Hôtel VoulezVous by Les Etincelles

First time in Tignes, really enjoyed this hotel. It is new and clean with exceptional staff and attention to guests. Indeed, it´s not ski-in ski-out, but doeable, not that long of the walk to the main lifts (with a snowboard, probably even easier with Skis). I had one concern about the breakfast that I voiced as part of the mid-stay survey - and my concern was addressed literally the next morning! That’s a true 5* hospitality. Dinners were good, Christmas dinner - very special and unique. Indeed, sometimes service was quicker, sometimes slower, but that didn’t spoil our overall experience. (my suggestion to the people leaving negative reviews, don’t wait until the end of your stay, it’s very possible hotel management can make it right to you while you are there).

We loved staying here at the Hotel VoulezVous in Tignes Le Lac. |It is a modern hotel with a cosy fire place and lobby area, as well as a terrace overlooking the slopes, so you can watch the skiers coming in at the end of the day. We booked a cosy room which was exactly that, cosy for two people but perfect for us. Great shower with plenty of hot water. |There is also a pool, sauna, hamman and hot tub (it could be a little hotter), it can get busy at the end of the day but that’s to be expected. Breakfast options are plentiful and eggs can be ordered a la carte. |The hotel can also arrange your ski passes to be picked up on arrival, save having to go your first ski morning and organise them. They can also organise ski school or guides. We used a different company (Oxygene which were superb!) but I’m sure the one they use is equally great |Fantastic ski room below for ski rental, storing and keeping boots warm, and an area to put boots on etc. There’s also a small ski shop upstairs, and after a long day they were happy for you to take your boots off on the bench there and take your ski boots down for you. |The location couldn’t be better, especially for the slopes - so easy! Not even a 1 minute walk to a cat track which took you down to a ski lift and the ski school area, or the magic carpet to the lift centre area (1 minute away). We SO loved the convenience of it all! |However what really stood out was the friendly service. Everyone at the hotel was always friendly, polite and helpful. Special mention must go to the guys helping with skis every day-Alexi, Cocoa, Quentin (apologies if I’ve missed anyone) - they were brilliant, always accommodating and great to have a laugh with! Also thank you to Jennifer in the breakfast area who was also always so friendly and helpful to any requests. Finally the guys that helped us with our luggage and shuttle service were also incredibly friendly (sorry I've forgotten names).|We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely love to return one day! 😊

This is the third time we stayed in this hotel. The rooms are spacious and very nice. We had a room with a nice view of the slopes although I imagine not all of them have this view, thank you Marion ! The service is excellent and everybody is very helpful. One thing though is not ok and that is the breakfast. Three years ago when staying there the first time, we already noticed that the restaurant is below level. Then we had half board which we gave up after two evenings. It is strange that such an excellent 5 star hotel has such a mediocre restaurant service. Also there is no real bar, only a walk through lobby where drinks are served but in the evening there is loud unpleasant music. The barmen though are very professional. As a whole, the place lacks management to my opinion. Really a pity.

The Voulezvous ticks alot of boxes for what you want in a skiing hotel. The experience is high-quality, yet relaxed - and perfectly set up to enable you to have a great skiing holiday. ||Compared to my previous stay a few years ago, the biggest improvement was in the dinner offering. I've often come to expect the odd hickup when skiing in the first week of the new season, but there was very little to fault across every night of the stay. ||While I enjoy travelling to different ski resorts to experience all that the Alps has to offer, the Voulezvous is one of the few hotels that I've gone back to - and based upon my recent experience, I fully expect to return again.

First impressions were good, all of the staff we had encounters with were brilliant. We were there on a bed and breakfast basis. We only had one evening meal in the restaurant and found it poor. The meal was cold and the replacement was also cold. Breakfast was disappointing each morning, lack of variety, poor quality produce and slow service when requesting freshly cooked eggs etc. Breakfast is very important when you have a day of skiing ahead. We also found the location rather difficult, if you’re expecting ‘ski in, ski out’ then look elsewhere. Whilst not so difficult for adults, with young children (we have a seven year old) the access to and from the slopes is a chore! There is no easy access to the village centre either. The hotel lounge is also rather soulless, some evening entertainment was provided, however so few guests were in attendance that it all felt abit pointless. On the plus side, the rooms are spacious and light (we felt the bedding was overly hot, but this could be a personal thing), the pool/ hot tub are a nice addition, especially with children and the staff are great. Underground parking for us was very useful as we had driven from England.

Had a brilliant week here. Fabulous hotel, with well-trained staff offering ready smiles and high levels of service. ||Location was ideal, a mere hundred metres or so from the slopes, so ski in-ski out in all but name.||Our room was spacious with lighting, fittings, decor etc. all of high quality. The only issue in the room was intermittent wi-fi.||Excellent breakfast with an extensive choice, including several freshly cooked options.||Evening meals were mainly of a very high standard but let down on a couple of occasions by tough/chewy meat courses. Vegetables appeared to be a bit of an afterthought and served in tiny portions, especially when compared to the often enormous quantities of meat. Do not expect to see a green vegetable during your stay.||The staff absolutely make this hotel one of the best we've had the pleasure to stay in. Far too many to mention by name, but special kudos must go to our favourite waitress, Ines, and Quentin in the attached ski shop - both lovely people offering an even higher level of service and professionalism. ||We hope to return next year.

Quality newly built/refurbished hotel. Great spa, good food and lovely English speaking staff. Spacious comfortable rooms, with excellent bathrooms and storage space. Ski shop on site. Good value for money in a premier ski resort.

Our stay at Hotel VoulezVous was great. If you are looking for a hotel with a modern feel and very close to the ski slopes, this one is a great pick. The staff was friendly and responsive, our room was refreshed twice daily, and the hotel restaurant provided a good breakfast and dinner daily. I would definitely stay here again!
