Weinegg Wellviva Resort (Appiano sulla Strada del Vino, Trentino-Alto Adige) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Fresh air and great wine are reasons enough to escape to South Tyrol. The Weinegg Wellviva Resort has all that covered, and then some: surrounded by snow-capped peaks and scenic vineyards, the luxury hotel features a sprawling, state-of-the-art spa that’s a destination in itself with an indoor-outdoor infinity pool, Finnish saunas, and a snow room stocked with fresh powder sourced in the Dolomites. Luminous rooms have parquet floors, native wood paneling, and French doors opening onto private balconies with nature views, while suites have their own mini spas with private saunas and freestanding soaking tubs. Gourmet regional dishes and locally produced wines are served in the resort’s elegant restaurant, and the open-air bar is a requisite stop after a day out skiing, hiking, cycling, or wine tasting." - Tablet Hotels

Fantastic stay at this luxury hotel. We stayed for one weekend at the Wellness Suite. Soft lights, wooden decor, 80m2, terrace with own sauna and… 2 full bathrooms! Every detail is thoughtfully executed and food was above and beyond in all levels. Everything is impeccably clean and the stuff is very kind and helpful. Everything invites you to relax and enjoy life. Can’t wait to come back

We stayed here for 10 nights during late August in a junior suite which was comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is stylish, immaculately kept and with five-star facilities - it was great to be able to hire e-bikes and we took advantage of some of the free activities. The hotel shuttle from/to the airport was welcome too. Service was overall excellent - all staff were extremely professional. | What we really loved about this hotel is the totally calm atmosphere - you can quickly feel very relaxed. The hotel grounds are spread out and it was always possible to find a quiet spot away from other guests. The hotel has various swimming pools - the 2 warmest were sometimes dominated by kids. The adult-only spa was on a whole subterranean level and was modern and spotlessly clean - the different saunas were great, there were always plenty of towels and we enjoyed the extra touches like the salt scrubs. | The food here is the main event - the cooking is first class with high-quality ingredients. Every dish was expertly cooked and beautifully presented. The long lunch service (12.30-5) meant we could go out in the morning and come back with time for something to eat, which was appreciated.| There were only 2 negatives which were more our bad luck than problems per se : the soundproofing in our room was bad and other guests disturbed our sleep - we could hear them talking (at 3am) and snoring. The other negative was that we were allocated the same table for breakfast and dinner in a dark corner of the restaurant with little natural light - it was at the front of the restaurant next to the buffet area so we didn’t venture further into the restaurant, and it was only at the end of our stay we realised that all other tables had panoramic windows with sunset mountain views - since we were there for 10 days we were disappointed to have missed out (and annoyed that we discovered too late to ask to be moved). I’d recommend the management consider sitting people at different tables in the restaurant each night so everyone can enjoy a window with a view.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, luxury stay in the Dolomites, this is it :) We’ve never had better food in a hotel. Breakfast is really the best ever, and so is diner. The views are amazing, really great location, also for walking and biking. It was also great to see the owner and his family being present in the hotel every day, with lots of passion and enthusiasm - which is unique!! We also loved the friendliness of every single staff member. We do think the interior of the hotel at some points is a bit old fashioned, for example the gym and the family spa. And we missed bar service at the pool. But nevertheless we highly recommend this place.

I have been travelling around the world and stayed at many 5 Star Hotels and Weinegg is one of the absolut best hotels in all categories I have been. It's not just the outstanding location, facilities, extremely new and modern rooms, incredible kitchen but the team which makes the stay so special. Everyone I have spoken to from the team have been not just super professional but also so welcoming, friendly and felt they love what they are doing with all their heart. My family and I have been in the best hands from the first minute and we will be back for sure! Thanks so much to the whole team! See you soon!

The place is outstanding overall. We had an issue with the room location. We booked the place one year ago and requested a junior suite. When we arrived they gave us the last room in the old building. The room was nice but the view was the parking lot. After we complained they showed us exactly the same room one floor above with the same view. We did not move.

We have returned to Weinegg given the first great experience we had some time ago and I have to say we had another great experience. Everything was excellent as expected , the staff, the room, the service, the food , but I have to say what was definitely the highlight was the Aufguss experience.Everybody did super job , all the rituals were fantastic with the novelty for us of a great hammam session managed by Mauricio and Iva, we really loved that. We also had the chance to talk with Mr Moser and his passion to give his guest the best possible service it’s admirable, no surprise the standard in the structure is so high. Looking forward to be back!!

