My wife and I spent 4 nights at Hotel Vova Carolina where we shared a double bed which occupied most of the apartment space (hotel rooms are termed apartments in Brazil) with room for our valises on the floor in the corner of the room, around which we had to gingerly step to access the toilet facility. The room was clean and compact with a bathroom facility large enough for one. Breakfasts were the highlight, with a wealth of freshly baked cakes to tempt any lover of sweets. In addition to these daily delectables were eggs, faux omelettes, a wide variety of fresh fruits, sliced meats and cheeses, and fresh breads. What more could anyone want to begin a day in Gramados? Maybe, a little larger room more reminiscent of accommodation in Spain rather than France, decorated in a central European, German decor.
