGS. There are bed bugs at this hotel. It was mentioned in a previous review, as was the staff's blasé attitude towards the situation. I assure you it was not taken care of, and that we are currently in bed bug hell trying to make sure we do not bring them home. If that isn't enough to persuade you: -There are none-ZERO- beachfront rooms at this hotel. They call rooms that are facing the direction of the beach "beachfront", despite the fact that they do not have beach views and are located behind the pool, bar, restaurant, etc. If you paid for a beachfront room (like we did), you are getting scammed (like we did). -There is no wifi in the hotel rooms. I've seen it mentioned that wifi is "spotty"- it's not. There's none. Wifi is "spotty" throughout the rest of the hotel. -The staff simply is not that kind, welcoming, nor accommodating. We did not feel welcome at all upon check-in, had to ask for things multiple times (for example, our shower was extremely dirty when we got to our room and I had to ask three times for it to be cleaned). The manager, however, is very kind, and offered to refund us the nights we did not stay. -Dead bugs literally all over the pool. -Not the hotel's fault at all, but holbox is the buggiest, most moquito-riddled place I've ever visited. -There are only dirt roads in Holbox. While this is very cool in theory, if it rains you are screwed. The island was practically flooded and it was extremely difficult to get around. -Beds are not comfortable. There are no duvets. -Staff is extremely loud- yelling, laughing, at 6am; which made sleeping past then impossible. -Lastly, our entire room smelled like sewage. TL;DR: Listen, we all love camping. Camping is fun, so long as you *know* you're going to be camping, and are not paying over $300 for a luxury hotel experience. Would never stay again, would never recommend to anyone. Also, bed bugs.
