Hotel Weisses Roessl (Kitzbühel, Tyrol) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Dating from the 17th century, this luxury hotel in the center of Kitzbühel is not just for skiers and golfers – the spa includes an indoor pool, beauty, massage and a sauna for those looking for a gentler pace. Diners who like a side order of fashion with their food will be delighted to learn that the hotel hosts an outpost of Japanese restaurant Zuma. Family-owned for nearly 20 years, the hotel was comprehensively refurbished in 2017 and the bedrooms are particularly comfortable." - Tablet Hotels

We have been from 18th to 22nd of December in the "Weisses Rössl" in Kitzbühel. Very good inner city location only some footsteps from the shopping mile. But all in all a very very disappointing experience. We have been for the birthday of my wife at the 20th. We booked a room "Seidlalm" with rooms sized "from" 30sqm on. We arrived late and tired at the 18th, the room we got was "different" we realized that it was much smaller and it was on the "first" floor, but this means it is in the basement on the other side of the house, where the room has been. You feel you are under the surface. We complained about a wrong room in terms of the size, not what we booked. At first we were told that the room (116) is within the class Seidlam and it might be different size according to their conditions, ..... we couldnt believe and felt like they are cheating on us. The 116 has barely 20sqm never 30+. Propably linked wrong in their system. Or intention? Dont know if incompetence or cheating, anyway not acceptable when i pay 750€ a night! There is no other room available we were told. After being something more strict as i told them we will leave immediately and go somewhere else, we got the room 119 not much bigger also on the "first" floor but at least two rooms, sleeping and living room. Both rooms were terrible loud, the noise from the Zuma Restaurant dont let you fall asleep if you want so before midnight. Not long ago the hotel experienced a refurbishment, but many parts where not working or damaged, the bath shaving mirror was loose, the fan made "taktaktak" noises, the safe was blocked. The hotel dont has an own restaurant! Only the Zuma, we didnt know, but the problem was that this is normally fully booked. "No problem" as hotel guest, we were told, after waiting more then 30 minutes and hungry we got a "coffee table" for dinner. The dinner was first of all ..... expensive... i dont care if good, but the performance was abysmally bad. No dish in the right order, sides too late, after main dish was eaten. The salmon from my wife came cold, she was meanwhile so hungry that she won't complain. My.... 105€ crab dish....., came cold, 5 minutes later then her's, contains 4 crab legs, i tried one and complaint, after waiting 20mins. it came again, the same but just warmed up and only 3 crab legs, ..... are you kidding!!!! The service was friendly and engaged but couldnt compensate. We got a desert for free, at least, but come on 240€ for two, no wine, just water for such a performance ........ interestingly everybody there was greek, they hired the complete Zuma team from Mykonos. Not a complaint, but something weired if you are in Kitzbühel in Austria, you come to the desk and ask something and he/she ask's "do you speak english". I dont care to pay 700 or 900 or even 1.000 for a night, but i expect then being treated professional, the "Weisses Rössl" is far away from being this. At least that nobody "realize" that your guests birthday is, that's really bad management. Selling rooms in the first floor to anybody else then party people is something like criminal or at least outrageous!

This 5* LHW is top-class in every respect. Every detail is perfect, the rooms are large, modern, and extremely clean. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and the spa area is very inviting. The service and staff are exceptional. They anticipate your every need, and special requests are immediately accommodated. The level of friendliness is unparalleled. The location in the heart of Kitzbühel is breathtaking, and the shuttle service to the valley station is a fantastic service. I can recommend the hotel without any reservation.

Very nice luxury hotel. Very modern and comfortable. The staff is super kind and caring, highlights for George room service, Ntamir and Daniel from reception. Thank you for your kindness!!! The rooms are beautiful, very clean and the design is nice. Some rooms also have nice views to the mountains. Would say that the room service menu deserves more attention as they don't have many options. Also the lounge is shared with Zuma restaurant so you don't have a nice hotel lobby to chill with your kid if you want to. The place is very big and it can be confusing to go to the room.

