Hotel Wassilioff

Atmosphérique and highly recommended stay. Unique oceanfront historical hotel in a cozy coastal town with splendid sightseeing views and nature all around. The fortifications and garnison church is well preserved. Several galleries in town. Archeological excavations nearby, local guide recommended to tell the history of the areas strategic place in history from Viking age, ruling by the king of Denmark and the naval and military significance of this town of the fortress. Plus for very clean streets surrounding the beautiful hotel and town in general. One potential area to upgrade in the hotel is the library, with books in a variety of languages. I also recommend the local history books implemented as well as many with connections to the area also frequently use the hotel for social events.

Nice cosy rooms with good beds in this charming hotel with good energy. |An extra plus for Rituals products in the bathroom. Great location in beautiful Stavern.|All the food was excellent. Very friendly staff with good humour. I will be happy to go there again.

Everything top notch. Could not be better. It is second year in roe I stay in your Hotel for a meeting in Stavern, and this time it was also to my satisfactio - both rom and breakefast. I will definatly use Wassilioff also next year. So, keep up the good work.

We enjoyed our second time having a nice weekend at Wassilioff! We were part of a family and friends celebration and love the quaint and cool furniture at this hotel. The staff are polite and accommodating and the hotel is situated next to the sea. We enjoyed a very nice room overlooking the beach. We were lucky to have great weather when we woke up on Sunday and looked out before having a lovely buffet breakfast by the windows of the restaurant, also looking out at the beach. The food is great, so this hotel is something to check out!

It’s an old hotell, so I’m not surprised that the rooms are not sound proof. However I could easily hear the neighbors talk to each other, which was not very ideal for a good nights sleep. The bed was good (pretty soft though, so more than 2 nights would not work for me), pillow was not good (way to soft, lack of texture and support). The bathroom for the single room was impressively small in size, and I could not sit properly on the toilet without having my thighs and legs out to one side (almost out the door because it was no room for them towards the opposed wall). Good hotel breakfast! Amazing location.

Yes, the hotel is fairly old, and could do with a bit of redecoration, but it is honest about what it is and what it provides; A unique experience in historic settings. And the dinner we had - absolutely fabulous!||And that location, combined with a gorgeous entrance - well worth it.

It’s a nice hotel in Stavern. They also offer a fantastic buffet every Sunday, except on some special holidays. It costs kr.395 per person with one drink of your choice. It’s worth it. Some seafood, fish, meat, salads, desserts and coffee or tea. Delicious food and nice service.
