Hotel von Kraemer

The airco was broken, room was hot, they brought 2 fans so i could sleep , that was nice |Bathroom is outdated for a 4 star hotel , would rate it more 3 stars|Sheets were dirty , black hair on them unfortunately|I was there on business |On holiday i would not choose it |Close to the hospital and city center

I spent one night in this business hotel on Dag Hammarskjölds Väg, very close to the university and university hospital. The entrance is on a parallel street which is very convenient as taxis can avoid the busier larger street. The hotel also has a garage in the basement with paid places. The room (no. 413) was rather smart and modern. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

My wife and I stayed at the Von Kraemer hotel in Uppsala for 5 nights from the 21/12/23 as our grandson was to be baptised at Uppsala Cathedral on the 23rd. The hotel is very modern in design with the reception located on the 4th floor. The check-in process was very quick and easy and the staff member was very friendly. The room was spacious with great views across Uppsala. The beds were very comfortable with a spacious bathroom.|Although there did not appear to be many guests there was plenty of choice at breakfast and the staff members were always very friendly. We had a great time during our stay made all the more special as it was a white Christmas. I would definitely recommend the hotel Von Kraemer, it was a great base within easy walking distance to the centre, the train station and the cathedral.

Visited for lunch. Calm atmosphere. Food served in buffet style. Only one dish per day to choose from. The food was generally well cooked. But as much of the food was pre-seasoned, and not much raw veggies available, the food felt generally somewhat salty.

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting Uppsala and our grandsons christening at the cathedral. Being over Christmas the hotel was quite quiet but never the less we had a great time. The location was excellent for exploring the city.

Very basic hotel with uncomfortable beds. Otherwise the bathroom was good with no amenities.

Beautiful, simple rooms, and a wonderful restaurant made this a comfortable place to stay whilst we were visiting Uppsala. It felt like modern Sweden, and the appointments in the hotel were tasteful and minimalist. The facilities were clean, and the location was easy to get to and from, as we had a car. Breakfast was a treat.

We stayed here for 3 nights because of the proximity to Uppsala University Hospital, it was literally just a short walk away. Parking is available under the hotel for around 130 kronor for 24 hours. The rooms were comfortable and had a very large bathroom, although the bed was quite soft we slept well. I found the room warm, but because it had a French balcony I had the door open slightly during the whole stay. The rooms had TV, WiFi, hair-dryer and tea/coffee facilities.| I really appreciated the quiet atmosphere and extremely helpful staff. Many of the guests are patients and/or their relatives and they do seem to show a lot of respect and consideration. The breakfast buffe was good and offered a variety of things typical for a Swedish breakfast. We also had the evening buffé, here there was a soup, bread and a variety of cold dishes such as salmon, prosciutto, salami,olives, salads and a warm dish.It was very easy to eat at the hotel after a long day. There is a huge terace on the top floor which would be lovely in spring/summer, but a bit chilly when I was there. I can definitely recommend Kraemer:)

Hotel von Kraemer is a recently opened hotel close to the hospital in Uppsala and about 5 min walk from the castle. I have not stayed in the hotel myself, but a friend of mine did he was very satisfied. The hotel also has a roof-top terras with a great restaurant for lunch and dinner. We went for lunch and I tasted the fired salmon with Swedish potato sallad. The food was excellent with the salmon just cooked long enough. In addition to the good food you can also enjoy a magnificent view over the city's south side from the roof-top terras while you are eating. Take a look yourself!
