Hotel Weinhaus Messerschmitt

Amazing location, right in the beautiful town centre of the 'Old Town' of Bamberg. The reception member of staff was lovely, and spoke English. The housekeeping staff are fantastic and friendly too. We were delighted to find a complementary fruit bowl and sparkling water when we arrived. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful hotel totally lacking in details and maintenance. The room looked nice but we quickly realized there was no safe to use. Then no bathrobe. Then there were issues with the elevator not working. We had to wait in the lobby for them to fix it, or because I injured my knee, my husband would need to run down to get it done. And the staff indicated it was an ongoing problem so why is it not fixed? |The thing that really irritated me was the lack of basic amenities. We saw one tiny bottle of shampoo. No soaps or conditioner or lotion or cotton balls. I finally managed to read the printing on the product was “body gel and hair shampoo.” Eww. I don’t carry shampoo because I’m not that fussy about it. But my hair looked horrible the two days in Bamberg.|The location was great though, especially because we used the buses to go to the Dom area and such.

We were very pleased with our stay here.|Our room was quiet and comfortable and cosy, the shower was fantastic, and we were within walking distance of all the places we wanted to see. We had plenty of room, and as it was cold outside, it was always so good to step back into the warmth.|I would not hesitate to stay here again.

It was a lovely hotell with very charming rooms as well as dining areas and reception. The staff was very nice and helpful especially the sweet lady working in the dining hall during breakfast. She made me and my family feel very special and welcome. If she asks you if you'd like some coco, I deeply recomend taking it. It was lovely. The breakfast overall was great and if you're staying here, I really recomend adding breakfast to enlighten your stay. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to returning :)

We have just returned from a lovely 2 night stay in this hotel and we were very impressed! From the entrance to reception, the friendly and helpful staff, the spacious and comfortable room, and the excellent breakfast, we had no complaints whatsoever.

I stayed here in June 2024 for 3 weeks on a work trip. The Floor 2A where I stayed was lovely and nice. It has a completely updated bathroom and a great view of the town. The mattress was great, and the room service was awesome. They made sure everything was tidy and clean, with a fresh blanket and sheets, and a fresh towel every day. The complementary water and coffee in my room were very needed after a long day at work. The best thing about my stay here was the receptionist who greeted us there every day. Her English is exceptional, and we were able to ask her about restaurants and things to do around the town. She helped us with everything we asked, always had a big smile on her face, and even joked with us. It was super nice to have someone there who knew so much about the town. She really loved being there to help, and it really shows. The rest of the crew was nice and always greeted us in the morning, but we didn't get much time with them due to us coming back from work in the evenings. The breakfast staff was awesome, and the food was yummy. Coffee was brought to the table after you sat down, and it was always good. Thank you, Laura, and the rest of the staff for an amazing stay and being there to help me and my colleagues with all the questions an outsider would have. I recommend the Messerschmitt to everyone that I know is traveling to Bamberg.

Hotel is no longer in Romantik association. Breakfast is 12.50 Euro. Worth the money but not free. Lovely reception area with fresh roses. Very friendly staff. Excellent location halfway between Bahnhof and Dom. Spacious room had all necessary amenities but tea kettle would have been perfect. We were surprised to be given a handicap room with shower with no walls. Functional but awkward. Appears to be recently renovated. AC worked well. Wi-Fi worked well.

A very good hotel and we were given two of the newly refurbished rooms on the first floor. They were smart, comfortable, well equipped and very quiet.||Bicycle storage was well organised and secure.||Welcome and arrival were excellent complete with a couple of beers for the tired cyclist arriving very quickly.||The Hotel is in an excellent location and the breakfast was amongs the best we had whilct touring in Germany.||Good for the purposes of our trip, and good if returning with my wife.
