This was our fourth stay at Hotel Westminster in the past two years, and we continue to be very impressed. The recent refurbishments have really enhanced the communal areas, especially the lobby, which now feels even more welcoming and elegant.||The staff are consistently friendly and professional — from the doormen to the reception team, everyone makes you feel genuinely welcomed. We’ve stayed in several different rooms over time, and the Executive Room we had this month was excellent: clean, quiet, and overlooking the internal courtyard. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept wonderfully.||The room facilities were ideal for our city break, with plenty of storage space, tea and coffee-making amenities, and a well-stocked minibar. The bathroom had both a bath and a shower, and the toiletries provided were pleasant to use.||Breakfast was very good, offering a wide variety to suit all tastes. And of course, the hotel’s location couldn’t be better — perfect for exploring the city .

This hotel is a place that is losing its potential. The lobby is great. The bar staff is amazing and quality drinks being served. Again music was not working as the system got down. The location is great. When we arrived hotel was closed after midnight which is not a standard for a 5star. We got a terrible room on 1st level, which was gloomy and without basic facilities. Our review would be 2stars if we stayed there. The night desk was not even listening to our requests. But after complaining next day, we got an upgrade for the rest of the stay which changed the whole experience. Mr. Komi helped us turn around the experience and thanks to him we got the room with right value to money. The rooms need a lot of refurbishment although they are kept really clean. The HVAC was turning off in the night and we have been getting cold. Minibar could be better although the wines were good. With proper refurbishment it could be a great hotel. The nigh reception should be replaced. The day staff, cleaning, bar staff was great! I would go there again to stay in the upgraded room. But for the price of the Executive.

You know that movie the disaster artist with James Franco? Well this is the equivalent: the disaster hotel. How does a toilet break? Mamma Mia? My diamond ring was stolen here and the hotel connived to hide it. The heating in the room didn’t work. This place is equipped with cheap hardware,There is no general manager here. They all pretend to not know how bad in disrepair the hotel is, it’s so bad it’s hilarious. Just to update this review, to show people how callous, dangerous this hotel is, after they finally started following the law following everything that transpired at the hotel, the acting general manager tried to stop me from warning other travelers by “threatening” with a defamatory lawsuit. Like this image of their broken toilet, police reports for “alleged” theft from a safe o! are lies That this place is still operable is a failure of consumer protection and corporate greed to the max. Caveat vraiment emptor. They refused to refund my stay and I had to write multiple times to obtain an invoice of a stay so I can proceed with legal remedies. Where’s the insurance company?? This hotel specializes in getting a manager Georgioantonio to sell you a defunct faulty product, he knows is faulty, and assure you if there’s any issue they’ll take care of it, only to disappear. Don’t believe his replies to people’s reviews. Believe the reviews and run. They haven’t handled ANYTHING.

Room smelt like sewer gas likely as the shower needed water to be run frequently. Access is annoying as you have to walk up a flight of stairs to reach the tight elevator. Location is excellent as its only saving grace

One of best hotel stays ever. Great location. Rooms were clean with very comfortable beds. The staff was the standout. They were so kind, friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!

Caveat emptor. ||My Tiffany Ring was stolen from a safe.||The hotels toilet broke while being cleaned by the housekeeper. Suddenly technicians, other housekeepers trooped into my room to fix it . The next morning I realized my ring was gone and the technician has the safe key. The hotel denied all liability though by law they’re liable. So this hotel is dangerous. Don’t be deceived by the glitz . It’s in an (intentionally) poor state because theft is best done when there’s a “crisis.” Like in the movies - the lights shut off, people panic, an artwork is stolen , the lights come back on. My husband and I just got the picture in the aftermath. The hotel is literally on the street with Cartier, DeBeers, Messika, Tiffany’s … so guests are literally a target for theft. Paris / France is really unsafe - there’s no real economy here.

Luxurious ambiance, with friendly and professional staff. I’m glad I chose this venue to host a corporate cocktail event. They were very professional every step of the way. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place to organize this type of event.

Booked the most expensive suite in the hotel, For one night , To stay in Paris after the river cruise. We.arrived at 11 AM straight from the port. Was told check in is at 3 pm, assured is that they will try to have our room ready ASAP, Before Check in time. Told us they’ll call us when the room is ready, Offered to store our luggage While we wait, recommend to walk around In the area. We agreed, then went to do some shopping and sightseeing while waiting for their call. When no one called us after 3 PM, we were exhausted and headed back to the hotel. Got to the hotel after 4.30pm, and were told that the room is not ready yet?! When I got upset, they offered us the drinks at the bar on the house to make it up to us, which was nice, but we were tired and didn’t sleep the night before, so just wanted to get to the room and relax before dinner. also it was very hot outside. We got the keys to the room a little after 5 P. The room was nice size, And well furnished, had an old Parisian feel to it. But the smell in the room was not pleasant. The hallway is outdated and smelly as well. Tiny elevator that starts on the first floor and you have to walk up and down One flight of stairs to get to/from The elevator. The AC was not working well in the room, The room was warm, they could not fix it, when I requested to be switched to another room, they did not change our room because as per front desk, the hotel was fully booked. They did bring the fan to the room to make it a little cooler. The stuff was nice and tried to be helpful as they could. I’m really surprised how this hotel is listed as five star hotel because