Excellent hotel just outside the walls of the old town. The staff is outstanding and welcoming (except the somewhat rude woman taking Zuma restaurant reservations). The lobby bar is a great place for breakfast and for meals through 4 pm (when they start cleaning up for Zuma dining). The rooms are very well-appointed and comfortable, except the mattress was a bit hard for us. The spa facilities are amazing, especially the large number of sauna options, with a very Roman atmosphere. The pool is very nice as well. The Hahnenkamm lift is fairly convenient.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They made us feel like home. Special mention to Daniel at the reception desk, whose treatment was exceptional.||Very varied and balanced breakfast. The spa is very clean and cared for. The size and equipment of the rooms is outstanding. Excellent location close to the ski lifts. We are already thinking of going back next year.

Spent 7 nights at this location. ||One of our longest stays in any one particular location. ||Could have been a long 7 days had things not been organised, but this was the complete opposite. ||We have the perfect 2 br apartment in the residences Wing, with spacious living quarters. The room had lots of storage which was perfect for the amount of ski gear we had as a family. Water pressure was high and showers were actually enjoyable! ||Daniel and his front office team were on point 99% of the time. Ready to answer queries and also acted as concierge for us the whole trip. ||Housekeeping team were fantastic. Efficient, thorough, conscientious. ||Spa- Julinda had magic hands for massage. She kneaded our tired bodies after several days of skiing. ||There were so many pros to this hotel, but also several cons. ||A) food selection during breakfast was very basic and repetitive over 7 mornings ||B) bell desk could have had a few more staff and one more shuttle van for transport to ski lift. Walk was bearable, but at times not welcomed and preferred, especially in the snow.

During our stay at this purportedly five-star establishment, spanning from December 28th to January 2nd, my companions and I were regrettably confronted with a multitude of issues. Despite our timely arrival, the accommodation of our group, which included friends with an infant, was inexplicably delayed. This lack of foresight and consideration failed to meet the standards one would reasonably expect from a hospitality venue of this caliber.||Upon eventually gaining access to our designated rooms, dismay swiftly replaced our anticipation. The condition of one of the rooms was deplorable, besmirched with egregious neglect. The bathtub, a foundational element of sanitation and comfort, was distressingly adorned with an abundance of hair, accompanied by traces of remnants from prior occupants. Despite promptly notifying the management of this egregious oversight, subsequent remedial actions were notably insufficient. Repeated assurances of room cleaning failed to yield any tangible improvement, leaving us in a state of dismay.||Furthermore, the hotel's response to our dining needs, especially following an exhilarating day of skiing, was profoundly disappointing. An establishment purportedly catering to a ski resort clientele should inherently anticipate and accommodate the gastronomic requirements of its guests. The abrupt revelation that food service was solely available via room service at 4 pm, without prior notice or appropriate alternatives, was an unexpected inconvenience that necessitated escalated complaint.||Notably distressing was the mysterious disappearance of personal belongings on New Year's Eve, specifically my jacket from Zuma, an occurrence that drew attention to the questionable security measures in place. It was only after firm insistence on reviewing surveillance footage that the hotel fortuitously "recovered" the misplaced item, raising concerns about the initial handling of the situation.||The denouement of our stay culminated in an avoidable mishap. Despite forewarning the hotel regarding the dimensions of our friends' vehicle and its inability to fit within the confined underground parking, the staff negligently caused damage to the car's roof, thereby compounding our dissatisfaction with their lack of attention to detail.||In sum, the experience fell egregiously short of the anticipated standard, leaving us profoundly disheartened. The absence of a formal apology for the litany of inconveniences was exacerbated by a paltry recompense comprising a mere bottle of champagne and a token free spa massage. The lack of accountability and requisite professionalism within an establishment purporting to uphold a five-star reputation was glaringly apparent, casting a shadow over the entire duration of our stay.