Sadly, our stay at Weinegg was a huge let down. I emailed before booking to find out whether their pool was excessively heated or appropriate for lap swimming. I was assured by email: "our 60m SuitePool...temperature lies around 28°C and it's the perfect place to swim laps in". 28 degrees C (=82.4 degrees F) is a perfectly reasonable temperature to swim laps so I booked 2 nights. I was sorely disappointed when I took the temperature of the water on the morning of my swim ( I have learned that pool thermometers are not made available to hotel guests at hotels so I bring my own to know for sure). It turned out that the water was a bath like 88 degrees F (=31 degrees C). For someone who swims laps for an hour, it's not pleasant. It is exasperating to be misinformed as I had doublechecked with the front desk reception upon checking in the evening before. ||||I endured an hour of swimming but it wasn't enjoyable and I would never have considered staying and paying a premium for a hotel with a pool that's so warm. I cannot understand why when they have another indoor/outdoor pool (I checked ...over 90 degrees F) why they insist on keeping both pools so hot?!||||After showering and breakfast, I let reception know that I wasn't happy about the temperature of the water. The manager wasn't in and reception could not offer any guarantee that the water would be cooler the next morning. I packed my bags and left and never heard from the manager despite being promised a call. ||||The rooms are clean and well designed. The pool is located proximal to the rooms so not ideal. You feel like you're swimming in a courtyard pool. You look right into guest rooms as you swim the 60 meter length. Not only that, apparently I woke up a couple 3 floors above me when they heard me swimming???? and proceeded to reprimand (harass)!! me in German for swimming at 6am. (Hotel told me it was fine to swim early: "swimming in the morning is no issue at all, we only ask our guests to be a little quieter during the early/late hours as a form of respect to the others". Perhaps this couple sleeps with the terrace door open in winter??? I was not making any noise.||||Breakfast eggs were disappointing. Fresh squeezed blood red orange juice was welcomed. ||||Indoor spa area is a bit tacky.

An unexpectedly unforgettable spontaneous world-class getaway. A short vacation with a WOW factor. Our entire family was simply blown away. The hotel exudes quality and exclusivity, and the service is absolutely top-notch. Room As long-time hoteliers, we were completely captivated by the room from the very first moment. Upon entering, we were struck by the warm wooden floors, the soft lighting, and the elegant decor that create a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The huge bed with its plush pillows and the luxurious bathroom featuring a freestanding bathtub and rain shower were simply dreamy. However, the ultimate highlight was the private terrace with its own sauna, comfortable lounge furniture, and direct access to the heated 80-meter infinity pool, where we could relax wonderfully after a day full of impressions. Dining A sensational culinary experience awaited us. The staff were warm and friendly from the very beginning to the very end. Special thanks go to Lara and especially Isotta, who lovingly took care of our little daughter throughout our stay. The food was almost exclusively excellent. The combination of buffet and à la carte was an amazing way to indulge in whatever our hearts desired. The wine service was equally outstanding. The variety of unique decanters added an exciting touch and some diversity. The only downside was the wine list prices, which even surpassed those in Switzerland. Service Our stay was a consistently heartfelt and unforgettable experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the reception with a radiant smile that immediately made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Karolin at the SPA impressed us with her expertise and her evident passion for her work: the relaxing massage, perfectly tailored to our needs, allowed us to completely unwind and recharge. Isotta and Lara looked after us in the restaurant with remarkable friendliness, expertly advising us on wine choices and serving the delicious dishes with obvious joy. Every single staff member made us feel that our well-being was their top priority. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team—especially Sara, Karolin, Isotta, and Lara—for these wonderful days filled with indulgence, relaxation, and genuine hospitality. Evenings Out We spent delightful evenings before and after dinner at the stylish bar and in the cozy cigar lounge. With a sophisticated drink in hand and soothing music in the background, the atmosphere was perfect for winding down the day in peace. The cigar lounge was truly something special—a tastefully designed space where we could enjoy fine aromas and relaxed conversations. A special thank you to Mike for the fantastic company and the outstanding drinks. Pool The hotel impresses with a variety of pools, most of which were pleasantly heated and inviting for relaxation. The 80-meter-long infinity pool was particularly noteworthy, with direct access from our room. It was a sensational experience to swim in the warm water while the outdoor temperature was below freezing, all while enjoying the view of the surrounding vineyards. Simply stunning. SPA We were thrilled by the thoughtful layout of the SPA areas. The separation into a family SPA and an exclusive adults-only SPA allowed our family to enjoy relaxing moments together while also providing the opportunity to recharge in a tranquil environment. This clear division ensured that both parents and children felt completely comfortable and that everyone had their needs met. The adults-only SPA was beautifully designed, modern, and stood out with unique features like the ice room—a fantastic experience. The family SPA, on the other hand, seemed to be from the hotel’s original design and will likely be renovated soon to meet the same high standard. Location Short trips to nearby towns and villages are easily manageable, offering a perfect balance between wellness and exploration. It was possible to experience a lot, do some shopping, and discover cultural highlights, making the location ideal for a well-rounded vacation.
