After a disappointing experience elsewhere, we walked across the road to the Hotel Warrnambool, even though the bar and bistro were absolutely packed and fully booked for the night. We honestly didn’t expect to get a table. Despite this, the staff in the Bistro were incredibly welcoming. The person handling reservations asked how many were in our party, and when we said two, she went out of her way to make it work. She pulled a couple of tables apart to fit us in, and we were so grateful, especially since we were on a tight schedule before a concert. The entire experience was wonderful. The service was warm and attentive, the food was absolutely delicious, and the wine was perfect. What started as a stressful night turned into a lovely one thanks to their outstanding hospitality. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend.

Forget the boring RSL, forget going to the premix king and drinking in your accommodation…get down to the Warrnambool Hotel for a meal and a drink! You will not regret it! Staff are attentive and you have to wait too long to get a drink, meals were well priced & came out quick, the atmosphere is lively but relaxed and the interior design suits the old building perfectly. I recommend the Beef Burger and recommend getting there early especially on Saturday nights because the place fills up quickly.

My wife and I always make sure we at least have a lunch or dinner at the hotel each time we are in Warrnambool. Beautiful classical ornate hotel with a great vibe offering great meals and beverages to the patrons The have very friendly staff to assist and serve you We had a great light lunch before we head home to Melbourne after 4 days vacation in Warrnambool. Great place to catch up with friends and have good food, or even have a private party in one of the private rooms. The food was alright, the wine really good. The staff are always friendly, so definitely worth a stop.

We stopped at the Warrnambool hotel for dinner on a friday night. Without doubt one of the best places we have eaten in a long while. Proper old fashioned table service. None of the QR code rubbish and ordering from your phone. An actual person showed us to our seats and the same person looked after us all night. Explaining the specials, making recommendations,. taking our drinks order and offering advise on the superb cocktails and finally serving our meals and deserts. I wish I could remember the ladies name, i'm sorry. My only very very very small change I would make, is to have the bill delivered and paid at the table. Like it used to be. Not having to pay at the bar on the way out. At least that way when I leave a tip I know it'll go to the member of staff that earned it. Thank you for some amazing food and we will be returning every time we visit warnnambool.

The hotel room looked like Victorian style. The rooms were neat and tidy. There are other restaurants nearby. We didn't get parking so we had to park on the kerbside.

Went for lunch and the food was great. I ordered a pizza and it came out quickly and was delicious. Filled by a sticky date pudding. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great place for a meal.

Yelp
This is a lovely looking pub with a nice atmosphere. The restaurant part looks great but we sat in the pub part as we hadn't booked. The pub was really cosy and it was very busy for a Wednesday night. They have a good selection of beer (priced like Melbourne based on what we had) and the staff was lovely. We both had a steak from the restaurant and it was delish. It would have gotten an even higher mark if the potato wasn't half cooked. Next time in town is come back.

Yelp
A cozy welcoming restaurant with British touch. A fireplace makes the restaurant warm. The waitress was friendly and supportive. After a long day on the great ocean road a good place to be. I had the potato soup, a huge bowl of. It was tasty and made the belly warm. It would be enough as main meal. As main course we both ate a special pizza baked in the wood oven. The pizza was extremely delicious. If you're on the way trough Warrnambool I really can recommend it.

Yelp
What can I say - I love this place. After wandering around Warrnambool on Easter Saturday night checking out all of the watering holes, this place turned out to be the place that I ended up sitting myself down and spending the rest of the night. I reminded me of one of those really cool inner city pubs you find in Melbourne, only it's in Warrnambool. It certainly appeals to the younger crowd, but I never felt out of place here, and the tunes they pumped out were nothing short of awesome. In fact I loved the place so much I dragged my friend back the next day to discover that they also have live music. Oh, they also have a pretty decent selection of craft beer on tap, as well as a nice array of wine. Definitely a place to visit if you are looking for a nightspot in Warrnambool.

Yelp
Having just arrived in Warrnambool (from Adelaide) for a few days, we were looking for an easy, nice feed and therefore we looked for a hotel bistro. First impressions were very good, a step above a normal pub meal, even a little too good as we were still in our travelling casuals; however we stayed - and we are glad we did. Our Gluten Free and allergy complicated daughter was offered a GF wood oven pizza, for her this is a real treat. The staff did a great job checking that everything was allergy friendly - they even delivered a piece of gluten free bread when they served bread to the table - a first, our daughter would normally miss out! The GF pizza was nice, the rest of the meals were very nice and the staff fantastic. Well done!

Yelp
Upon recommendation from our hotel staff at the Deep Blue, we drove over for a few pints and a local experience. Only being in the area for one night, we wanted to go into the busier area from our hotel. The weather was unbelievably cold for October, but we didn't think it would that difficult to walk the main restaurant area in downtown.. We found the Hotel Warrnambool with no issues and there was plenty of street parking. Walking in, the bar area is pretty massive. High ceilings, long bar, sofas and tables all over vying for you to grab a pint, take a seat and stay a while. We checked the local beer offerings since this is what was suggested. Why drink Amstel when you can get that everywhere in the world?...drink craft beer whenever and where ever possible. Plus it supports the local economy. We found 2 we liked and relaxed for an hour or so. The place has a lot of character and charm. There were plenty of televisions to enjoy rugby or footy or whatever was on. We saw a pool table, but it was occupied the whole time we were there. Everyone was beyond friendly and no hesitant about striking up a conversation. We had a great time and would suggest you stop here if in Warrnambool.

Yelp
Had a great steak here last night from the restaurant menu which was great so I came back for a fish and chip lunch from the bar menu. The fish (Hake) was beautifully cooked and batter crispy. The chips were good too. I washed it down with a pint of Holgate ESB from the hand pump. This was probably the most English lunch I've had in ages!

Yelp
Located in the city centre of Warrnambool, a reliable option for a business lunch in a dining room setting. Typical pub dining room lunch menu with some prices veering towards Melbourne prices, which I always find amusing in the country. Dinner menu prices are especially Melbourne-ish. Service is friendly and relatively efficient. Ambiance is somewhat lacking and your enjoyment will be reliant upon who you are dining with. There are no beach views here. The blue grenadier and fish of the day were sold out by the time we ordered at 1pm which I thought odd considering the dining room was less than half full. The food (think stir fry, flake and chips, wood fired pizzas) is totally fine and all plates are returned mostly empty. The dessert menu, presented on a blackboard, is quite extensive for a pub covering the usual suspects - cheesecake, crumbles, pavlova and the much favoured sticky date pudding. Nothing amazing but will satisfy a craving for something sweet, prices around $12. In short, this is a perfectly serviceable place to have lunch with colleagues and given that it was recommended to me by locals I presume it must be one of Warrnambool's better dining choices.

Yelp
Service was good and prompt. My wife ordered the seafood linguini and I had the grilled flake. Both dishes were satisfying and reasonably price. The venue was full and noise levels were high. Wine menu is limited and a little pricey per glass, but on the positive their not shy oh filling the glass. Enjoyable evening

Yelp
Nice, friendly pub in the heart of Warrnambool. A great selection of beers on tap and generous food. The bar is decorated in a modern American Saloon style, creating a unique and casual environment. I'd go back again.
