This hotel is undeniably beautiful and clean, which made the disappointing service even more frustrating. We’ve stayed at another property in this hotel chain before and had a perfect experience, so our expectations were set on this brand.
Upon arrival, we found a family in a heated discussion with front desk staff, requiring three employees to handle one conversation. We waited 15 minutes without any acknowledgment or greeting; a basic hospitality failure.
When we finally asked to see rooms, the staff showed us nearly identical accommodations with vastly different price points and no clear justification. We requested a queen or king bed but were first shown a room with twin beds. Eventually, we settled for a smaller room at a higher price that offered less value than comparable options.
The staff seemed unresponsive to our pricing concerns. Being tired and not wanting to argue late at night, we reluctantly accepted what felt like an unfair arrangement.
The lack of service transparency, combined with poor initial hospitality, was particularly disappointing given the property’s beauty and our positive experience at their sister location.
