Hotel Vittorio Emanuele

The room was OK. No tea or coffee making facility; a very creaky bed; wash basin tap wobbly (almost detached from basin) and a bedside lamp also loose. The hotel is halfway up a steep hill in the charmingly dilapidated old town and inaccessible to our tour bus but the hotel kindly collected our cases and returned them to our bus on departure. There is also a frequent minibus on route 8 past the hotel. Having described the quite minor defects, I must praise the staff and the public areas. Everyone is polite, friendly and helpful, and the reception area, bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated and are a real art gallery. The breakfast was splendid and, as well as the usual cold meats, cheese, croissants, etc, included scrambled or poached eggs and omelette cooked on request, and a tempting range of cakes!

Excellent place to stay in Sassafras, Sardinia, Italy . Full breakfast included, clean rooms and attentive staff. Walkable to square and restaurants. Short walk to train station. Easy train to Alghero.

It’s a 3* star hotel and you get that value for the money you pay. It’s clean; shabby, breakfast offer is big, but its quality is very poor; very nice staff; good WiFi; very convenient location - walking distance to the center and close to a train/intercity bus stop.

I was very surprised by the quality of the hotel and services for the proposed price. I would definitively come back. Nice room, beutiful bathroom, everything very clean. People at the reception extremely friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast. Nothing wrong to say. Thank to Vittorio Emanuel Hotel for the services.

Good location within walking distance from/to train station. A friendly staff but wi-fi did not work during the stay. The in-room safe was also inactive and finally the copier did not work at check-in, so when the receptionist asked for permission to keep my passport, the limit for unfunctioned equipment was reached. Fix it or the 3 stars could very soon become a 2 stars hotel instead.

Hotel is more than decent and is central. We had a nice room with a balcony and the receptionist was lovely. Breakfast is good too :)

Nothing special and air conditioner was barely cold. Nice enough for the location. Sassari is a bit mmm seedy
