Nice, clean, spacious room with comfortable beds. The location is a very short walk from the Altstadt.

Exceptional hotel, very quiet even though we were on the Main Street. Lovely friendly staff and room had great facilities. Would certainly recommend.||The shower facilities and storage great room size perfect for a couple, TV and coffee facilities available.

We stayed in the attic room for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms are decorated in a way that make you feel like home and super cozy. It's special in my opinion that you are looking forward to return to your room and spend time there. I liked the shower gel and soap in the bathroom as well as the very affordable choice of drinks. There is also a coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was reasonably priced as well and had a great variety of choices, many of them homemade. We especially liked that there were also some cooked options like fried veggies besides the classic German breakfast options. All ingredients had a good quality (especially the bread) and you could feel that the hotel did not save on this end. This is great as I often find hotel breakfasts disappointing. The staff is super helpful with everything and all our wishes were made possible. Overall I would highly recommend Wohnbar to everyone when travelling to Bamberg.

We wanted a hotel near the old town as we were only in Bamberg for two nights. It's a cute little hotel with interesting art as decoration. The room was fairly small but perfectly o.k. for us. The staff was helpful and the breakfast really good.

We stayed for 2 nights at Wohnbar in the "Natur" room. The room is spotlessly clean and can accommodate 3 people. One gets a feeling that the rooms have been recently remodeled with new flooring, new bathrooms and new IKEA furniture. It's quaintly nouveau in a town where the architecture goes back a thousand years! The location of the hotel is in the middle - smack between old town and new town and close to the University of Bamberg. So a walk to anywhere will never be more than 5-7 minutes. There are lots of cafe's / deli's around the hotel. We have returned to hotel close to mid-night and it felt perfectly safe. There is a cute patio in the hotel and they also have a couple of cycles for the use of its guests. Housekeeping does a great job and we always returned back to a spotlessly clean room. We were concerned about the lack of aircon but need not have - while the days could get warm (and the small table fan helped a bit), the nights were surprisingly cool and we didn't even need to use the table fan. The car park was a small walk away and we were handed the parking card and a direction map. There is a small square at the end of the hotel lane where you can park your car and unload / load your bags conveniently. The reception was super friendly and extremely helpful for any questions or guidance that we wanted. No, I don't speak German! (I do believe that when the intent is to help, language can never be a barrier!) At the end of our stay, we left behind an extension pin of a multi-plug. When we requested the hotel on email if they could post it to our next destination in Germany, to my great delight they did post it in time to reach us before we flew out of the country! Such small deeds say a lot about the people and for us, with this small act of kindness spoke volumes about the hospitality of Wohnbar! Thank you Wohnbar for a wonderful stay! Would I recommend Wohnbar to a friend? Absolutely!

While this hotel is centrally located and has lots of space, there were several problems. After the first night they took the remote for the A/C so we had to open the windows. With no screens on the windows this let in moths and mosquitoes. They had a breakfast in the morning which only two of our party ever had (and one day not at all) and they charged us for all days for all of our party! Then, they told us we were “dirty in the bathroom” and should “leave a large tip”. We hung up our towels every day, never asked for new ones, so we aren’t sure why. One of our party was sick in the night and we can only presume it is that we didn’t clean the toilet?? But they have staff for that?? We plan to return to Bamberg, but will choose a different hotel in the future.

We wanted a hotel near the old town. Reaching the hotel by car was challenging - finding the car park (despite the useless information were given by the reception) nearly impossible (due to complicated one-way systems and road works). The receptionist was not particularly helpful. The room was small and a somewhat noisy (although the noise calmed down in the night). Our room was on the 2nd floor with no lift and - of course - no one offering to help with luggage. The breakfast was strictly for weight watchers (at €8.50 each) with powdered coffee.||Of course, one expects to pay more in the middle of a city, but this was nearly the most expensive and poorest hotel we had experienced in Germany.

Not quite sure whether this is really for one nighters or for longer term apartment stayers. We were there for one night. Car parking is €10 and is quite a walk away in a public car park - the instructions we were given were minimal and we ended up losing the hotel card and paying twice. The receptionist was very upset with us but be careful! It is not at all clear. Our room was fine - but poorly equipped; no yea or coffee provided. We being the last guests to arrive (at 1630) the receptionist shut up shop and locked up so there was nobody to contact. Breakfast was OK, but expensive for what it was.||||We felt this was not great value for money - functional, good location, but impersonal

Yelp
The good: - good location to all the attractions of Bamberg - service was excellent - inexpensive - hotel offers Segway tours Not so good: - the room we were in is right off the inner courtyard, a hub of activity and can get quite loud in the mornings - no air conditioning in the rooms - had to keep windows open to the courtyard
