Loved it! The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is lovely and very central. You can walk (or ride) to everything, and if it's too far to walk or ride you get free bus transit as a hotel guest. The breakfast buffet was amazing every day and the restaurant is great. Beautiful indoor pool with lots of room for both adults and kids, a spa for adults, and lots of fun things for kids to do with movie nights and mini golf. There's also a very comfortable and spacious common sitting area with food service and a bar, but space for families to relax and play cards or board games. It was honestly the perfect hotel.

Hotel definitely lived up to expectations. Executive triple room was perfect for 1 adult and two teens and had a nice view. Excellent service especially from those at the reception. Always willing to help. Saunas and pool area were lovely and minigolf with a view was great too. Delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pros: - Cosy atmosphere throughout. - Very tidy and clean throughout. - Two single beds for extra room with two duvets. - Mini golf, games room, swimming pool, loads of saunas. - 24/7 reception, friendly staff. - Free upgrade. - Great view from room of the mountains. - Great breakfast. Cons: - There was no mention at all that parking was charged, when checking in. It was a complete surprise that I had to pay for the parking when checking out - very, very bad! Expensive too. - Some breakfast staff not as friendly. - No lifeguard or supervision in the pool, meaning some guests were misbehaving in the pool, causing a less relaxing environment, considering it was a "spa pool". - One hole on the golf course was not flat. Surface could be wiped down after rain. - Underground parking garage door did not close, compromising security.

Great family-hotel! We stayed for 4 nights with our 2 little boys (3 and 5 years old) who loved the swimming pool, kids club and mini golf. The weather wasn't great, but luckily there were plenty of activities for the kids to entertain ourselves. We also loved the spa, which was very clean and modern.||Staff was very friendly and accomodating, we booked a junior suite and were upgraded to a senior suite, which was a huge comfortable 2- bedroom suite. They were also very helpful with our kids. Overall a great place to stay with or without kids

We had a wonderful Easter break in 2025 as a family of three at this lovely hotel! The rooms were very comfortable, spotless, and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The location is perfect—quiet yet within easy walking distance to the town center. The service was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Our child especially enjoyed the playground and the mini golf area—such a great touch for families! Also, very thoughtfully crafted Eater hunt activities. All in all, a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. We would definitely love to come back!

Can’t say enough good things. We spent a week here and are so keen to go back again. The foundation is the staff; incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling and positive, we felt like in a family run business. The rooms are beautiful, large and even better than advertised. The range of activities for us (family with 2 kids aged 6, 10), was phenomenal. In addition to all that Davos and the surroundings have to offer, we tried in the hotel the club room (table tennis, table football), the kids room, the mini golf, the pool (many times!), the gym (which is above average for Swiss hotels). The breakfast is way above average, so many choices and such nice staff working there too. Can’t really say it in enough ways, but for a low key family getaway, with lots to see and do and a super chilled and welcoming atmosphere, this place is perfect.

We had an amazing stay at the Walduus in Davos! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help. A special thank you to Emma, who welcomed us with her big smile, helped us with everything we needed, and even arranged our train journey back—she is a star! Thanks also to Oliver for his excellent local recommendations, Rocio and Mandy for their kind support, and Moritz for driving us daily with such kindness and positivity. His kindness, humility, and willingness to help with anything we needed really stood out. His warm smile and positivity made each day a joy. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and had stunning mountain views. The location is perfect—peaceful yet just a short walk from the town, restaurants, and cafés. We also loved the swimming pool and spa facilities, which were excellent for relaxing after a busy day. Breakfast was always fresh, varied, and served by a friendly team who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Overall, this was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had—wonderful staff, great facilities, and true Swiss hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Amazing staff! Great rooms and location. Super clean. Breakfast is awesome too. The only slightly irritating thing is the $18 / day parking charge.

Yelp
The loveliest hotel experience we have ever had. This year we decided to try a different 4 star hotel due to proximity to the lifts but we have very much longed after Waldhuus basically every day. They welcomed us by name and left the sweetest gift on my boyfriend's birthday. They really went above and beyond! +Cooked to order breakfast +Friendly staff they almost all spoke German and English +Amazing Sauna +Ski shuttle that was always on time

Yelp
The Waldhuus is located a little ways by foot from town and ski lifts, but public transportation is fairly reliable. However, we enjoyed our room with a view of the cross country skiing run and Alps in the distance on clear days. The downstairs pool with the sunroof was small, yet magically illuminated in the dead of winter. The front desk was very efficient and helpful in setting up sleigh rides and in terms of advice on whether it was a good day to ski vs sled down Schatzalp. We enjoyed the Christmas Eve caroling and outdoor snow bar along with traditional wieners and gluwein all near a nice bonfire.

Yelp
This review is for the restaurant only as I did not stay at the hotel. I almost did not eat at the restaurant either when I saw the big Sheraton sign on the wall as I do not usually like to eat at chains especially international chains. Since a local had recommended the restaurant at the Waldhuus hotel, though, I gave it a try and could not have been happier. First of all, it had an authentic Swiss atmosphere and nothing that said generic chain. When we were seated, I was happy to see a whole page on the menu listing the sources of their meats, produce and other ingredients. I was also happy to see the beef listed as organic on at least one entree. The staff were very nice and attentive and pointed out the special seasonal "wild menu". While the venison did not interest me as a vegetarian, I liked the sounds of the mushroom ravioli with brussels sprouts and cranberries. Since my dinner companion ordered a salad to start, I was persuaded to do the same. Both salads were beautiful and I loved the fresh mixed greens in mine together with ample shredded carrots, toasted pumpkin seeds and other treats all topped with a delicious house mustard vinaigrette. The ravioli was even more pleasing, especially since some of the mushrooms were chanterelles foraged from the local forest. What a delightful surprise after my hike in the forest earlier in the day! I regret that I was too full for dessert as I am sure that would have been outstanding too. Even the salt and pepper grinders on the table had high quality pink rock salt and peppercorns. And just when I thought it could not get any better, the waitress brought a delicious little chocolate made at a local bakery for each of us along with a vial of salt mixed with local herbs to take home as a souvenir. It was just one happy surprise after another. The only place I wasn't happily surprised was the price, which was pricey by my standards but well worth it and not more than other restaurants in Davos.