Yelp
Elegance Hotel with amazing location. With its beautiful design and classy feel, The Westminster hotel gave a vibe of luxury. The lobby's elegant decor makes a great impression, while the bar and breakfast room offer excellent amenities, including a diverse selection and full breakfast options. During my stay, I was impressed with the deluxe room's spaciousness, attractive decor, and impressive marble-like bathroom. Ian, the front desk staff member including the doorman were all proved to be friendly and helpful. Before my husband joined me from his business trip in Dusseldorf, I truly enjoyed my brief stay here. We transition to a different hotel in the area equipped with a pool, but I would have liked to prolong my stay, as my intense schedule only afforded only a brief time at the pool. The hotel's prime location, offering easy walking access to Place Vendome, the Opera, restaurants, shopping, with the added convenience of Cartier being located next door, and Lois Vuitton, Chanel, and Dior in close proximity. The Westminster Hotel offers excellent value for money and is affiliated with the Warwick group in New York - a renowned chain of 40 hotels worldwide. The hotel has with easy access to the metro station, train, and bus. From Charles de Gaulle airport, I took the bus, which made its second stop in Paris. After a lovely Christmas evening around Place Vendome, I appreciated the two bottles of wine waiting for me. I'll definitely consider staying here again.

Yelp
Roban cosas y no se responsabilizan! No vayan a este lugar! Debería de haber mejor administración de este lugar y hacerse responsables

Yelp
I've a great experience checking in. I booked online, and for the first time, paid the entire stay in advance. The booking was for a room with queen or two single beds and the confirmation didn't say which one. I called the hotel while on the way there to request the room with two beds and was promptly given it. there's some scaffolding outside the window but we're in Paris we're not going to stay in the room look out the window. So it doesn't matter. The room is comfortable with a nice bathroom, bathrobe and slippers, a little refrigerator and free bottle of water. That's all we need.

Yelp
Here for 4 days, so far a shit show! Construction outside our window (we are on the sixth floor), noise starts at 5:30 AM. No hot water (when we complained they told us to call the mayor), electrical outlets do not work, and the elevators do not work! Photo is from our room!

Yelp
The Westminster is a great old hotel in a lovely location, convenient to many attractions including the Louvre. Also down the street from a ton of restaurants and highly upscale stores. It helps fulfill the promise and magic of Paris. The rooms are cozy, with a huge bathroom that included a desk for makeup; they are clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was sumptuous. Bacon, eggs, fruit, breads, coffee...you won't walk away hungry. The restaurant staff was wonderful, and we never wanted for anything. The staff is very helpful and you are always greeted with a smile and a kind word. There is a concierge who starts at about 3pm who is very knowledgeable. If you need information for the next day, he is the man to consult. The hotel feels it age, which is part of the charm. The elevator is the size of a small closet. A shout out to Girard at the charming wood-lined bar, who gave us great restaurant recommendations and was a pleasure to speak with. Note that there is construction going on in from of the hotel, which can impair the view from those rooms. Our room overlooked a spectacular courtyard. It was a surprise the first day to get a knock on the door at about 4pm. They want to know if you need any fresh towels or anything for your comfort. Nice touch. The Westminster will be one of the great memories of our trip, and that's saying a lot.

Yelp
And I'm being generous. Shower didn't work properly, and it took over 3 hours for someone to come and unclog the bathroom sink. Apparently maintenance doesn't get to work until 10 AM You'd think they'd have a maintenance person available 24 hours a day. What if something really bad happened? Other than that, the room was comfortable and quiet, and had they offered any consideration at all for our inconvenience, I might have felt a little better. I'll just stay somewhere else the next time.

Yelp
This rather discreet luxury hotel near Place Vendome has one of the loveliest, coziest piano bars in the city. Located in the back right corner on the hotel's ground floor the 30-person bar has the look and feel of a posh private reading room with mahogany exposed beams, green leather club chairs, framed portraits, book shelves, a fireplace and super romantic lighting. I've been to the bar at least a half dozen times, but each time I come back my adrenaline surges as if it's my first. There is just something profoundly pleasing about this place that makes you want to stay forever. Unfortunately, though, the elevated prices of the drink menu keep those fantasies in check, and I wind up staying as long as one, max two, drinks allow. So if you're ever in the area and are craving a dose of affordable indulgence, pop inside the Westminster for a drink.

