2 star hotel with 3 star breakfast (included), 5 star customer care (friendly and helpful staff) and 5 star location (close to river, center and attractions, walkable location). A few small changes to the room would have boosted it to 3 stars- heated towel rails for the bathroom, dinner pictures/decoration on the walls. Good value.

We stayed one night in Coimbra. The hotel is located in excellent place , walking distance to most attractions in the old city and to the river. Rooms are clean and modern and the breakfast buffet that was included in the price was great. Over all absolutely great value!!! I want to highlight the staff that was great especially Carla in the front desk that was so helpful and gave us many suggestions how to spend efficiently our stay in the city

We stayed here for four nights. The room was clean and renovated, with plenty of outlets, a decent shower, and quiet, competent air conditioning. There is also an elevator. It is small, but with luggage, it helped. The desk staff were always friendly and helpful. We paid for the breakfast twice. It was a pretty good spread. ||The location is very convenient to the train station (Coimbra-A, not Coimbra-B) and a short walk (uphill) to the center. Also, there is a self-service laundry just a few blocks away. Sometimes it was kind of loud outside because of guys hanging out--the area feels a little downtrodden. But other nights it was quiet, and we didn't have any issues with safety. Overall it was a good choice.

I was pleasantly surprised. Room. - clean and spacious. All the amenities including a kettle was available. From memory, I do not recollect a safe for your passport/ important documents. Distance - quite a bit of a hike from the university. However close to the town center. There were many eateries close by. Service - the receptionist was pleasant during check in.but we had a bit of difficulties understanding her. We did have a moment of panic when the main doors were locked after we had gone out for lunch however turned out that it was because the receptionist had gone to attend to something in the upper floors. Parking - an underground parking which is 5 minute walk from the hotel. 10 euro a day. Breakfast - very basic.

Newly renovated, very clean. Located within walking distance of numerous eating and drinking establishments. Staff very helpful but not very proficient in English, but it was worked out. Breakfast included, typical European style. Worth much higher price.

Located only 5 minutes from the Coimbra train station. Welcoming and friendly front desk. Relatively large rooms ... bright, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Kettle in room which is always welcome. Lovely breakfast with varied offerings. Easy walk from the hotel to all sites. Hotel only a 2 minute walk to the city's high street. Note that there is not a safe in the rooms to keep your valuables. Excellent hotel for a very modest cost.

I stayed with my parents at the Hotel Vitoria for 4 days and everything was wonderful! From the check-in, the quality of the rooms, the location and the breakfast. I recommend the hotel with my eyes closed. Carla was the one who welcomed us and besides being very friendly, she was extremely attentive, telling us the best tours and places to visit. In my opinion, the hotel is 5 stars!

We spent one night at the Hotel Vitoria during our trip to Portugal. The hotel is in a very convenient location near the train station, several restaurants, and within walking distance of key attractions. Despite not being that fancy, our room was very clean and reasonably priced. ||The hotel's breakfast was also good and very reasonably priced compared to other hotels we stayed in during our trip. It was fairly standard as hotel breakfasts go, but fine for our purposes.
