Hotel Vincci Puertochico

A fantastic hotel in a great location, really close to bars and boutique shops. Parking available next to hotel.|Our room looked over the marina. Comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge. Lovely bathroom facilities, great shower and quality products. The staff were great. We had to change our booking at the last minute and we did this with no problem, thankyou for doing this.

We received a wonderfully warm welcome on arrival and immediately felt at home. Our room was extremely clean, stylish, and very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have a sea‑facing room overlooking the port, which meant we could enjoy coffee on the terrace while watching the world go by — including some stunning sunsets.|Breakfast was excellent, with a generous buffet offering plenty of choice and a delicious start to each day.|During our 11‑night stay, every member of staff was attentive and friendly. A special mention goes to Tino, who not only looked after us but also became our unofficial Spanish teacher — nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you, Tino.|We chose this late‑season break to celebrate both our birthdays and our 20th wedding anniversary, and Vincci made it truly special. Upon arrival in our room it smelled horrible. Like sewage gasses. We told the desk and they said it had to do with low tide but that was not the case. The brought in some air freshener which did not work. They had no other rooms to put us in. In the middle we awoke and it was far worse. Headache and feeling very sick. We opened the room door and the patio door but it was absolutely terrible. We had to sleep with our room door completely open. The next day they put a filter in the air conditioning unit which did nothing and said they could move us to the room next to us the next day. The next day they said that the other room had the same issue. They were however able to move us to a junior suite for our last night. The junior suite had a sinks that were constantly gurgling so we believe the hotel has a major septic issue. We were offered no compensation whatsoever. I have emailed the general manager twice with no response. Really a shame that such a beautiful hotel in a lovely location doesn’t take better care of guests.

The hotel is located in a perfect location to explore Santander. There are restaurants and cafes as well as the waterfront located in front of the hotel. The staff was super friendly and the room was well appointed with comfortable beds and nice bathroom. I highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Comfortable room with great views. Excellent location facing the water. Great and kind staff. Wide variety breakfast and Tino, the host, was very welcoming. The hotel does not have its own parking. However there is a lot of public parking under ground.

The hotel was in a prime position overlooking the bay. We had an executive room with a balcony. The decor was fresh and the room bright and spacious. The staff were super helpful and ensured we had a great holiday. This is definitely our go to hotel in Santander.

The hotel is in a good location and the south facing rooms have great views over the bay.||However, the rooms are small and expensive. Our main problem was the poor aircon system which was weak and could not cool down the room even when left on all day. The couple in the adjacent bedroom told us they had the same problem.||The duty manager did look at it for us but said there was nothing he could do to improve its performance and hoped the room would cool down at night. This did not happen so we had to sleep on top of the bedsheets and use damp towels to keep cool - not ideal when trying to sleep especially when one of us has a heart condition.||We told the manager this and he did not even offer us a fan to cool the room down.||Even a complimentary drink or breakfast would have been a nice touch.||Our two nights were a struggle but luckily we had booked a different hotel for our third and fourth nights and their bedroom was much bigger, had great views, was cheaper and had excellent aircon.||No doubt Vincci will respond saying that the days we stayed in the hotel were unusually hot but this will be a poor excuse - on a sunny day the south facing rooms will be overly hot because the aircon system needs to be upgraded or completely replaced - something the local staff clearly know.||Annoyingly, the ground floor reception and bar was nice and cool so the aircon there worked efficiently..||For the money, you can get bigger, better, cheaper rooms elsewhere in Santander. ||We had to pay for our two nights in full in advance which is unusual in Spain - if we had not done so we would have left after night 1.

Excellent location, great view, nice decor. Great price. Highly recommend this hotel. Boutique style. Close to restaurants and Cafe. Right on the bay.

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. The breakfast was really great. Oscar saw that it was my birthday on my passport and brought me bottle of champagne and gourmet chocolates. It really made the trip super special and I'm really happy I stayed at this perfect hotel.

A very nice hotel. Our family of five stayed for three nights. Excellent breakfast included. Nice view of bay. Friendly service.
