My family and I ( 2 Adults and 2 13 yr-olds) stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights in October. PLease note that this hotel is located in a pedestrian zone and by right no cars are allowed in except for drop off. So if you drive, you can't park at the hotel but their parking garage is about a 5 min walk. I dropped my family off at the hotel ( pls note google maps will not work in there so you need to estimate your way around) and then drove out to return the car at the Wurzburg train station which is literally a 5 min walk ( and which you can see from the hotel itself.. it's STRAIGHT down a road KaiserStrasse) .|Location wise, this hotel is a winner. Opposite the hotel is the tram stop. 5 min away the main train station. Walkable to all the sights - the alte Mainbrucke bridge (remember to buy a glass of franconian wine and drink it there), Wurzburg REsidence ( a very nicely restored palace), churches... and if you really want to walk 30 mins or so, it's the Marienberg fortress but everything else is EASILY walkable. you don't need the tram unless you really want to go further out. A 10 out of 10.|Hotel is in a pretty old building but the rooms were well appointed. I had booked a family room via Agoda and I was given a suite on the top floor which unfortunately there was no lift for that last flight of steps so we had to lug up our 3 lugages. Since we stayed 2 nights, at least I didn't have to lug it down the next day! The suite was very spacious with a bedroom ( 2 single beds), a nook where the fridge and coffee/tea was located, and even a shared balcony with another suite located near the bathroom. There is another smaller balcony ( looking STRAIGHT down kaiserstrasse where you can see the main train station) at the main room which had 2 other single beds) with a working desk, wardrobes etc.|It has a very old world feel to it. Everything worked just a little creaky! LOL|The heaters were all over the suite which warmed everything up nicely since we went during the start of winter. That was good! Black out blinds as well. Lots of plugs everywhere as the hotel used extension cords for the floor lights, which we used to plug in our international adaptors.|The room was a *little* bit noisy sometimes due to the people outside ( location is good so you will get people walking up and down late at night) but not too bad.|Nescafe pods and tea was provided as well as some mineral water. There was no kettle but I brought my own to boil water. |I didn't opt for breakfast so I cannot comment on the breakfast but I did see that the restaurant had allot of people going in and out for meals and there were many signed photographs on the walls of people ( as I am not from Europe I won't know any!) .|Overall a nice stay and there was a very lovely and smiling older lady the 2nd day we came down to go walking, and she pointed out certain things on the map for us to go to. Thank you madam! :)|I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to Wurzburg. A well maintained hotel.