Yelp
Hotel Westminster is a great place to say in Paris. Located on Rue de la Paix, it is centrally located right near the Opera. You can walk almost anywhere are there are also a few metro stops in the area. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. We had a two room suite that was really nice. There was also an outdoor patio right off our room that was a common area and a great touch. The hotel piano bar is amazing and a great place to get a drink. The decor is really nice and the entertainment was fabulous. The hotel staff was incredibly nice and everyone spoke English. They set me up by delivering champagne to my room for my girlfriend's birthday and their dinner recommendations never disappointed. The reservations also include breakfast which should not be overlooked. The Hotel Westminster breakfast is stellar. The spread is grand with eggs, meats, cheese, yogurt, pastries, cereals, etc. and everything is good. The coffee is also amazing. This is really the best way to start off a long day of touring Paris.

Yelp
I loved this hotel. I stayed in room 405, it had a large bedroom and a large marble bathroom. The air conditioning was very good. The lounge was very high end with reasonable cocktail pricing. I would recommend staying here, I know I will when I come back to Paris!

Yelp
For starters, the restaurant food wasn't great and really over priced in comparison to some of the other really nice restaurants the four of us we ate at. The overall feel of the hotel is fancy and it's very beautiful. The rooms and beds were nice but very small, I'm sure that's due to the fact it's and old building so it's understandable. I'm not sure if it's just a French thing but I thought the majority of the staff here were extremely rude and unhelpful, (the ones that were nice were very nice but they far and few) most of the staff made you feel like you were asking the unthinkable when making the smallest request and they had no problem expressing it in their actions. Upon checking out they wanted to charge $100.00 for a box of Macaroons that in fact was a gift from the travel agency we used, and we were basically called liars when we said we didn't use the honor bar, only when the Mgr got involved was it taken off the bill. However what really surprised me was on the day we were checking out a lady's bag mistakenly was taken by another guest which had her passport and phone in it, so as you could imagine she was very stressed out. The staff was not sympathetic in any way, unhelpful and actually were making fun of her when she walked away. There were camera in the lobby which she asked them to look at and they told her the cameras didn't video the lobby???? Because no one at the hotel could be bothered to help the lady my oldest daughter finally started helping her using her find my phone app to help her locate the bag. The bag showed as being somewhere close to the hotel and yet still no one from the hotel offered to help?? We had to leave before we knew the outcome of that situation, I only to hope that all turned out well for her. I personally wouldn't return to this establishment.

Yelp
This is our favorite hotel in Paris. We have come here every year for many years. The staff are wonderful! Nicolas, the concierge, is absolutely delightful. We look forward to his charm, wit, and expertise year over year. He is warm, helpful and genuinely kind. His English is flawless to the point that I feel guilty speaking French! and Nicolas in reservations, is equally kind, patient and as fluent in English as he is French. This is a hotel with heart and soul. Not pretentious and snobby, but in a fabulous part of Paris that is easily accessible to everything. And the piano bar is divine!!

Yelp
We were able to get a great rate at this hotel, and it was the only one that seemed to have reasonable rooms available over Easter weekend. Rate was around 200 E while everywhere else in the area was at least double. The good: the location is great, the concierge is helpful, the price is good and the restaurant is wonderful (although you need reservations). The bad: breakfast ends at 10 (even on Sunday!!!), the room is TINY, the cleaning ladies have no idea when you are checking out and will try to clean before you have even left the hotel on your last day (more than once!), the showers are heinous with very low water pressure and drastically changing temperatures and the shampoo is horrible, the pillows are very uncomfortable and make it difficult to sleep and the temperature in the room is difficult to maintain. I can deal with the small room and having to tell the cleaning ladies to come back later but I would only stay here again if there were better pillows and a better shower.

Yelp
This review is from January 2010. Located on a great avenue in Paris just past Place Vendome. Upon arrival the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating to early arrivals. The room was as reserved and they even provided an upgrade. The bathrooms were white marble and very large. The sleeping quarters were comfortable and very nicely furnished and maintained. In the evening the bar area had a great piano player and the cocktail list was very extensive and tasty. My office is a bit away on Quai Austerlitz but this hotel is centrally located to the Louvre, fashion district, and not a bad walk to the champs. The shopping in the area is great and upscale, as are the cafes. I really enjoyed my 5 night stay and will return when on business or with my wife on holiday.

Chris P.

Yelp
The customer service at this high priced hotel is absolutely the worst. While during a 3 night stay with many other colleagues for a business trip, I just happened to be the only unlucky one with an air conditioning system in my room that was not working correctly. It was mid summer and unusually hot in Paris. The lobby's cooling was great, my room not so much. It would shutoff for no reason and blink on the display, essentially killing any cooling in the room while I was gone. This happened 3-4 times, and I called and talked to the front desk as many times. They kept saying they'd have someone check it out but nobody came. They didn't really care. As long as it was cool where they were working , I guess that was alright. What kind of place tells a guest that they're sending someone and nobody shows up because I was in the room waiting. I spent 3 nights wishing I were home in my own house and not Paris. That's how good this place was. I really don't think they have a 24 hr maintenance guy at this hotel. For the area and the price, there should be one there for at least 12 hrs of the day. I would never stay in this hotel again.
