Hotel Waldorf (Milano Marittima, Emilia Romagna) 3 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"This isn’t grey postwar Milan, but sunny seaside Milano Marittima, on the Adriatic Riviera along the east coast of Emilia-Romagna. Here the Design Hotel Waldorf sits just yards from the beach, showing off a different side of Italy, that of the sun-drenched tropical escape. It’s on the outskirts of Cervia, perfectly positioned between the monuments of Ravenna and the oceanside excess of Rimini, sharing the same holiday-friendly weather but with quite a lot less cookie-cutter beach-club development." - Tablet Hotels

What a disappointment for a 5 star luxury hotel! |Unfortunately the hotel is way over rated. Definitely not a 5 star hotel both for the room maintenance, most of the staff (except at the bar or Madesh at the beach). Nor the food quality at the restaurant.||Breakfast is good and with an average plus quality. Staff was nice. Room is decorated as 70’s with orange atmosphere, that isn’t really giving you a feeling of being in a 5 start hotel but more a 3 star.|Though the view to the beach is beautiful.||The hotel need a refresher. A lot of stuff were broken in our room. Despite we had a suite. |Firstly, the Handel door stated in my hand! Then WC lead was also broken. Then we had a Jacuzzi on our balcony ( the touch screen was broken and there the handy man needed to manually put it on and an manually change the temperature) the shower outside had also bits and piece broken).||The restaurant quality of food was as good as a motorway restaurant ( club sandwich and Cesar salad were maybe)||The staff were overall nice but I had the feeling that they hired at the front desk out of uni none experienced people. We have call the front desk as the housekeepers forgot to give us some towels. The front desk staff just transferred our call to housekeeping saying that the person speak Spanish so we can speak directly to her. ||So overall great size of the room! Average hotel so escort a 3 to 4 star hotel but definitely not a 5 star. If you are searching for a real 5 star pass your way.

My husband and I stayed for 5-nights in late-May and purchased a packaged that included half-board and amenities at the beach (2-chairs and an umbrella). We stayed in a "JUNIOR SUITE ELEGANCE" room that had a partial ocean view. The terrace was amazing and was by far the best part of the room. The bed was very comfortable, the sitting area was fine, and the bathroom came with a jetted tub (that we never used). The shower is a bit narrow, even for a 5'3" 120lb person like myself but it wasn't a big deal. It has good water pressure and it was hot. The room comes with a safe, small TV, desk area, and bathrobes.||||The hotel rooms are a bit dated, but the common areas seem new. And everywhere is kept very clean. The wi-fi was good, not great, and drops out but comes back. There's no wi-fi at the beach at all. The daily room service was completely hit or miss, likely due to the season but they never did the same thing twice. With the exception of bringing new towels every time they came into the room.||||The beach service was great! We took our voucher over on our first day and never had to show it again. The gentleman managing the area took great care to show us to our reserved umbrella and chairs, then provided us with beach towels each day. We ate lunch at the beach restaurant several times and it was great. Fast, good service and decent food!||||The breakfast buffet was really good each day, except you had to order coffee or hot tea. But even that was great! They can make you whatever kind of coffee, latte macchiato, cappuccino, espresso, etc. The only knock I have on the breakfast buffet was that they fresh fruit was getting a little old on our last day and the berries had some mold. ||||The dining room opened for the season on the day we arrived and it was a luxurious experience. There was a new menu each day with several options for each of the four courses. Usually, when a hotel offers a great deal on half-board, I expect the food to be just so-so but the Le Settima restaurant did a great job. Clearly, the staff was still being trained but they were all very friendly and working very hard to meet every need. And they did meet every need I could come up with. The food was a bit slow (2-3hrs for dinner) but I think that's more of the style than a reflection on the ability of the chef and kitchen. ||||Overall, we had a great relaxing staff and if we were in the area again and could get a great deal again we would come back.

After walking out of hotel we origianally booked in disgust where front of house were rude and unhelpful it was so refreshing as to how welcome front of house made us feel when we enquired about staying at Waldorf Hotel. Although standard room, the room is beautiful. Bathroom is huge with jet shower, Jacuzzi, etc. Room itself is also big with lovely veranda which looks out on the with a seaview on the side. All the staff are so friendly and because of the bad experience we had in other hotel they felt sorry for us and send us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine with strawberries to our room. Restaurant food in hotel is fantastic. Breakfast is all you would expect in a 5 star hotel. A truly exceptional experience.

Very good hotel , was staying in junior sweet , very nice professional stuff, not bad breakfast included. We are beach people but beach there dark sanded, water not clear and very bad smell(from very little shells when they die from sun). Beach umbrella and 3 chairs cost us for second row about 35 euro a day , not cheap , usually in 5 start hotel its included. ||Also drinks in the hotel bar around 20 euro ! I think its a little to much. They have free WiFi with very light speed which working only next to the hotel , very slow on the pool area and not working on the beach at all ! ||My opinion its not worth to pay that much 2700 euro for 7 days for this hotel in this area especially for the beach !!! 1 start removed for the beach , another star for umbrella and chairs not included , and WIFI sucks .

We went to the Hotel Wadorf's Premier Palm Beach restaurant for lunch. The manager, Franko, was excellent. He delivered great service to us and all guests. He made sure that every guest was catered for based on their personal preferences and character. He recommended wines which we enjoyed immensely, made sure gluten free bread and cake were on the table and we had great fun! All this while he was training the other younger waiters and waitresses who were providing good service but don't have Franko's experience. We ended up going back on four consecutive occasion for lunch!||Franko recommended the Waldorf's Settima restaurant as it was suitable for a formal dinner to celebrate my birthday. The setting, food and wine were all great.||We recommend everyone to go to Premier Palm beach restaurant and bar to meet Franko and have a great time.||Grazie Franko, long live 80s music and Studio 54!||David & Lindsey

We decided to take a drink at the Waldorf to have a first opinion on this hotel. When we arrived we are going directly to the bar close to the beach. 5 minute after our arrival a woman came to ask them what we are doing there ? We visit and stayed in lot of 5 stars hotel and it is really the first time we have such inappropriate reception from a staff! It is like they make them a favor to allow us to take a drink!!!! At the beginning idea was also to have a look in suite to book one for an event but the idea disappeared with this bulldog woman. Finally we will visit another 5 stars hotel on the coast!!!! Sorry to not provided information on the room but the staff not allow us to go up the end if our idea!!!!! My recommendation: to avoid!!!!!
