Hotel White

At first, I was hesitant to stay here due to the hotel's old style, but the exceptional location, services, staff behaviour, delicious food, and stunning view from the room completely won me over. My stay was amazing. I would surely recommend it to others.

Hotel White, Shimla – A Stay with Pros and Cons Our recent stay at Hotel White in Shimla was a blend of good and not-so-good experiences. Let’s start with the positives. The location is quite convenient—very close to Mall Road and The Ridge, which are the main attractions in Shimla. The staff is courteous and helpful, always trying their best to make your stay comfortable. Some of the rooms, especially the valley view ones, offer beautiful sights of the hills and town below, making mornings and evenings quite delightful. However, there are certain things to keep in mind. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, though they do arrange basic breakfast and snacks, which are decent. Reaching the hotel could be challenging for some travelers, especially senior citizens, as it is situated slightly uphill from Auckland Tunnel Road, and cars cannot go all the way up to the entrance. While some rooms are neat and well-maintained, others could use better upkeep—the cleanliness and condition seem to vary. The amenities and decor feel a bit dated, reminiscent of the 1990s, and the hotel building itself shows signs of aging. Overall, Hotel White is suitable for budget-conscious travelers looking for a centrally located stay with friendly service and scenic views. But if you’re expecting modern facilities or easy access for elderly guests, this might not be the best fit.

Hotel is beautiful and cleaned . Its on mall road so its easy for shopping and spending time on mall road without walking too much . Rooms r big . Service is good . Taxi stand is also near by . Best place to stay for tourists because of prime location

This is not a great hotel but we chose this because of its proximity to the Auckland tunnel on highway. As we checked in there were no towels no water. It took some time for getting all these right It’s a budget hotel so think accordingly

I first visited here in 2020 and, believe me, I fell in love with this hotel. The views, especially, are absolutely stunning! The best part is that every tourist spot is nearby, so you can easily walk to them. If you're planning a trip to Shimla, do make sure to check out this hotel.

Stayed here in December 2023 for 8 nights. Excellent experience. Accommodation enhances holiday delight & this hotel does just that. Walking distance from the Ridge, which is the most happening spot of Shimla. Kishor ji and & a guy who served us tea & food in room are very polite & co-operative. They also provided us cab for sightseeing throughout our stay, to pick us up from Auckland tunnel, & drop to the railway station. We requested early check-in & got it before 9 am. They also allowed us late check-in. Tariff & cab charges are reasonable, & they didn't charge extra for anything. View from the room is amazing. Cleanliness, spacious room, safety, comfort, & everything - exceptional. Strongly recommend. If we'll visit Shimla again, ONLY Hotel White will be our choice.

Its just 5 minutes walk from the mall road. We stayed there for 2 nights and it was nice. The room was spacious with valley view. It was neat and clean. It has a balcony attached to the room however we couldn’t use it much because of frequent monkeys visit else everything was fine. I would recommend it to other travellers travelling to Shimla.
