Hotel Vincci Consulado de Bilbao

My son and I stayed here on a quick trip to Bilbao to see the Guggenheim. The hotel was a 3-minute walk to the museum, so that was perfect. We had a gorgeous river view from our room. Breakfast was very good. The room was clean and quiet, and the staff was helpful and friendly. We would stay here again when we next visit Bilbao.

Perfect location right next to Guggenheim, close to the river and not far to walk into the citycore. Friendly staff and its always a great to be welcomed with a cute glass of cava when checking in. Rooms are good, and generally the hotel is new and nice (not worn down etc). The only remark is that the suites are om the basement floor, below the reception etc. Usually they are at the higher floors. Could be okey i guess, if it wasnt for the traffic and light rail way that is right outside the window. But still its not a city where you can expect an early night sleep anyways, and after midnight its okey and we had a great night sleep. No noise from restaurants etc. All in all a great hotel. Already came back once, and will do so again!

We’re here for a special occasion and staff so warm and welcoming. Hotel was full due to flight cancellations and seemed to run like clockwork. Restaurant was fantastic and really recommend the duck leg dish . Bar manager lovely and very knowledgeable and like to converse. The view from the terrace over the river / city and Guggenheim is so relaxing to chill .

An OK room, everything clean, nice staff at reception and a good local style breakfast. We stayed in high season (September) so we thought the price was a bit too high for the room but it had all we needed. To get to the old town or the good restaurants and the beach you need to hop on the bus or have about a 30 mins walk.

The hotel is located right in front of the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao, making it a great location with parking for an extra cost brighten the centre of the city. The views from bar were nice. We have previously stayed in the hotel of this chain in Porto, Portugal, and it was absolutely fabulous— the staff, the location, the facilities, everything was brilliant, so we decided to book the hotel from Vincci chain again, when we came to Bilbao, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. Starting with the fact that no one actually instructed us on how to get to our room, how to get Internet, leading to the fact that there was no water or whatsoever available coffee or so in the room. It was clean, but there were no rubbish bins, which was weird. Furthermore, it was my birthday and there was literally zero acknowledgement of that by hotel. They didn't only ignore the fact of the celebration, but they also complained to us, that when I was supposed to receive my surprise flower delivery we were not in the room and they couldn't contact us for an hour, even though they had all our contact details and nobody emailed us at last. So literally no congratulations and a very rubbish attitude on my birthday without any compliments or upgrades whatsoever, despite the fact that when you're staying in a hotel of a proper level, you always expect a good treatment that we unfortunately didn't get this time. So, do not recommend if you wish to have any special occasions there, but the location is great.

Excellent experience and service of a 5-star hotel⭐ We were travelling with our 4 months old baby and the hotel took care to provide bed and even baby bathtub for our little one. The location is just great, by the river and a 2 min walk from Guggenhaim museum. Rooms are very comfortable and silent - perfect for longer or short stay.

We completely enjoyed staying at this hotel. Every single person we encountered at reception over a 3 day period was extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel was extremely clean and the room spacious. Having 2 sinks in the bathroom is a huge bonus. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. It's a 2 minute walk to the Guggenheim. The area was very nice. We had to leave the hotel at 4:30 for a flight, and our taxi was prebooked and waiting for us, along with a to-go breakfast. Highly recommend.

We stayed 9 days in July and later 6 days in September during our two month trip to Spain. The staff at the Vincci are amazing! They make you feel like family, take care of your every need and are very accommodating. We even asked if we could have coffee/breakfast at their hotel when we weren't staying there and they said: "This is your home! Come anytime!" The rooms were clean, we loved the atmosphere and sitting outside by the river. It was central too all areas and very quiet. We will always book at the Vincci whenever we are in Spain!
