Hotel Viñas de Larrede (Lárrede, Aragón) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In the medieval village of Lárrede, where the 10th-century Church of San Pedro still stands, Hotel Viñas de Lárrede offers a stay steeped in history. Its wood-and-stone facade nods to the alpine heritage of the Pyrenees, while floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the Gállego River and rugged mountain peaks. Just minutes from Spain’s largest ski resort, the hotel is a year-round retreat, with an intimate spa, a garden-framed pool, and a restaurant celebrating the flavors of the region - a place to slow down and take it all in." - Tablet Hotels

If you book through a service such as Booking.com and you have a negative experience at their hotel, they will mark your reservation as canceled so you can not write a review on the website! They do not have air conditioning. It's a poorly working fan that they claim will get the room temperature to 9 degrees, even though we were both sweating in the room the entire night. The motion sensor light in the bathroom is abhorrent. Also, if you are a motorcycle rider, you will be stuck at the gate on a downward slope trying to leave the property because the gate will not open for you.

Beautiful hotel with views of the surrounding valleys and nearby proximity to Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. FYI - it is more of a formal hotel stay despite the rural location and roughly half the rooms do not have views of the valley.

This hotel is truly a five-star chalet from every angle. It's the perfect retreat. My husband and I traveled by train from Madrid to Huesca, where Violeta , the enchanting driver recommended by the hotel, picked us up and took us to this spectacular property. Since it was quite late, I received a call from the hotel while we were on the train, offering to arrange dinner for us upon our arrival or at least leave some snacks in our room. How thoughtful! I declined, but I appreciated the gesture. They still left us delicious fresh fruit (which was replenished daily) and other welcome snacks.||Andrea greeted us warmly, guiding us to our room and explaining everything we needed to know, all while effortlessly handling our heavy luggage. The room itself was stunning—luxurious, cottage-style, with a view that’s hard to put into words; we would say in Spanish, “del más allá!”||I’ll share our experience, relying solely on our feet for transport. Our goal was complete disconnection and hiking. First, let me describe the hotel itself. The decor throughout is chic, especially in the bar area, where comfortable chairs are upholstered in a beautifully original mix of rich fabrics (likely from a famous designer). The layout creates intimate lounges with spectacular views of the impressive Pyrenees Mountains. My pics don’t make justice of the place.||The restaurant and breakfast area share the same space but are cleverly reconfigured to feel entirely different. The breakfast offered a variety of high-quality options, and they would prepare eggs to your liking upon request. Dinner was exquisite, featuring refined Spanish cuisine, and everything I tried was fantastic.||The outdoor spaces were simply beautiful, with comfortable elegant furniture and stunning mountain views. The staff made us feel right at home, always eager to meet our needs, whether it was a specific drink request or just wanting a simple soup for dinner. Their refined and genuine manners were a rare find.||As for not having a car, I would do it all over again. Andrea understood our desires and guided us on where to hike. We explored everything from nearby mountain trails (took us to Susin village) to the breathtaking Oros Bajo waterfall, and even visited Biescas, a town with a population of 1,600 (it was about three hours of walking, but we did cheat and took a taxi back to the hotel! By the way, the taxi arrived just two minutes later with the friendliest driver). We also visited the charming village of Senegue, where we had one of our best meals and a dry martini at its only restaurant! Walking through nature, surrounded by goats and sheep, was truly mesmerizing. So don’t worry if you’re not inclined to drive or want to save on transportation.||The icing on the cake was meeting the hotel owners—a genuinely nice couple who were incredibly helpful. I wish we lived closer to them to become friends and hang out often!|| On our departure, they opened the breakfast area earlier than usual so my husband could start his day off right.||What more can I say? It was simply fantastic! Thank you so much for an amazing vacation Viña de Larrede!

We stayed 4 nights here in early September. While we were very excited about our stay based on the stellar reviews and gorgeous photos, we found the entire experience to be a complete disappointment - and certainly not what one expects from a 4-star hotel in western Europe.||The high point of our stay was Andrea's very warm welcome and excellent service at reception. Everything went downhill after that.||Room: was infested with several annoying flies upon check-in, and lacked many basic amenities (including tissues and wash cloths). Towels were thin and threadbare. Walls were paper-thin, and we could hear constant noise from our neighbors on both sides. The bed was very comfortable, but this high point didn't quite make up for the hotel's many shortcomings.||Restaurant: while the breakfast buffet was perfectly acceptable, dinner (food and service) was absolutely abysmal. Not sure how or why the restaurant can possibly call itself "top-rated". On our first night in the main dining room, we ordered the short rib. Most of the fat was not rendered, so we were served about 1 oz of adequately cooked meat and about 10 oz of pure fat. The cod was chewy, and perplexingly served atop what I can only describe as a bed of canned tomato soup. For dessert, the cheesecake tasted like a thawed frozen treat from the grocery store, and the rice pudding was little more than rice soaking in a vat of cream / whole milk. We ate 2 other dinners in the bar, and the food (croquetas, soup, anchovies) tasted like reheated prepared food from a nearby grocery store. Service was brusque and disinterested in both the restaurant and bar.

Very nice hotel in great quiet location! Overall had a nice stay. In reading other reviews I read about someone else calling out the power lines - in fact there are power lines in the far distance but not up close to the hotel. It is in a valley versus in the mountains. A few towns north you will find incredible mountain views but I don't think there is a hotel as nice as this one within the mountain range view. The valley view is pretty and a nice base camp for seeing the other beautiful areas north of the hotel. Pros - great view, very quiet (I was worried it might be loud with the restaurant below the balcony rooms but it was quiet. Was also worried we would hear the reception below that is open but it was quiet!). Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. Bed very comfortable! Cons - no tissue in rooms had to use toilet paper, didn't get robes for pool and spa until day 3 (last day of 3 night stay), they shut down the air conditioning on day 3 and turned on the heat when it was still 15-20 degrees outside so the room was extremely hot on night 3. They gave us a fan but I didn't sleep at all. I was so glad to have had 2 nights with cooler air. Tried leaving the balcony door open but the flies kept coming in. Overall the room started to feel very stuffy and I couldn't wait to leave. The hotel itself is well kept and comfortable and cozy. The Christmas lights add to the charm!

Would give it more stars if possible. Our entire stay was amazing. From the service upon arrival to everyone we interacted with throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious and luxurious. Special thanks to Maria Jesus for providing great restaurant and day trip recommendations. One of the best hotels I've ever stay in.
