Hotel Vincci Consulado de Bilbao

Our 5-day stay at Vincci Consulado was terrific. You can't beat the location. While the rooms are smallish, it is to be expected in a city hotel, and bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, and the terrace bar had tasty food and an incredible view. Staff were all very nice. Highly recommend.

Great & convenient location. Opposite the Guggenheim, city a short walk away and tons of very good restaurants nearby. Travelling with children it is always great to have connecting rooms. There is a small car park and you should reserve a spot well in advance. For me Elena/Helena from reservations was a star- excellent customer service!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Great service by the wonderful staff, both during breakfast, tapas at lunch and during dinner. Especially want to send a thanks out to Luis, part of the restaurant team, for making our stay memorable. And thanks to the entire staff of Vincci Bilbao. Also, can't forget to mention the wonderful location of the hotel, close to the stores and the Guggenheim!

We stayed at this wonderful hotel at the end of May. The excellent location above the river with a spectacular view of the Guggenheim Museum was fantastic. Both the old town and the new parts of the city are within easy reach. We were also impressed by the friendliness of the helpful staff.

Average but not 4 star. The location is great. Bed is comfy, but the room smells musty. The drapes need to be cleaned because they are very dusty and smell. Staff did not pay attention to details, like the number of towels, out of toilet paper, out of Kleenex, and water. You only receive water the first night of the stay. The parking is limited and we called to reserve one the day before, when we arrived no parking. Had to walk 5 minutes to a lot in the rain to park. Also they can only accommodate small cars. The breakfast is decent. The view from the room is nice.

Me and my husband stayed here on Easter week. Two days for work. Wonderfull stay. Super location, view to the river and moutains, next to the Gugenheim Museum and between the old center and the new Bilbao. Super friendly and attentive personel. Wonderfull breakfast!

Poor service at the terrace bar. For a supposedly upmarket terrace bar, we expected a lot better. Firstly, we had to ask the server to come and take our order. Secondly, our table hadn't been wiped after the previous customers. When we asked the server to wipe it, he said he'd do it if he had time!!! When we complained, he said they were understaffed and that he had to work later than planned. A very nice waitress brought us our order, apologised and wiped the table. It's a good job the food and the view were good, but overall it really wasn't worth spending a bit more than a local neighbourhood bar.

Everything was great during our stay. The room was small but had everything we needed. In the evening, the hotel restaurant was closed due to a private event, but the staff were very helpful and booked us a table at another restaurant in the city. Excellent service overall!
