Hotel Vincci Selección La Plantación del Sur

A wonder of a hotel. We usually stay closer to the adeje centre but a last min change meant we stayed here and were instantly delighted. A short trip and we were upgraded to a suite with hot tub and terrace. Yep ..we didnt want to leave the room it was all we needed for a perfect secluded tranquil private oasis. The hotel is a vast haven of little gems, there a hidden area where u can watch a perfect sunset, tip anyone thinking of a wedding proposal omg take a hint lol!! The breakfast full and varied and he staff, Riki esp, are attentive and welcome you with a smile, nothing better. Although nearly at capacity you cudnt tell it was tranquil and did not feel over crowded at all. The rooms are clean and well decorated, the beds super soft and luxurious bedding, the roof top hot tub jacuzzi, well ..what can you say. We would most definitely stay here again. A short walk into adeje centre which for those seasoned walkers here wouldn't even reach a sweat! Beautiful grounds too and pool area altho tbh we spent all our time in the room and on the tereace as it was just perfect for us. As its off the main road n set back from maybe the "main beachfront" its slightly more reasonable too. We compared the standard of others and for the upgrades etc you get far more for your money here.

First of all, incredibly clean, spacious, and most importantly, not crowded. They actually have a maximum capacity, which I love, because being packed into a busy spa is definitely not my hobby hehe I really enjoyed the contrast circuit with different saunas and the hot–cold showers. The outdoor area is also amazing 🤩 a beautiful pool with great views. But what truly defines any place , whether it’s a restaurant, venue, or spa , is the service. And here, it was exceptional. At reception we were welcomed by a lovely girl, Ximena 😍. She explained everything about the spa, walked us through each area, and showed how everything works. Her calm voice and warm energy honestly made us want to stay longer just to listen to her lol. Amazing customer service!

Great place, you actually do not need to leave the premises at all, but in case you want within 10 mins there is a nice promenade by the beach. Very nice facilities and hotel, but what it really makes a huge difference is the staff, professional and warm&close they can give you the feeling to being part of your family if you want to engage on conversation, this goes from concierge, breakfast, cleaning, pool, bars, any area. Special mention to the kids club care takers Monica and Ayo which they made my kids to want to the club instead of the pool!! Wow. Also the activities that Francesca Lily and Monica were leading were super nice, dancing and mojito and the facial ritual were among our favs! Victor and Juan at the restaurant, David at the bar also made our stay to be outstanding. Our thanks to all of the staff. We def are looking forward to go again as soon as holiday season times and needs aligns :)

Firstly, I would say this hotel is on the lower end of 5 star and isn't on the same level as some of the other nearby luxury hotels. However, it is priced considerably cheaper so I would consider it more of a great 4 star. It is not fair to compare it to other 5 stars in the area that are charging 500+ a night. Pros - Rooms are excellent. Well sized, powerful showers with multiple jets, amazing bath. Beds are enormous and very comfortable. Good sized balcony. - Breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I've had. So many options and it is all high quality. - Pool area is relaxing. Loads of different pools and plenty of sunbeds. Kids are in the hotel but you wouldn't notice them as it is very quiet. If you are looking for a more buzzing hotel I would look elsewhere but if you want a peaceful one then this is great. - Hotel is very quiet overall. No noisy guests or sounds from bars like other hotels in the more party areas. - Cocktails were great and were reasonably priced. Cons - Spa is an added cost and it is expensive. 40 euro per person to use the thermal suite for 90 mins. - Gym looked good in the photos but I was disappointed when I saw it in person. Just a few basic machines and dumbbells that only go up to 22kg. I do not get why so many hotel gyms do not have the basics like a squat rack and pull up bar. - We only had the dinner buffet once but it didn't impress us as much as the breakfast. We went on BBQ night and the older female chef on the grill was very slow and looked as if she didn't know what she was doing. - I hate this new trend in hotels of removing basic items like an iron and ironing board. Also no toilet brushes either which I have also noticed in other hotels which is strange and can make people very uncomfortable. - There wasn't much going on in the hotel in terms of entertainment or fun. Hotel was always so quiet at night and the bar was always empty. - Location of hotel is on top of a very steep hill that leads down to the beach. If you have mobility issues you will struggle to get down and up from Duque beach. Hotel does provide a shuttle service however. All in all a great stay and my criticisms are minor ones. I would definitely come back if I got it for a similar price to what I paid this time.

Just got back from a week here and have to say what an excellent hotel it is. Firstly the grounds, they are extremely well kept with a very relaxed feel around all the pools. Loungers are very comfortable and the staff walk around to take food/ drink orders meaning you don’t have to move from loungers if you wish. There are double beds if that’s your thing.|The rooms are extremely big with the biggest bed we have stayed in. Exceptionally clean with regular towel changes and a great turndown service at night, couldn’t fault the cleaning staff.|We only stayed B&B as we prefer to go out at evening, however the breakfast was excellent with all conceivable options available. We did eat in one night and food was also excellent.|There is a spa and gym facility if you want them.|The hotel is on a hill which didn’t bother us, but may be an issue if mobility a problem.|Overall an excellent hotel where you can certainly relax and will definitely return.

