Great hotel with a cosy lobby and a small garden. The hotel is situated in a quiet street. The beds are comfortable and you can sleep with the windows open. The staff is friendly, hospitable. The hotel is very clean with hygienic use of materials.

Beautiful bedrooms, large and comfortable. Quite a good breakfast. Good location, possible to sit outside under the trees. Nice library just beside the reception. If the position is good depends on why are you in Hamburg

very conveniently situated once you travel by train, only 10‘ walk from and to central station, 9m2 single rooms can be recommended, you do not need more space, good quality beds and super clean. Friendly staff and inviting breakfast buffet that is well worth the extra price of 21€.

We stayed here for a week during our trip to Hamburg. The location is great, train and bus super close. The staff is very friendly, helpful and a very sweet team. We enjoyed the breakfast and lunch, a wonderful experience. The cleaning staff was incredible, we always had fresh towels everyday and the bed was perfect. The only thing is the room is a bit dark with no overhead lights, made it a bit difficult to see during the winter month. But everything else was superb and definitely recommend this hotel for your visit.

Make 100% sure that you book a room that is facing the internal courtyard, if you decide to stay at his hotel. We were given a street facing room, and were unable to sleep during both nights due to the street noise all night. (Loud yelling until 4 am both nights by party goers right in front of the hotel, cars honking etc. From 6 am loud trash disposal, banging on trash cans, right in front of our window). Maybe this would be a smaller issue during winter, but in the summer, you have to keep the windows open all night, as the room is VERY small and has zero ventilation. Even with windows open it was 30 degrees in the room. We were so exhausted after the 2nd sleepless night, we could hardly wait to check-out. Had I known that we will be put in ground floor, street facing room - I would have never booked this hotel. On the positive side: The location is great. 10 minutes walk from the Central Train station, 5 minutes walk to the river walk, just a street away from an area with dozens of nice restaurants. Also the small internal courtyard is really nice spot to have a coffee or drink on the afternoon.

I got the blue house (budget option) on the top floor and there was no lift. The room was basic and relatively clean. Not good for guests with big luggage like me. Thankfully the hotel staff were willing to help. Breakfast was lovely; better than most mid-range hotels in Europe that I've visited.

I have made this place my second home away from home every time I go to Hamburg. The location close to the main train station but in a quiet residential road is great. The rooms are nicely done, and the cute garden out back is great in summer. But what sets it apart are the people and the connection to literature. They get all visiting speakers from the nearby literature house and the tradition for them is to leave the hotel a signed copy of their latest book. Hence there is a well stocked library of these signed books, from which you can borrow to read from. That and the courteous and friendly and helpful staff, and you have a special place to stay.

Comfortable beds, quiet, overlooking a private garden, great location and a wonderful staff!! The main train station is maybe 10 minute walk away. Many many restaurants of all price ranges and food types. Close to a lovely lake with paths to walk along. Neighborhood was nice and felt safe and friendly. Did I mention the staff? Best ever! Approachable, helpful, informative, fun!

Yelp
Budget accommodation. Staff were super friendly! Very nice location around cafes and shops. The room smelt a little like dorms but the sheets and towels were clean, once I opened the window it was fine. The shower drain was blocked. But apart from that, excellent for a one night stay over and cheap prices. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Hotel Wedina is a beautiful little jewel hidden away just off Lake Alster. The rooms are quite large and the bathrooms are amazing - with heated floor tiles and a huge bathtub (only in the Yellow building I think). Breakfast is served in the gorgeous inner garden. Only caveat: make sure you have plans in Hamburg before arriving as the hotel staff are not great at giving advice to tourists.
