Hotel Voramar

Start with the two positives, Anna on reception was very professional, friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location right on the beach.|Our room, 106, was downstairs, on the ground floor. First, having descended in the lift, there was no sign showing where to find our room. The area of these few rooms looked, felt and smelled as though they had been recently refreshed; one room still had the workers in. Our outer shutters were very difficult to close and then even more difficult to open, they need adjusting. The inner glass doors sometimes locked and sometimes did not, more adjustment needed. The shower room door would not latch and remain closed, more adjustment. The mirror had not been properly cleaned. |In the restaurant for dinner our pleasant waiter, Ivan, took my starter plate away as soon as I had finished and did not wait for my wife to finish hers. Even worse, he then brought my main course whilst my wife was still eating her starter. Our food was just about ok but nothing was hot, only luke warm. My roasted cauliflower was, in part, very cold.|It then became clear why the rush a large party of guests arrived and all of the attention was given to them.|This is, potentially, a great hotel but needs much more attention to the essential details to warrant another stay. We were disappointed. .

This review is about the cafe at the hotel and not about the hotel itself. This is one of my very favorite places to go for a breakfast or for a drink. However, I don't appreciate when they try to rip people off. Recently, I went with a friend for a nice breakfast by the beach. I ordered a toast with "jamón ibérico" (higher quality than the regular jamón, and hence more expensive) and what they gave me was regular jamón. I mentioned to the server that this was not was it was published on the menú and neither what I had ordened. He said he was going to check it and came back saying that this was "jamón ibérico." I know too well the difference between the two types, so I told him that I disagreed. Anyhow, I ended it up paying for the most expensive jamón (ham) while getting the regular one. And I don't appreciate when they treat customers this way 😕

The staff were lovely, room comfortable but could do with being updated. Breakfast disappointing, not much choice and was not kept warm. Views fantastic from breakfast room. That being said would recommend a stay here as great location and staff.

This hotel is a gem. Right on the beach. Many rooms have very nice sea-view balconies (make sure to check when you book). Staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel allows pets, but only in outdoor areas for the restaurant and café. The cafeteria, overlooking the sea, serves simpler but still delicious and modestly priced dishes. The town and the beach are wonderful. Beach allows dogs from 1 Nov. to 31 March. We keep coming back here. Unmissable.

What a lovely site and a lovely experience. The food was fantastic, the view was gorgeous, the room was perfectly clean and had all the features I wanted. I want to come back!

Once again a memorable stay for all the right reasons. Staff are always helpful, the food and location are superb.

Great location right on the beach. It’s at one end of the promenade so is a little distant from other restaurants etc. There is an attached cafe/bar which is very popular with locals so it can be busy at times and the parking outside a bit chaotic. However there is garage parking for hotel guests across the road with spaces for around 20 cars. Comfortable rooms, good buffet breakfast which is not just a typical Continental breakfast as bacon, scrambled and fried eggs were available.

Beautiful hotel right by the sea, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the location is perfect for relaxing. A wonderful place to stay in Benicasim.
