Hotel Wettstein Basel

My stay at the hotel was enjoyable, resting and comfortable. I liked the breakfast very much, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice. It has a magnificent taste! I liked the room, cleanliness and nice towels and little accessoires box. It is just next to the bus station and tram station. Super close to the city center. I also liked the mini bar.

Lovely hotel with comfortable rooms that are a good size. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was sufficient. Location is great if you have to go to the conference center. Bus and tram stop is a few steps from the front door. I'd definitely stay here again.

I came here on business. Its the first time in my career, I actually got a single room. The hotel should have known that if you come on business, you most likely come more often, so offer a normal room. My colleagues got a room with a double bed which I only heard at the end of the trip. Room was so outdated, although clean, but I would never come back. The rest of the hotel was fine. Breakfast was also good. But take a tip: treat business clients with a better room as they often come back to the city.

Wonderful guest services--everyone so polite and friendly--and thoughtful gestures, including the available battery banks and free beverages in the lobby and the guest room. Superb bedding. Great location. Lots of comfortable public space in the lobby for hanging out or working (including the conference table on the mezzanine). Good WiFi. Clean and quiet. Highly recommend.

A pleasant hotel situated near convenient travel links (tram / bus) into Basel centre. Good value for money at the price point (a long weekend stay of 3 nights). Friendly and accommodating staff too :).

Hotel is located just across the river from the Old Town, but is still central to exploring both sides of Basel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend ensuring your booking is in the main building / the “garden view” room we were given, for example, was in a separate building with no lift - if like in our circumstance, we had a member with rheumatoid arthritis, this was not a good choice (not made clear when booking that access was by stairwell access only). However Concierge was terrific and changed our room to one in the main building with lift access. 100 pts for that service. We did not take breakfast so cannot rate this. The shower is on the small side, however the water heats quickly and has good flow. The room we had was well insulated, although very warm. Could not change the room temperature so we ended up opening the window. From Australia, we are used to open windows at night so this was pleasant for us - warm but fresh air. Love the separate doonas on the bed. We have marked down one star because there are no tea/coffee facilities. Guests can use the coffee machines in the breakfast area free of charge, as often as you like. Sounds great but practically, it’s frustrating for guests to continually go to the breakfast room just for a tea or coffee. The hotel needs to address this issue. Other than this one small item, the hotel is great. Would stay here again.

Nice and clean hotel. Polite and helpful staff. They know every details about their city. They can easily forward you for any of your request. Hotel has got its own car park and the price is 25 CHF per night. But you have to make reservation before you go there. I lost my earring there, 🥹 hope they will find it. Thanks to everyone for everything.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast staff were particularly friendly. Location wasn't the best, but we got a basel card which let us travel on buses and trams for free, which we made good use of. It also got us half price for various attractions. Parking was very expensive.
