Hotel Villas Flamingos is absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, everything felt like paradise. The property is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the views are unbeatable. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and perfectly designed for total relaxation. A special shoutout to Ivan, who went above and beyond to take care of us throughout our stay. His kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made our experience unforgettable. The entire team was warm, attentive, and always ready to help, but Ivan truly stood out. If you’re visiting Holbox, this hotel is an absolute must. I can’t recommend it enough

Absolutely loved this hotel! The hotel and rooms were clean, stylish and beautiful. The service was brilliant, everyone so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and lunch there was great too! They had insect repellent cream around the hotel, looks like hand sanitizer so make sure not to ignore and use, v helpful! The hotel was about 20 min walk along the beach to the town centre, super easy, otherwise a taxi is fixed price there and back at 150 pesos each way. They also let you use the bikes for free. Would definitely love to come back!

Gabino was our wonderful server at the beach club. We wanted to take a chill after walking the beach and Gabino was great. Personable, prompt Nd professional. He made our experience great. Amazing beach club with free wi-fi, bathrooms and free towels. Drinks were really good. Didn't try any food but looked tasty.

This was an outstanding experience for my husband and I on our honeymoon. When we come back we will stay here again with pleasure. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The pool and beach is quiet and wonderful to swim. The staff are all so attentive and accommodating. Special shout out to German, Jesus, Fernanda, Sarai, Roderigo, Louis. Thank you for making our stay so memorable and luxurious.

We spent a couple of nights in the Honeymoon suite at this resort. The rooms are good and the hotel is well located on the beach, BUT the inability to remove the seaweed ruined our visit totally. A thick layer of rotten and very smelly seaweed covered the beach and the staff never managed to remove it. |This resulted in an awful smell that caused it was even hard to stay on the room balcony or even eat outdoors at the hotel restaurants. To get to the beach you have to walk through 20cm of stinky soap. |The connection staff/guests was close to nothing so it’s obvious that they have some work to do how to make customers fell special and welcome, not only collect the money, as this in not a cheap hotel. |I can’t recommend this hotel and there are much more interesting alternatives along the beach, that at least managed to remove the seaweed from their part of the beach.

We had the chance to spend a full week at Villa Flamingos in Holbox, and overall we had a wonderful time. Everything was very convenient and easy, and we truly enjoyed our stay. The sunsets were breathtaking, the beach is one of the best on the island, and we had an unforgettable experience swimming with whale sharks (organized outside the hotel). The location is also ideal — at the far end of the island in a quiet area, yet still close to the center (10min by cab), thanks to the island’s small size. Additionally, everything is significantly cheaper than in Tulum or Cancun, where prices are often inflated by three times the normal Mexican rate. As for service, it’s what you often find in Mexico: friendly but inconsistent. English is barely spoken, orders are sometimes forgotten, and drinks can take ages to arrive—always with the expectation of tips. That being said, I want to highlight Andres, whose attentive service really stood out and was a pleasure throughout our stay. Rooms are on the smaller side, and in our case, space was compromised by a large indoor bath/pool that was more of a gimmick than a useful feature. A bigger room would have been far more comfortable. That said, we really enjoyed our stay and I would warmly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Holbox!

Hotel Villas flamingo was out first stop on the island as our honeymoon ! The room was beautiful but the designs of the shower beats the functionality of it . Ignacio was the best waiter I’ve had in a long time learning my wife’s and mine bar day one and learning what we drink and eat , nobody else not even management did this ( making and effort to know your guests) The breakfast was crazy good ! Try the Croque-madame . The adult only pools where fantastic and the grounds well kept . Just bring a lot of mosquito repellent!

Yelp
What an Incredible Escape! Not easy to get to, but TOTALLY worth it. This place is located on Isla Holbox in the Yucatan. First, getting to Isla Holbox. You have to fly into Cancun. Then there's a great Holbox transfer service (I'll review later) that will drive you the 1 1/2 drive to Chiquila, then you take a 30 minute ferry to the island. Then take a golf cart taxi to the hotel (there aren't hardly any cars on the island; everyone gets around on golf carts). Its a Tropical Paradise Hotel. Our room was located on the upper two floors of the building (only 2 rooms in our building). Our patios had lounge chairs, chairs, hammocks. Top floor had a hot tub with views. Mini fridge with waters in room. Indoor & Outdoor showers. There are no traditional shower heads; everything looked like branches or pails. I loved the Mexican Island decor. There's no television or phones (and you can forget your cell phone working; however, they do have free wi-fi). If it gets too hot for you, there IS air conditioning (had to blast that a couple of times). Incredible views of the ocean. Hotel pool is fantastic. Included in your cost is breakfast (very good) and hotel toys (bikes, kayaks, etc). There's a hotel restaurant inside lobby and a bar/restaurant, right next to the ocean. You will also have to deal with many resident creatures (iguanas, raccoon thieves, pelicans, stray dogs, etc). There's a sandbar a hundred feet out in the ocean that you can walk for a couple of miles and see all the flamingos. You can grab a bike to ride into town. Its an amazing place. PLUS, Excellent service. Everyone was friendly & helpful. I'm sad to be reviewing because that means I'm home.

Yelp
We got the Bungalow Cielo and OMG, it was gorgeous. AC worked great, the tub on the top floor palapa was amazing, the included breakfast was very good (FYI they don't have champagne to order mimosas- no biggie). Service at the hotel was excellent. They will call you a taxi when you need to go to town. I found the distance to be too far to walk in that heat, but they do also have bicycles you can use. The pool was never crowded either. Next time we may stay closer to town just to be walking distance, but I am glad we chose Villa Flamingos because it was awesome and we may not have seen some of the places that far up the island if we hadn't.

Yelp
OMG !! THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! too bad waters were not as nice around December(windy and slightly cold) they keep all areas really clean all the time!! we got a room on second floor with balcony overlooking water. next time I will male sure we stay more than 1 day. el pueblo is enchanting !!! crustaceo cascarudo restaurant in town was off the hook!!! staff is cool and informative! bikes that we took to town desperately need servicing. falling apart but we made it!! ride to town was worth the whole trip! I would stay there a week! IT IS MORE A 4.5 STAR PLACE, I COULD NOT GIVE A 4 ..... too GOOD for that. please do not change smiles for anything!! it does matter to us ! good job.
