The Texas Gulf Coast Has Charming Fishing Towns, Quiet Beaches, and Lesser-known U.S. History

"Opened in November 2023 by Robert Marcus and couple Dave and Keath Jacoby, this seaside-modern boutique revitalizes a 1963 motor court into a 61-room midcentury beach escape with an elevated surf vibe. Rooms are minimal and inviting, opening onto an interior courtyard and pool, while design-forward public spaces include a casual lobby den serving all-day menus and a rooftop bar that comes alive at dusk with live music and ocean views. Decorative touches—like bold palm-leaf drapery and colorful tiles sourced from a family-owned tile maker in Granada—underscore a carefully curated return-to-the-island aesthetic driven by local roots and attention to detail." - Mariah Tyler Mariah Tyler Mariah Tyler is Travel + Leisure's associate visuals director. An attractive “modern” hotel with friendly staff and set in a good location with a 15-20 minute walk to the Cathedral and an 8 euro taxi ride to the Alhambra. (We took a taxi up and walked down again after our visit.)||There was a good-sized bedroom with adequate storage. The bathroom was clean and housekeeping staff were very attentive.||The restaurant is an attractive space. Excellent self-service breakfast, with a fixed price menu available, even in the evening, as well as an a la carte choice. We ate in the restaurant twice; generous portions.||Very helpful staff at reception and in the restaurant. A special mention to the young lady at reception, whose name I cannot remember I am afraid, and to the restaurant manager.||This hotel was the best “overall package” of our Andalucian trip.

Fantastic location, amazing lobby and warm, friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room - Huge bed -maybe one thing to make it more perfect would be smart tvs so we could watch another channel other than sky news ! our room was on the second floor facing the street but when windows closed you couldn't hear a thing - quiet, peaceful hotel we had a lovely relaxing break celebrating our wedding anniversary - even had a bottle of cava left in our room for us on our arrival - a lovely kind touch - we would definitely recommend and 100% stay again - all in all a fantastic mini break and so glad we chose this hotel and what a fantastic city Granada is - relaxed friendly people and even free tapas with your drinks - who could ask for more? Thank you Granada and thank you Vincci hotels we hope to see you again soon xx

Be very careful when staying at this hotel. I was staying in 2013 with my family and we were robbed. While we were having coffee on the last day of our stay, someone entered our room, opened our bags and stole jewelry and money. This is the scam because people usually leave their bags closed and ready to leave and don't check anymore. They only miss it when they reach the next destination and then it's too late. I called the hotel and they said that they don't have cameras at the hallway, they didn't even pay attention to what we were reporting in a terrible attitude. It took me a long time to report this event, because I was fearful, but now I decided to tell our terrible experience in this hotel to avoid others. As I said, be very careful!!!!!!!!!

Walking into the beautiful marble lobby made a relaxing entrance after a long train ride. Ideally located and walking distance from the center. Our room was a comfortable size though tight due to the queen bed. My issues were the loud creaking door and I mean really squeaky. The bathroom lacked a holder for our own personal facial and body care. Can’t they upgrade the TV to at least get Netflix? We didn’t have instructions on how to use the phone to call front desk. And WiFi was so weak in our room we had to go to the lobby to use our phone. ||I know I’m nitpicking but these little items do matter to us. Thank goodness for the uber comfortable bed

Good value for money. It has a good but expensive restaurant inside, great location and comfortable rooms but room service starts really early and you can hear beds being dragged around since 9am or so. At least the rooms have good sound isolation. Also, I have booked for a double bed and got a twin. The gym is almost non-existent, it is just some cardio equipment with small free weights and one broken bench where I has an accident and hurt my leg, by luck I didn't hit my face when it disengaged.

Perfect first stay!||Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the room was spotless and comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Says its 4 star but its not. I'm nit picking but.... 1 complimentary water provided in the room for 2 people but no bottle opener. Tea and coffee in the room but no milk. Told to cross the road and buy some.... No tissues in the room, no vanity kit. Bar staff abrupt bordering on rude... Asked for a teaspoon ? Sorry no can do. Breakfast very average, not enough plates to go around (2 mornings in a row) This isn't 4 star its 3 at best. If it billed itself as 3 star I wouldn't be writing this , it would be expected. But don't promote yourself as 4 star when you are not.
