Romantik Hotel Walhalla (Osnabrück, Lower Saxony) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"An ensemble of historic buildings in the middle of the old town. Rooms range from classic to sleek and modern. Good-quality sauna facilities (also massage treatments) as well as the David Lounge, a light airy conservatory with access to the inner courtyard. Located in the adjacent building, the trendy Olle Use EssBar specialises in dishes to share." - Tablet Hotels

Stayed for two night on a biz trip. Had the deluxe room. Very generous size and huge bathrooms. On site parking was great. Breakfast was delicious with heaps of options. Had dinner in the restaurant one night / also very good. Great hotel right in the old town.

We were there from 13th til 18th August. Beautiful hotel. The room was comfortable and cosy, the only downside of it being an old building, was no air-conditioning, but there was a tower fan in our room, so that helped. Bar staff were very pleasant, as were the restaurant staff. The meals were delicious and the breakfasts set you up for the day. All the staff were friendly, from Reception desk to the chamber maids. We were greeted by anybody we passed as we walked round the hotel or outside of it. Reception enquired as to whether our stay had been a good one when we left, and even booked a taxi to take us to the train station. I would most definitely recommend and would love to return again in the future.

We were ‘walk-in’ customers, whilst on our way from Sweden to Austria by car. |We were first given a room at G/F level, tue room access was via the restaurant courtyard - nice room BUT suddenly having FOURTEEN (14) noisy people seated immediately in front of our room door is outrageous ! |We asked for a room change and were moved to a 1/F level room: given the ambient warm temperatures and zero ventilation in the room, we opened the window only to have to listen to some staff members talking loudly nonstop - this at 11 pm !!! |We did have an excellent dinner at the hotel restaurant - unfortunately our waiter had this drama-attitude - acting like a robot, talking to customers as if they are a burden - rather than him being aware that it us who enable him to have a salary - to add insult to injury - that-man didn’t even have the common garden courtesy of saying ‘thank you’ when given a nice tip. |Thee is nothing ‘romantic’ about this hotel - the hardware is ok - it is the staff attitude that leaves a lot to be desired: cold, arrogant and with a very Teutonic attitude

wonderful boutique hotel in a perfect central location. Attractive, comfortable, spotlessly clean room and welcoming friendly staff throughout our stay. Breakfast and restuarants were fabulous and of a high standard and plenty of choice. Thank you so much for making our stay with friends and family so special! Definitely a hotel to recommend!

We came upon this town and hotel completely by accident. Deciding to stay off the autobahn and explore Germany through the windey side roads, we pulled into Osnabrück and were immediately attracted to this beautiful ancient hotel in Altstadt (old Town). When I inquired if they had a room, they did, and I was delighted with the rate. But we were completely shocked when we arrived at our beautiful and spacious room. At that point I was disappointed we were only staying one night. The room had everything needed for a beautiful stay, including a fully stocked bar fridge. There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room, but the staff accommodated us with a kettle for use in the evening. The restaurant offered breakfast at an additional cost of €20, which we did not take as we wanted to explore. The old town is absolutely beautiful for walking, shopping, and sightseeing. We parked down the road in an underground for €15. Valet Parking was available under the hotel, which was more expensive and we had already parked. All of the staff were extremely friendly. You do need to mount some stairs to get to the elevator, so keep that in mind. And yes, there was some street noise early in the morning from contractors. I’m surprised at how early they are allowed to work! We did find that noisy, but it is not in the control of the hotel. Bed was super comfortable. All in all, we absolutely loved it here and wished we had stayed longer.

Beautiful old building in the centre of town. This was our second visit. We had a lovely, very comfortable room and the breakfasts are excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are some great restaurants and cafes in Osnabrück, which are easily accessible from the hotel. We look forward to returning!

Fantastic German food with great presentation and superior taste. Here you can taste authentic but modern and beautified version of German cuisine in the cost and classy restaurant settings. It’s located in the old city part inside the over-100-year-old building. It has stunning façade. Coming here will delight you with various meat choices with awesome potato side dishes. Desserts taste wonderful as well. Portions are smaller than street restaurants but can fulfill you. Great services. Nice for special occasions.

Nice modern touch of an older building, big room with large bathroom. Room 222 is facing a busy alley way so avoid if you want a quiet room. The pleasant late summer heat wave in northern Europe was less comfy in the room because of lack of AC or a fan. Good wi-fi. Breakfast was plenty and good and served in a beautiful room. The hotel has its own garage in the basement.