Our stay at Vincci Selección La Plantación del Sur was mixed and, unfortunately, fell short of what we would expect from a five-star hotel. On arrival, there was no one available to man the door or assist with luggage, so we had to carry our bags ourselves. During the stay, housekeeping missed some basic details — for two days in a row, an empty body wash bottle was not replaced, and we had to call reception to resolve it. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. The selection was very limited for a hotel of this category, with basic items missing (such as granola), and the hot food was often lukewarm. There was no variation throughout the week, with the same options repeated daily, and replenishment of items was slow. We also tried dinner one evening. At €35 per person, the buffet felt expensive for what was offered. Again, the food was lukewarm and the selection was minimal. That said, the hotel itself is immaculately clean. Public areas, rooms, pools, and grounds were all very well maintained, and the cleanliness throughout the property was consistently high, which we appreciated. The location is also excellent. Set in a quiet and upmarket area, the hotel feels peaceful and relaxed, yet it is still within easy reach of nearby beaches, shops, and restaurants. It’s well positioned for exploring Costa Adeje while avoiding the noise and crowds. The staff were generally friendly, and one standout was Oliver. He was consistently polite, warm, and welcoming, always with a spring in his step. He took the time to interact with our 2.5-year-old toddler and even gave him a ride in the golf buggy, which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Overall, we agree with other reviews suggesting this hotel is closer to a four-star experience. It has bags of potential to be a true five-star property, but several service and quality issues currently let it down compared to other five-star hotels we have stayed in.

This hotel is a wonderful discovery in Tenerife after three times in this awesome Island. It's perfect in the fall. The facilities are excellent, the gym is well-equipped, and the morning yoga/stretching classes with Monica, Lily, and Francesca are perfect to wake up, always cheerful and joking. The entire staff is fantastic, always smiling, paying attention, and will put you in a great mood (Helllo Sara and Rikki 😁🙏) The food is delicious and varied, with no complaints about its quality or quantity. I will come back sure in this Hotel

Luxurious hotel in a perfect location. The staff is very kind and helpful. The buffet is amazing, specially the breakfast. There are also good restaurants nearby and many shops. We enjoyed the room “in the Villa”. The balcony and the terrasse are perfect for watching the sunset. It is definitely the place to stay in Costa Adeje.

My partner and I stayed at the Vincci la Plantación over the last few days (while visiting family in Tenerife). The hotel is located away from the beach (not far, but if you want beach front you should book the Bahia del Duque or the Gran Tacande). There are plenty of shops a short stroll away, please bear in mind Tenerife is a volcanic island so this is a very hilly area!. There are 6 pools I believe (2 are not heated). We just wanted a comfortable place to rest (as we would be out and about most of the time), and privacy. We booked one of the garden villas with outdoor Jacuzzi. The villa was nicely decorated, had a nice and private entrance, a walk in closet, a lovely bathroom with a big bathtub, separate toilet and separate jet and rain shower, his and hers basins. The actual bedroom had; a rather big four poster bed, (which was the most comfortable I have ever slept in), a little mini bar, Nespresso machine, selection of teas, a desk and a comfy sofa. The garden had enough space for a garden table and chairs, two sun loungers and a nice elevated structure for the outdoor Jacuzzi (which was made private with a canopy and curtains), there were also nice plants and palm trees to complete the look of our little oasis. Some of the downsides (and the reasons this place does not get five stars from me): maintenance is a bit lax (I understand with COVID having all the rooms/furniture/fittings/spa immaculate is not a priority), the spa was nice but felt not worthy of a luxurious 5 star hotel, we only got complimentary water on arrival (you cannot drink tap water in Tenerife...this is the only hotel I was not given complimentary water everyday), breakfast was the same everyday and all pastries were industrial. We had 3 spa treatments and also booked the spa circuit, the atmosphere is nice and the spa was empty from our arrival (13:45) until about 17:30, so we enjoyed the privacy very much (again maintenance and attention to detail are letting the place down a bit -we experienced broken jets, blocked water drains that flooded the thermal spa room floor). The gym is rather dated and could use with some newer equipment. On some very positive points: staff were mostly lovely, attentive and happy to help, the room service staff surprised us one night with a complementary champagne bottle and desserts (thank you Silvia). The housekeepers were always very polite and hard at work. I would most definitely stay here again, and who knows, maybe once the business has had a chance to recover after covid it may just be better than 5 stars.

Is the service at all hotels in Europe so crappy that this place is considered 5 stars? Yes, sure, it's nice, but the service is no where NEAR a 5 star level. We booked a cabana room with a hot tub on the top; however, upon arrival only one was available and it was clearly the crappiest one- it overlooked a road and a parking lot. You couldn't even see the ocean. We had mentioned it was our honeymoon in advance and requested one of the better cabana rooms, but were given one of the worst. We felt jipped. The woman at the counter clearly realized the room was shit because before we even saw it, as she offered to also show us a junior suite (same price, not an upgrade or anything). I mentioned to the woman that it seemed like we were given the absolute worst cabana and she smiled knowingly but said "there ARE worse ones" - great, good to know. We ended up picking the junior suite instead because the cabana view was so horrible. The entire reason we booked the hotel was for that rooftop tub, so we felt like why did we even come here?! We were able to move into a great cabana part-way through our stay and were very pleased, but only because they had a cancellation. We should have been in this room from the start. Also, poolside service is NON EXISTENT. We have been on many tropical vacations - Hawaii, Mexico, the Bahamas, Florida, and I have never had a worse poolside experience. They never come over to you at all to offer drinks or water or anything, you have to get up and go to the bar every time, far below the usual service experience we have had, and seems more like how a 3 star resort would behave. Additionally, they force you to wear full pants at any of the restaurant locations for dinner - REALLY, a tropical spot that doesn't allow shorts?! For me, not a big deal because I can wear dresses, but my husband did not enjoy that rule. The whole point is to relax and get away from daily life, not to have silly rules imposed on you. It's also not on the beach, which I think is a pretty big negative.
