I absolutely loved Villas Caracol! This place was a treasure. The staff were so kind and professional. The hotel very beautiful. The pictures online do not do it justice. ||The staff was incredibly kind and knew us by name. If we left a bottle of sunscreen by the beach, they were knocking on our door a few minutes later. Jimena and Daniela at the front desk were very friendly and helped us to make reservations and get taxis and gave us great maps and recommendations. ||The room was great and the WiFi was much better than what I had been led to believe reading reviews about spotty internet on the island. ||We had the small pool outside of our room, but we preferred the larger pool in the courtyard. It had a swim up bar and our bartender was a young woman named Natalia! She was the best! The drinks were all handmade from fresh fruit, and made with great care. The courtyard surrounding the pool was very pretty and exotic. My wife and I both loved the piña colodas which were made from fresh fruit and not overly sweet like the daiquiris back home. The titular named cocktail, Los Hamacas, was my go to most of the trip. It was awesome! My wife loved the mango margarita. Natalia was super cool and it was just a great vibe. ||The restaurant, Los Hamacas, offers an amazing view of the island’s sunset. Franco, Miguel, Noel, Gabriela, and Angel were so friendly! There’s another server whose name I forgot, but they were all so kind. There are so many great places to eat on the island but honestly, we really liked this spot the best. What I found so endearing about this place was that every night when the sunset, the whole staff stopped to watch it alongside us like it was there first time seeing it. ||There’s no such thing as a perfect vacation, and there’s no such thing as a perfect place, but this spot was for me as close as I’ve ever seen to perfect.
