What a charming, lovely stay! The Hotel Windsor in Düsseldorf completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, I felt transported to a cozy, charming corner of old England. The hotel’s English-style decor is simply perfect — it's full of character and warmth, not at all like those soulless modern hotels. The room was an absolute dream: so cozy, quiet, and thoughtfully designed with beautiful English-style details. The comfy bed made it hard to leave in the morning, and the whole atmosphere just feels like you’re wrapped in comfort and charm. A sweet little cake was waiting for us in the room when we checked in, which was such a lovely touch. 🧁 The staff were super friendly, helpful, and genuinely warm — it really made the stay feel special. I’ll definitely be back with my partner on our next Düsseldorf trip. If you're looking for a place with character and charm, the Windsor is the perfect choice! Can’t recommend it enough.

Will not come back. Hotel is fairly clean and has its charm (if you like old English style), but basics are definitely missing. 1. No access to water! Neither bottled nor kettle is available in entire hotel. I asked for boiled water to take a medicine (when I caught the lady during the day) and she clearly was unhappy and made comments about people damaging devices…. How wrong…. For my medicine in the evening no one was unfortunately around and kettle was locked in the kitchen which was unaccessible. Very unfriendly. 2. No Internet. Both me and my husband had to work 2 days and we had to find our own solutions as Internet was not working…. 3. Women at the place are indeed not very friendly. They are around just a few hours in a day. Later no one is around. Overall a plus for no problems with late check-out.

The hotel itself is charming, with clean rooms and a delicious breakfast that definitely starts your day off right. The location is also great — peaceful and well-connected. Now… let’s talk about the reception. Imagine checking into a hotel and being greeted not by warm hospitality, but by two school principals on a bad Monday. 😅 The two ladies at the front desk were anything but friendly — no smiles, no warm words, and one of them refused to speak English with me, which made things a bit awkward. Also, while the room was clean, the bed linens looked like they’d seen better days — maybe a decade ago. Time for an upgrade! Overall, I enjoyed the quiet comfort of the hotel and the breakfast, but the atmosphere felt more “strict boarding school” than “relaxing getaway.” A little smile goes a long way, ladies! 😊 I will not come back 😬generally customers service in Europe is ZERO!

Stayed with friends while visiting some football matches nearby. Convenient location close to train station and old town. Rooms were spacious, good bathrooms and friendly staff. You can hear the tram in frontduring nighttime, so if you are a light sleeper that might disturp you. ||Would go again when visiting the area.

Lovely hotel w/ old time charm. Very clean, room was big with a balcony! Big bathroom & near trains to old town or about a 20 min walk & best of all there was cake in the room on arrival! 😜(was lots of stairs & not sure if there was a lift?) but def rec

My stay was really good. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff members were incredibly courteous and attentive throughout my entire stay. The room was clean and comfortable, well-equipped with everything needed. Hotel Windsor's excellent location added another layer of convenience to my stay. The atmosphere of the hotel, with a classy British ambiance and antique furniture, truly sets Hotel Windsor apart. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious additional breakfast served every morning. It was the perfect way to start each day. Overall, I had a great experience and would 100% recommend Hotel Windsor.

An amazing quaint place to stay in Dusseldorf. Great breakfast and amazing rooms and service. Highly recommended for a weekend trip. Especially, if you are looking for something quaint and not the standard chain hotel. The lovely lady found a small bottle of wine for me from the cellar. Loved it.

Beautiful hotel, it felt newly decorated. Very friendly welcome, stunning room on the top floor overlooking the front but so quiet. The most comfortable bed and pillows (my back was very thankful). Book breakfast, the selection and quality was amazing. Tip: the tram stops right outside with three options (so no wait) to get in to the centre with only four stops, You can get a ticket on the platform. Would definitely stay again. 10/10

Yelp
This lovely period hotel may be in a 200 year old building but the amenities are completely up to date. Remarkably quiet in the middle of the city with comfortable firm beds and down comforters. The bathroom is new spacious beautiful and sparkling clean. The balcony has a security door so we could have fresh air open all night. No elevator but the walk up the beautiful staircase more than made up for that. I had to downgrade it for the pall of cigarette smoke that made the lobby entrance most unpleasant. Location is convenient to transport right in front lots of bakeries-and restaurants pharmacies. Lovely walkable neighborhood.
