We stayed at Wysses Rössli Schwyz for 3 nights at the end of May and were very happy with our stay. The room and the hotel overall were sparkling clean. The bed was comfortable with a very good mattress, and the bathroom had a nice shower with good hot water and pressure. Everything seems to have been updated recently. Breakfast had a very good selection of fresh bread, eggs, meats, yogurts, fruit, cereal, and various freshly squeezed juices. Coffee is made fresh and to order. If the weather permits, you can have breakfast on the balcony, which we loved. The server was very attentive and kind. In fact, all the staff were very nice and accommodating. The location is beautiful, right in the center of charming Schwyz, with a wonderful view of the square and Grosser Mythen. The center of the town may not appeal to light sleepers as the church bells ring regularly. I wasn't bothered as I sleep like a rock, but a good set of earplugs would solve that. Keep in mind that many hotels (and homes) in the area don't have AC, and this hotel is no different. For travelers used to cool AC, this could present an issue. A good fan next to an open window would help a lot, so ask the staff if they have one. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Wysses Rössli in Schwyz again and would like to share my impressions here. The hotel has recently renovated the rooms and it shows: the facilities are of a good standard, with a very comfortable bed and a nice, modern bathroom. The Japanese-style toilet, which is equipped with a water spray function for cleaning, is particularly worth mentioning - a real highlight! Unfortunately, there are also less pleasant aspects. The reception is hardly staffed, which means that you should not expect concierge services. Even an adapter for Swiss sockets was not available, which is quite inconvenient, especially for international guests. The breakfast, on the other hand, was excellent and left nothing to be desired. The attached restaurant was fine, but I found it less convincing compared to previous visits. Overall, a mixed impression: the new rooms and breakfast are definitely plus points, but the lack of service at the reception and the declining quality of the restaurant spoil the overall picture a little.

I stayed here on a motorcycle tour through Switzerland. It was basically a night in hell. The hotel is located on the main square which is cobblestone and therefore cars make significant noise as they drive by all night long. The overnight lows were in the 60s the night i was there and to keep the room cool you had to leave the windows open all night. So you could hear people, cars and the church bell ringing all night. And it was my perception that it chimed every 15 minutes on the quarter all night long. I laid there in bed waiting to fall asleep and hoping that there was some ordinance at perhaps 1am or 2am that would turn the clock off. Spending one night here in the winter perhaps would be fine but on any reasonably warm day you can expect to have a very noisy night all night long. For those that can sleep through a rock concert and dont need climate control you will probably find it acceptable.

Beautiful, clean, renovated hotel with old world charm. Located at the town plaza with restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Our host spoke English and was very helpful with tips about parking and local services. Breakfast offered a variety of healthy choices, which was much appreciated. A community market is held in the plaza on Sat mornings. Stoos Ridge funicular is only a 10 minute drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!!

I stayed for one night before the Stoos hiking. Very central location, perfect view from room - while still quiet at night. Good facility, even with a Japanese style toilette! Good service as well, very welcoming. Recommend!

The nicest people running this charming historic hotel. Excellent breakfast, very clean, beautiful flowers. Sean was most understanding and generous to deal with our late arrival due to cancelled flight. We shall come back next year to hike in Stoos - was cloudy and windy, the gondola could not work so we shall attempt again. Funicular spectacular.

Great service and very comfortable and pleasant stay! We called to request a room last minute when our airbnb booking elsewhere fell through. We were very quickly accommodated with our baby and everything. Comfortable room and bed, quiet at night even on a Saturday, good breakfast, and very friendly service. We appreciated the warm welcome at the reception. Thank you!

I was in town for the stoos ridge hike. The service at this hotel was excellent and outstanding! The person at the front desk was incredible, he deserves recognition! The breakfast was excellent, you will be well taken care of with a wide selection of foods (eggs, different selections of cheese, cured meats, smoked salmon, fruits, yogurt, cereal, the list goes on). The hotel is in a central location, steps away from the bus station (where you will board to go to the stoos ridge hike), also a bus ride from the train station, steps away from shops, restaurants, and the coop market for groceries. There is a church clock bell that goes off every once in a while, but the hotel supplies you with ear plugs, I'm assuming this would also be a issue at any other hotel in town since it's a town clock bell that could likely be heard everywhere. The one thing I recommend is if staying during the summer, bring a portable fan as most hotels don't have air conditioning. I do recommend this hotel, overall the service was really outstanding and i'm so thankful that they made my stay memorable and amazing!
